  1. oks o heres what ove decided to do... im going to drill a hole,, very striagt and very carefully, into the push rod, im going to tap it, then try to pull it out, etc.. if that doesnt work... imma start takin the motor out thursday.
  2. ook.. i just hit the lever with a hammer.. it came free, but not completely.. it still wont come out of its hole, and also the pushrod is still stuck in there as well. I tried pulling it out with a magnet but it wont come out.. it moves about a half inch forward then stops. The lever has full movement except for the fact that it wont come up. I was gonna put it back together and just say fuck it, if it runs w/e but i dont think its pushing the push rod far enough where it will activate the clutch. Im thinking there a piece of weld stuck on each end.. no idea how i should get it off.... help?
  3. oh yes i know exactly wut happened. the problem is is that the lever is STUCK in there. I tried pullin on it, wigglin it, etc. It is really stuck in there. i know how everything is setup. I just need to know how i can remove this damn lever. Also can i just reuse everything? or i gotta buy new stuff like a pancake bearing? and i also wanted to know if the pancake needed that silver ball or not. So i know wut to order to fix it. if someone doesnt give me a helpful answer soon imma just hit it with a ball peen. ::
  4. so, wait. im confused. I see the spot on the rod in the middle that the ball welded to, do i hit it with a chistle? or do i hit the top of the clutch thing with a hammer? do i need to replace that ball? do i need a ball with a pancake bearing? should i buy one? Im coming in and out of my house to check on this cause im workin on the quads and my lifted chevy. so its a mad world. Hoping this would be an easy fix with no parts to buy.
  5. yep i see the problem. I went to the hardware store, picked up a stick magnet, and put it in to get the ball out. I took it out and i see that the ball has been welded. But The ball came right out. How do i get the clutch lever out? Its still frozen solid.
  6. well, went out riding this weekend, and i was doin some draggin with the other banshee, up and down some of the hills. Now theres this big one that i spent alot fo the day on, and i gunned it when i went up, and let it coast down with the clutch opulled in. Now i had done this... 10 or so times when all of a sudden my clutch lever went dead and the clutch disengaged.. i was like.. hmm.. so i rode it back to camp without the ability to use clutch, took it home, looked at it, took it aapart.. and heres the problem... the lever that te clutch cable attachs to is rock solid, and is pushed up into my carb(was) i CANT GET IT TO MOVE OR ANYTHING... ive never had the rod and ball bearing weld thing happen before, cause i have a pancake in the dragger, is this the problem? is there any quick fix for this without splitting the cases? cause i just want to sell the damn thing. This stockers given me too much trouble. I need this problem fixed asap. Thanks for any help.
  7. well, this weekend my cousin came out from PA, and unfortunatly, im in the process of rebuilding my 2 quads. So in order to go riding with the rest of my family, for $150 i rented a stock YFZ 450. figured, hey this thing is supposed to be so great. and a banshee killer, so might as well check out the compettion. Well, needless to say, i was not impressed with it. It never seemed like it wanted to pull through any gear past 4th. Your had to keep it at high RPM's in order to get any type of accel. Things i was impressed with... the look was nice, it had a very nice wide, low stance to it, the suspension was a change from the banshee, it was nice, plush, etc. Another nice change from the banshee (quite frequently as it did) when it stalled, to just push a button and it starts right up. Now one of the more incredibly uncomfortable things i noticed, it to the right where the exaust pipe comes out, IT GETS HOOOOT. it was wicked uncomfortable, if u wernt moving at a fast enough pace to keep a constant high amount of air going through the radiator, it sucked. And i was wearing heavy duty jeans! and when i was towing the blaster back to camp at a slow speed, the 5 minutes of slow drving, i finally PUT MY LEG up onto the plastics cause it was burning my leg so bad, it sinched my hairs! O.o But other then the heat and the lack of power, its a pretty nice quad. Even though im almost positive my all stock banshee could kick its ass.
  8. if that banshee that u just listed isnt beating that suzuki by at least 15 bikes, something is seriously wrong... u should take ur cylinders off take pictures and send them too jeff to make sure whoever did your porting did it right. also u port timing might be off if he didnt set the porting up for a 4 mil O.o
  9. u need to prioritize those reeds. ull be choking your motor with the stockers :shoothead:
  10. yea basically it looked exactly like in your sig. I thought i migh be u cause when i first saw it i was like.. hmm.. ive seen that bike before somehere...
  11. guess not  btw... it sorta loioked liek jeepmans atv, and the other guys that looks just like his... ironically the live in az,, so either it might have been one of them, or theres a 3rd lol
  12. 60 shipped for the guy in the US, canada, well have to discuss the shipping price. shoot me a pm if your interested. And yes, i take paypal. i forgot to include in the description, that i dont have the extended foot peg bolts. Youll have to pick up some from the hardware store. ( no big deal, 3-4 bucks tops)
  13. was anyone on this website happen to be out by lake pleasent at the rinker site today? i saw someone on a really nice banshee, it might have had shearers or t-5.. wasnt sure which ones, didnt get a real good looka at it. He passed me a few times, tookk his little kid for a ride then let his son ride it. His son also had a bike that looked like it was custom built, but not in a goood way. one of those homemade creations.. ran nice though. Just wanted to see if they were on this site... Btw if it is someone on here, why were u runnin paddle tires in the dirt? ( it might have been a cub) he was smokin up the road big time with those paddles. fullbore plastcs, extended swinger ( maybe) looked like it might be a duner cause i think it had long travel suspension... thats all i remember

  15. do a plug chop. thatll put your suspisions in check. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html
  16. 1350!? maybe u worded it wrong but that price better include the cylinders! porting is like.. 400 bucks.. and a head is like.. 300..
  17. gah now its not working.. heres a new link..
  18. honsestly i have no idea.. the only thing i know is that for something with the carbs.. u either have to have them specially converted or buy special carbs made for alky.. and something with the reeds.. lol
  19. u cant put a stock motor on alky... i mean.. maybe u could.. but... i dont think it would be healthy for a stock motor... alky is used for the like.. extreme drag racers with like 14 mil stroker cheetahs and nitrous and stuff....
  20. u need to call an engineer who knows what he is talkin about. Try jeff. ( at fast in case ya dont know) guy knows his stuff www.farmandsandtoys.com
