The hole is ready there. You just have to finish drilling it through. Then just run the tap into it. Not real complicated. You will most likely have to flatten out the portion that sticks out though. But still not a huge deal.
So when you installed the new tie rods, you left the ball joint parts bolted to the spindle and the steering stem? Then unthreaded the shaft? Then when you put the new shaft in the flat spot is on the inside?
What if you made a new tube and also made spacers for the bearings? Get some steel pipe the correct diameter so it hits the stops inside the carrier then just cut rings off it the correct thickness? Once you do that measure how wide it is and cut a new spacer tube to fit? That's why you're talking about right?
Ya get some FMF sparkles or some pro circuits. I think JD some of the PCs on maybe CPIs? You could make anything work. I've been thinkin about doin something to make my junk quieter. Getting old I guess. The biggass CFX silencers are looking appealing.
Off topic sorry, but street ride? Not legal I'm sure? How much time do you actually get in on pavement? Are ya runnin from the po po alot? Just curious how you go about it.
