NOS is a name brand for a nitrous system. you dont inject NOS, you inject nitrous. I hope those of you on here are smarter than the fast and the furious.
87 merkur xr4ti. mostly stock. just full poly bushings in the suspension and a 3in exhaust for a daily driver
86 mustang 5.0 twin turbo. heads/cam/intake. custom built twin turbo setup. megasquirt1 running the extra code. drag suspension
no pics but i have a 81 f250 i6/4speed thats the quad hauler/work truck
I am looking to trace my trinity pipes for aa good set of in inframe cpi's. no rust or peeling chrome please. the trinity's are fully polished stainless steel with aluminum silencers.
while it was torn apart this winter i did a basic clean up port on the cylinders (widened the exhaust a couple mm) i also put a timing plate at +5 on. before these 2 additions i was at 140 mains (this was verified on a dyno with a wideband to be correct). i put a 145 in there just to be safe the first time i started/rode it but it likes to bog out up top when i opened up the throttle. to big? should i try a 142.5 or go back to the 140. these are 28mm pwk carbs.
other specs are:
trinity head 18cc domes and 140-150 psi compression
vf2 reeds
kn in airbox/no lid
trinity stage iv pipes
all jokes aside, i built a drap blaster for a buddy.
it has a rdz drag pipe, pretty decent drag port, 3mil crank, vf2 reeds. i have a 38mm carb for it and need an idea on a safe starting point for it to get it started on gas before i go alky
my stock port/bore/stroke banshee eats 400's and of course the 440ex thats "fast as all hell"
i can get a honda 450 by about a bike but the pesky yfz and ltz 450's are just out of reach hopefully this year they are mine
i usually unload my quads first and start it and let it run while i get my gear and stuff on or unloaded. our entrance trail is about a quarter mile long and by the time i hit the sand she is ready and i let it rip.
8psi is just for starters. it should take around 12 to reach my goals. the bottom end is staying stock for now. it has a gt40 (cobra) top end on it with a trick flow cam.
i am in need of
the red headlight assuming it has a good lense, as one of my lenses is cracked.
a cap for the coolant resorvoir
and possibly the skid plate if it fits a banshee and if its any good
thanks.
yup 2. i would have to get the numbers off them again but they are the smaller turbos used on the 2.3t.
heres a teaser pic, better ones when its not so damn cold!
