  1. like was said they dont have to be perfect but close is good. Some say it doesnt really matter performance wise, i know it did on my buddies blaster, it would bog real bad off the line if they werent lined up. i like them to be lined up for appearance reasons.
  2. Trinity and cpi are 2 different style pipes. I have trinity's and love them. they are stainless steel rather than chrome steel and the silencers are billet aluminum and are awesome. the come on hard and strong in the midrange and pull like hell up top.
  3. Yes.
  4. Until you get yours ported, he is gonna waste you. Practice your launches and get them down so you have a bit of a chance. I ran several runs against one last month and it is crazy out of the hole, i managed to pull back up behind him towards the end of about a 500ft race but they are pretty damn quic
  5. may have a loose pilot? i managed to rattle one out at a jamboree. no one had ever seen that done before :ermm:
  6. dajogejr has it right, that or take it to a machine shop and hope for the best. Mine is fucked up pretty good too. gotta get it off this winter :ermm:
  7. Its a ford too!
  8. yes i would go back to the 14 or possibly even a 15 depending on your mods.
  9. i like to let mine run for a few seconds (no more than a minute) to ensure everything is freed up and in working condition. Pull both plugs hook up guage hold throttle open kick till the needle stops going up theres no point in kicking it more note reading rinse and repeat! readings will very as to if the engine is cold (or close to it) or at operating temps. consistancy is the key though.
  10. Crazy ass.
  11. that looks pretty nice with the red frame. i painted my blue, so much better than the stock silver.
  12. You must be a theif because you just stole my heart! Hi i lost my phone number, can i have yours?
  13. i was at a jamboree here on my birthday. we got pretty messed up that night and slept around the fire in 30F temps! nothing like some cold october air to clear up that hangover when we went for our morning ride!
  14. do you have any better pics?
  15. I know im digging this up from the dead but mine too was doing this and it always seemed a bit low on coolant. it would cut out and after letting it 'cool down' it would run run for a couple pulls. last weekend i took it for a final ride and it smelled like it was hot and finallly it died on me and was a bitch to kick, did a tear down in the middle of the sand while waiting for a buddy to come tow me and guess what, no coolant even though i checked it before i left to ride! Apparently i annihilated an oring and it slowly used all the coolant up. it scuffed the cylinder walls pretty good guess its really time for a port and bore!
  16. I know what you mean about giving it away. my mustang is/was a decent sleeper and even has a slightly louder than factory exhaust... well i changed cams again and it runs like a raped ape now but the rump rump rump at idle kinda gives it away. i always wanted to do a sleeper pinto... maybe with another 2.3turbo?
  17. nice 4 eye! ive had a few of them too. (7 to be exact :geek: ) Im down to just my 86 coupe now.
  18. i also have removed my bottom chain roller
  19. i see a few potential problems, someone feel free to correct me though, the chain would at max tension when the two sprockets are on the same plane. as the swingarm continues up the chain would get looser. I dont know if the stock banshee stuff goes that far as i am on top of it when i land hard enough to compress it all the way. the other thing is that if i have it adjusted all the way back it flops around i fear for the well being of my cases, lol. if i move it all the way forward and take out the appropriate links it is uncomfortably tight with me just sitting on it. same thing with the blaster i had.
  20. i agree, the stock carrier adjustment is a piece of shit, if its 1.5 in either direction, i got ripped by yamaha by more than an inch, im gonna get out the torch and welder and see what i can do it remedy that problem as a new swinger isnt gonna happen til fall of 08. heres a question that may help: whats availible that uses as much of the stock stuff as possible? axle, sprocket, brakes, etc? and is reasonable priced and is availible in stock, long and short flavors?
  21. I wanted F.A.S.T Racing to do mine but there is a 3 month wait. I am looking into either herr jugs racing or passion. those seem to be the 3 most popular and i have heard nothing but good things about them.
  22. the ones i have seen are lined with ceramic and have elements all around the sides.
  23. how deep are the marks?
