  1. Is there a way to restencil the VIN to prevent this?
  2. I found them. Thanks. I'll order a 17t too. I have asv levers for regular bars. I do want new bars though. I assume thicker is more durable in a crash event Anyone know what tap sizes and die nuts will be most common on our bikes?
  3. With a 17t, you think ill have to give it a lot of rpm or slip the clutch alot to get her going in first taking off slow? We should have the same power off idle I assume. I do have a tether. I forgot about the chariot cover with bearing support. I do want that. Ill get one unfinished so I can powder coat it. Ill google that case saver to see who sells them and get one.
  4. considering just the engine is done, no.
  5. Well, after a house finish being built, wedding and layoff within 6 months this year, it seems i can make some progress. I made a list of what i need. Id like for some people to look it over and see what's missing. I know im missing lots of things but cant think of anything. it's been about 6+ years since i did a frame up build on this bike. I'm going to need new bearings for the chassis all around and brakes and lines. Not sure where to get those at. I think RMATV has all of that. I would like to do stainless steel braided lines. so far i have nothing used for the bike. The goal is all NEW stuff.
  6. I dont recall seeing cheaper than .223/5.56 and 7.62x39. I shoot those all day. Steel case. Its sad how it's cheaper to shot than my pistols. Check out the m&p 15 at Walmart. Throw on a decent scope and reach out to 1-200 yards and have fun.
  7. distance usually equals good ammo which isnt cheap. Plus if he is new to long range, he will need practice. Lots of practice.
  8. i wonder what head is on my 521. good benefits here.
  9. I freakin hate the way glocks feel. But it doesn't have a safety and proven more reliable in general, so thats why I got some
  10. Just remember if you get something with a safety, train and train and train to take it off. And carry with one in the chamber ready to go. The the corneal carry pistols with lasers are funny. You really think you will have time to use that when the shit hits the fan....most time people don't even use their sites.
  11. OP, how far you want to shoot, how often and how accurate you need to be. And how much stopping power meaning target or game.
  12. Ever got your rifle OP? If not check out the m&p 15. Near $600. All you need
  13. So Honda want open my new 39's? Damnit now I have to add something else to my build list
  14. These tires are still out of production?
  15. Sorry for the late response. I barely come here but that's about to change for good reasons. I wanted an anodized black cool head with no logos. They took a little more time to do since it had to be sent out i believe. No big deal. Came out great though! It's not like i had special mill work done to change the cosmetic design of it. i hope i didnt lead anyone into thinking that. As for the domes etc, that was all up to the builder. Goal was reliable broad pump gas power. not fancy peak dyno numbers.
  16. I used atf-f with my slingshot and over ride for years. Zero problems.
  17. So what's done to it since it surprises them 4 strokes?
  18. You can use a penny(it's soft copper) to put between the gears. I use an impact gun. Cheap sears one. It works due to it being so quick. Not slow like a breaker bar.
  19. I know it's very scary to split the cases but the Clymer does a good job. So yes, looks like you have to get it done.
  20. Might as well put a brand new rod and ball in there. Also buy a Cascade Inov pancake bearing. That way it's all new. One little bur or bad spot in the rod or ball could make it weld the next time you coast with it. I didn't believe people when they said do that. First 5 minutes with my override, clutch lever went limp.....
  21. Good points tricked. Like is said, I don't have any other experience. I thought my bike ripped until some stock stroke bikes busted my ass over and over lol I went with name brand 39mm carbs for my new 521 build and will always buy name brand from now one just for peace of mind.
  22. Ran 30oko on my 4mil for years. Not one problem. However, I never compared them to others.
  23. I already have ASV lever's and did that. But unless you can adjust wear it pivots, it wont make them easier. If it's adjustable where it pivotes, it may not allow the clutch to be fully disengauged. But tiny hands, i just meant i want to reduce hand pump. I like an easy pull. Does anyone know if ASV still sell refurb levers on ebay? I remember i got 3 sets years ago for less than $100 total.
  24. i have tiny little hands. tiny. i need one.
  25. Id recommend running light Springs with a lockup if you making a lot of power. Easy easy pull but won't slip . expensive but worth it for me.
