  1. yea i always thought the 450 motors were torquer and were more reliable
  2. well thats weird... maybe just a coincidence? try it one last time and if it does it again work from there.. could just be a coincidence...
  3. didnt check it there cause i just got done running. (pressurized) and i was exausted when i got home so i just shoved everything in the garage. As for tranny oil.. ddidnt check that but what would that have to do with this? its white smoke... not blue.
  4. well.. i told u guys all the cool projects are here in az. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/mcy/334938409.html id like to know how he makes that thing have 800cc's
  5. it is a nice bike... id pay the money for it.. if i had it. bump for a nice bike.
  6. good luck sellin that for 5 grand o.O that is waaay overpriced. and the motor is stock.. i understand the suspension setup but still.
  7. I took apart and have built many banshees in my day. I am unaware of the chemical effects that race fuel could have on an engine that will be broken in, and for the most part, ridden on pump. It could have a higher heat for instance, bringing the cylinders to a hotter heat then theyve ever been, and that could cause some damage. I dont know, thats why i asked. :ermm:
  8. get wisecos. do not buy the yamahas. that is a bad idea. wiseco= reliable and cheap btw.. if your "builder" told u to buy yamahas, does he by chance work at yamaha?
  9. so hopefullt just a gasket? do i have to rebuild the top?
  10. ok.. so i decided to go on a family riding day today, even though it was hottter then hell. Since we were riding trails, i brought my screw around all stock banshee. Now, were got there at 8, and we started riding, about 9 it was 100 degrees out. Now we decided to stay till 1, and me, my dad, and my cousin decide to go on a trail ride. Now were about 50 miles out when, while in a dried up river bed we were in, i noticed the banshee started losing power, but i just figured it was overheating. So i keep going. Now eventualy we stop, and since im taking up the rear, AKA roost city, We stop to take a breather. as we stop, i notice that whern i look behind me, MY RIGHT EXAUST IS SMOKING WHITE SMOKE SOMETHING FIERCE. i was like, UH OH. So, i call my dad back, after chasing him down, and tell him we gotta head back NOW cause i got a coolant leak. so we head back. the ride back with the leaking coolant as about 15 minutes on rough terrain. It was about 105 out. What do i need to do to this? never had a coolant leak yet.. figured its the head... havent gotten to look at it yet. Was it the heat that caused this? Do i need to replace the pistons now? do i need to bore it? replace the head? etc? thx its an all stock 88 soo.. u know.. its OLD. but for 800 bucks? it works.
  11. the tread wasnt supposed to be weather or not i SHOULD do it, but weather or not i COULD do it. i had no idea if i could, didnt know if id blow the motor or something like that, so i asked
  12. dont have the money to put another 15k into a banshee O.o beliuve me guys, this will work. i have the original 25 min prep time and i normally come in an hour early anyway.
  13. mmmm candle.
  14. cause im not interested in running race gas while playing around and not winning money. race gas is 55 bucks for 5 gallons here :/
  15. 19cc domes? u might want to check your compression :/ listen for any pinging sounds.. alot of times on 19cc domes u gotta run 50/50 or straight race.
  16. sry cant tell ya :/ some of them arnt exactly "legal" gota know someone to get in. sry.
  17. it is well worth my time and effort and the moeny. Before each race, we get a 20 minute prep perioid, which will be plenty of time for me. And i wanna run it on pump when im not racing cause it doesnt seem worth the moeny of 8 bucks a gallon to just screw around. There is often big money and bets placed at the races i go to, so it is very well worth it. I was just wondering if i COULD do it.
  18. ok.. im getting close to the amount of cash i need to get banshe running. Itll be a 4mm cub. but the thing is, im going to run it on pump. Does anyone know how much horse power i can expect with it on pump? And heres the other thing I plan to be doing some compettative dragging. so my question is this... if i spend half my day just chillin and crusin the dunes, can i go back to camp, swap the 21cc domes for 18's, and run race gas in it while im draggin for the rest of the day? im kinda curios.. cause itd be awsome to see the looks on my friends faces when before they were blowing me by and now im owning them
  19. good god.. t-5,s shaved, all that good stuff, stroker.. 1800??? thats a nice deal man. bump for awsome deal O.o
  20. damn dude snatch them suckers up. works dual rates with rezzis is some of the best shocks out there. and for only 200? nice.
  21. i do race some compettetive flat track every other weekend out here on a local track a friend owns.. thats why he told me to look into these. last week i had to forfieght cause in lap 3 i slammed into my fiend and my tire came off and i trashed my rim. :/ nothing too too agressive, but we do hit each other sometimes. Not for money or anything, and its just with friends on days the track is closed. ( good to be buddys with the owner) so i was wondering which tires i should go with? ive heard good things about holeshot, heard they hook up nice. was gonna go with the GNCC's... also which beadlocks should i go with? the only things i can find are the ITP bead locks on RMATV. Are they good or should i go with something else?
  22. Ok.. i was looking around, and i saw alot of people are starting to favor a type of wheel called bead locks. I know this sounds dumb, but what are these things?i dont have them on my super-light 10 paddle haulers.. but i dont think i want them on my dune tires.. theyre not on my mohawks either. i was gonna get them on the new holeshot fronts and holeshot GNCC's on th rear... but i dont know if theyre worth the price... what are the advantage of these? are thyey worth it? i didnt get them on my sand tires, cause i think they might be heavy. So whats the good and bad on these things? also do you guys reccomend the holeshot GNCC's? what else should i get?
