  1. well said, fire off some emails and make some calls. i went through and sent a dozen emails and the ones that emailed me back i called and talked to them a bit more. Denny at flowtek is going to do mine. he was a great guy to talk with and was patient with me through all my questions. he even made some recommendations of what would good additions to my port.
  2. my wideband o2 got here fine and friggin quick.
  3. on my blaster i landed a jump and one of the foot peg bolts bent and the other one broke off, i was not a happy person
  4. Also Me VS Ls1 Firebird http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v114/Fra...ent=stangvs.flv Those are my tires you hear. Stupid 15in tires.
  5. Since the banshee is laid to rest till spring when i redo the motor i decided its time for some boost. Ive had a couple 2.3t Mustangs so i decided i wanted a turbo 5.0. The goal is 400rwhp that is streetable down to air conditioning. this is at 8-10psi and the turbos should be efficient to 14 before dropping off the compressor map. thats enough enough boost to shatter a late model roller 302 The car is just your basic bolton 5.0 with a gt40 topend, trick flow cam, aod and shift it, and 4.10s in the rear. probably 240 to the rear wheels currently I hit up ebay this week and here this months purchases: 2 of these: They are smallish IHI turbos found on the 87-88 turbo coupes. should spool by 2500. One of these to keep tabs on the AFR: Wideband of course These are the headers. they require a bit of modding to work with the accessories but for the $160 i paid for them who cares? Of course gotta have the ricer BOV... Also bought another set of turbo flanges to use as spacers if needed but no pics of those. Next month ill get the intercooler, 42lb injectors, and the MAF meter and probably the little things like feeds and drains, couplers and clamps. then eventually a couple more guages and some misc stuff to round off the installation. im shooting to have it drivable by easter for the local rod run. Some pics of the car, its not painted as i havent figured out what color or anything so i just keep making it go faster: Broke the drivers side motor mount on this one Ill most more as i get stuff in and mocked up on my spare motor.
  6. no they are just small, 26mm. I run 28's with just bolt ons and have been advised to think of 30's when i get it ported. no more caps please!!!!! i couldnt even read your original posts  made me crosseyed.
  7. agreed, it looks like it was ported for a 4mil.
  8. My new AEM Wideband o2 is coming dhl, i wasnt too thrilled but we will see how they do.
  9. i had to do the weld-the-puller bullshit too except it took 2 pullers. the first one stripped out inside so i had to cut the bitch off and buy a brand new one just to weld it on to the flywheel ::
  10. getting parts ready for the topend after it gets back from porting but im having real trouble figuring out exactly what pistons are in it as there are no identifying marks. when i check them with my digital caliper the bores come out something like 64.8mm while the pisons come out slightly smaller. I am thinking of just going with a 65mm piston and call it a day but wanted to make sure its actually 65mm or is the bore 65mm and the piston slightly smaller? This is exactly why i hate buying someone elses shit never know what exactly they did ill check the bores again tomorrow morning and post the actual measurements.
  11. what exactly is the upper control to spindle?
  12. are you sure you moved the needle down? you need to move the clip up a notch which will drop the needle down.
  13. what did your piston to vavle clearance look like when you put it together?
  14. have you tried droping the needle down a notch? thats a hell of alot of compression too! The gas does not burn in the intake.
  15. I was afraid to click at first and... Sure shit i think i lost some brain cells on that one :ermm:
  16. Im not sharing shit, they can get the fuck out. i have lost 1 car almost lost another to these fuckers. Am i ever going to see my thousands of dollars i have lost? i think not. They want to come here legally then fine, but when they endanger everything i have worked my fucking ass of for because they think they are 'above' our law, they can get the fuck out. And before you spout off and call me narrow minded and to stfu, pm me for my paypal address so you can pay for their mistakes, then oyu may say anything you want about me.
  17. mine is setup about as perfect as could be and it still randomly smoked a little more out of each pipe when idling and starting  probably just some oil pudd;ed a bit some where
  18. You are going to probably dismiss this as not likely but i would be willing to bet that your head gasket (or in my case, an o-ring) is blown, however slight. the plug on the culprit cylinder, no to mention my brand new dome, looked exactly as you say. after looking into this to make sure i wasnt going to have a this happen again i ran across several people who had this problem and kept pulling their hair out over it. how is your coolant? it doesnt have to necessarily be using any but pull the cap off and kick it over/start it up and see if the water bubbles alot. the tube that AZCUSTOM is talking about is actually the choke tube and bad things happen when its not connected
  19. lol he is using celsius. to the rest of us thats like 77 (quick rough math, am i close?) in degrees Fahrenheit
  20. i would definately go up one size. i have to on mine anytime the temps drop below about 55F.
  21. what would you take for the headlights? one of mine got cracked in a midair barrel roll
  22. running gas with a higher octane than is required, in most cases, produces less power. I have 15/41 on mine and some gears are a bit long winded towards the top end but i ride all sand so i pretty much just use 1-4 or 2-4 when racing.
  23. i left the carrier on the bike and then had a friend hold the bike still. i turned the hub nut around backwards and screwed it on till it was flush with the end of the axle, i then grabbed my trusty 6.5lb DEADBLOW mallet and let loose a fury like the world has never seen! after about 10 minutes it came apart, needless to say everything got coated in massive amounts of anti-sieze. my new bearings were sealed so the grease fitting would have done me no good.
