Yes, if you didn't drain the carbs beforehand and it's been sitting for that long it could definitely have some gunk in the carbs causing problems.

It allows you to advance or retard the timing on the engine. Alot of people use them to enhance their bottom-end performance, also works well in combination with a cool-head.

You've really got the Shee looking good, man. I bet it's nice to take off from your house and drive your ATV on the road to the riding area without having to trailer it! I've also heard this about them. Because of that If I go wider it will be with A-arms and axle.

I recommend a Nosshead. They work great, use the existing studs, and install pretty quickly. You should be fine with the 21cc domes to run premium unleaded. You'll notice a difference in power right away.

Yes I had a carb cap vibrate loose one time. Like stated above it's always good to check the nuts and bolts from time to time. Keeping the air filter clean is also very important... if your riding in very dusty conditions it should be cleaned and oiled often. I change the transmission oil on mine alot also, theres no filter like a 4-stroke so it's a fairly quick and inexpensive job. I think on average the back tires are usually the first thing thats going to wear out on a Banshee! lol

A special piece you can buy that's made of billet or plastic that mounts at the front sprocket area. It protects the cases and transmission if the chain were to break and lash.

Sorry about your cases getting broken like that, man. That was really messed up of UPS to do you like that. You guys are scaring me, I'll be needing to ship my motor in the near future. I've never shipped one before but I was already worrying about something like that happening and then I read this. Hope you get yours welded back and everythings alright with them.

I don't know if the break-ins on the big builds are any different than a stocker, but I just followed the manual procedure except the hours part. Kept it three quarters throttle or under and varied the rpm's for About four or five tanks and then let'er rip. (of course with the ocasional short burst of WOT!)

I think I will go to FAST with it. Like Tyler says Jeff backs up the work and on something like this I want to know that it's done right. I've made up my mind, when the time comes for it I'll give Jeff a call and get something set up, then get ready to ship my motor. Thanks for all the replys regarding this, guys.

I see what your saying, AZCUSTOMQUADS. The builder can provide an awsome set-up, but it's up to the individual owner to keep it dialed in and running at peak performance. So a builder can't always have his work judged by a bike that's not running as good as it should. I'm going to give them a call and see what kind of prices and wait they have. I admit it would be nice to have the work done this close to home because I could just drive instead of worrying about shipping. It's still a little in the future so I'm just researching the options. Yes their add says they have a large assortment of billet, oem, and aftermarket parts. Their advertisements say porting, boring, sleeving, and complete rebuilding.... but you may be right about them not doing it anymore because I was having trouble on their website finding these services. I may give them a call and see about this. I appreciate the info.

Maybe I will check with F.A.S.T. and see about shipping my motor to them and see what kinds of rates they have. I haven't quite made up my mind if I want to try to do the work myself yet or not. If I do it will be my first time and I just want to make sure I don't mess anything up.

I was wondering if any Florida riders have used TDR in Pompano beach for engine building. In less than a year I'll be getting a 4 mill crank with pistons and haven't decided if I'm going to do it myself or have a builder do it. They do porting also, but I've decided to go with F.A.S.T. on that, I'm just looking around for options beforehand so everything will be ready when I get the parts if I decide to have the motor assembled by a builder. If anyone has any experience with them please let me know about the quality and rates for their work. Thanks, -Jamie

I still have my fenders on, but I'm with HammerShee99. If I ever do cut them it will be the"half cut", I favor that look over the fully cut.

If I had 3500 cash and a few hundred dollars for traveling gas I'd probably end the "which one" dilemma by buying it myself! lol :biggrin: . That is a good price on an awesome quad.

Nice KFX, Titan up. My boss is wanting a special edition one like that. He does alot of trailriding and a few woods races a year. I think it would do awesome in those areas.

I worry about rust alot. After I clean my quads I usually take a rag and wipe them down with a light coat of WD-40. flyhighprerunner I know the one your talking about, the Turtle-wax chrome polish. It does work good, I use it and your right about the replacement elbow! lol
