  1. It looks like the stock nuts are too large in diameter to fit in the tight areas. Are you guys just using nuts and no washers or what? Thanks Dave
  2. I dont know if anyone ever got an answer but I have a stock stroke 68mm bore ill be putting together this weekend. I got everything from Jeff. The pistons came from Trinity. From what I understand wiseco didnt make any pistons for the 68x54 unless it was a long rod. This pistons were also a little more expensive than your run of the mill wiseco piston. If you want more info on this combo I can let you know after this weekend. 1966 Nova has the exact same setup but his is running at the moment so he can tell you now. Heres my list. 68x54 cub Noss head 19cc domes true/weld crank 35 pwk w/pods pingle shearer in frames vf3 reeds timing +7 110 gas +6 swingarm Fast clutch pancake max load bearing some other misc stuff. I got everything from Jeff at Farm and sand toys except for the pipes. He had it all in stock. If you want to switch to a stock stroke cub you are looking at $2500-3000 for everything you need. From the engine to the swing arm. Thats without a lock up or over ride. Im sure some people have done it for less but that is about the average price if you are starting with nothing. Dave
  3. Hes a good guy. I bought his shearers from him. Would buy again from him any time. Dave
  4. Yea I am going to try and get out there on saturday also. I will be needing some jetting ideas from you for my baby cub..Bansheeseat$$ Dave
  5. Never received payment. These are back up for sale. Dave
  6. No one needs paddles?
  7. Bought some paddles from him locally. Good deal and nice guy.
  8. Quit trying to beat me before i even get my motor tony....im gonna tell your wife on you LOL....
  9. a size or two bigger is ok...just relax and look at the big picture lol.. yes you will have 1" or more of the shank sticking out...just put some vise grips on it and unscrew it.... they arent as tight as they seem...just shitty metal that the screws are made out of. Dave
  10. yes, exactly.....just compare the shank to the drill bit......you got it...
  11. yea sounds like you have the general idea.... you only need to drill it out enough to where the head spins off of the shank......dont try drilling it all the way to the cases... Just find a drill bit a couple sizes bigger than the shank and drill it out....the head of the screw will spin right off and it will all come together lol....its really simple..dont over think it.. Dave
  12. Just do it the way i told you and it wont cost you anything...maybe 50 cents for a drill bit. when i say shank i mean the part of the screw with threads on it..... basically you are just drilling the head of the screw out larger than the diameter of the shank... when you are done you will just have the head of the screw with a hole in it and the shank still screwed into your case......then just break the screw loose with some vise grips. This is waaaaaaaaaaay to easy to do..you dont need to spend money on a bolt extracter kit.. Dave
  13. I did the same thing..those screws are really soft metal and strip easy... Get a drill bit just a little bigger than the shank of the screw.... The philips part of the head should center the drill bit for the most part.....just drill it out and when you get far enough the head of the screw will spin right off..... Drill all three out, pull the cover off, then take vise grips or pliers and take the shank out. That is the easiest way to do it I think... Dave
  14. I am selling my paddles. I only used these twice at Pismo beach. They are as new as new can be. Still have nipples on the edges of the paddles. They are 20x10x10 8 paddle Haulers with 10x8 .190 wheels. I need $150 + shipping for these. Dave
  15. Thanks for the help guys. I ended up buying the paddles from Moneybags. Nice paddles and hell of a nice guy. Dave
  16. I need some help on choosing the right paddle for my setup. I like to ride at pismo beach and sand mountain nevada. I am building a 392 cub, clean up port, with shearer inframes, 35 pwk carbs, +6 swinger and I weigh about 245lbs. I like to drag and dune. probably 60% drag and 40% dune. Also what gearing should I be running? Thanks Dave
  17. Ive got some cash in paypal that I can transfer to ya if you need to buy anything with paypal. Otherwise Ill transfer it to my bank and we can do something else. I have 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers if you are interested in those. They are almost new been to pismo twice. Dave
  18. Are these too much tire for my 392 cub? Jeff recommended 21x12x8 8 paddle extremes. I dont know if the extra inch in height and extra paddle will bog my motor down?
  19. How much without shipping for a local? i need to sell my haulers but if the price is right I could get these. Dave
  20. I still have these.....Going to ebay soon. Dave
  21. I am building the same motor and was trying to go at it like you are. I was going to try stock carbs, Toomey T6, didnt want to split the cases to weld the crank and wanted to run pump gas. The more research and learning I did, I found that just wasnt going to be the right setup and I was putting a couple thousand dollars worth of parts in jeopardy by not welding the crank. You can still build a cub. I am and a lot of people told me not to but its what I wanted. Its just gonna cost a little more than you see on paper I gaurantee that. I ended up with a 392 cub, 35pwk's, shearer inframes, +6 swinger, splitting the cases, welded crank, and race gas. I would have built a 421 but I didnt want to buy a new crank when my stock one is in perfect shape. Its great to hear what you want to hear when you call or research the motor you want to build. But when 9 out of 10 people say, chances are it will run but its going to make horrible power and your wasting a lot of money trying to put 80-90hp capable cylinders on a 45hp capable bike/parts it just isnt going to be what you want. With all that being said....hopefully my 392 cub will be together by the first or second week of October and I can go see if a cub is everything its cracked up to be. Just remember, build what you want. Make yourself happy. If it runs good, awesome, if it doesnt then you will just end up spending more to make it right. Dave
  22. posting pics for Cam. They are a little dirty in the pics but cleaned up really well.
  23. Yea it probably isnt the most adult or nicest thing to say about someones kids but I get really irritated when people try to fuck over honest hard working people. People that are even more trusting because they think we are all in it for the same thing.....enjoying our banshees. Dave
  24. It would be nice if there was some sort of feedback rating on here...If there is one and i didnt see it, my bad....I have done a few purchases and sells on here and it has been good. I think most people are okay and I try to believe there are still honest people. For those that decide to fuck people out of hundreds of dollars...I hope their children burn in a car crash in front of them. Dave
