I just want to see how it feels to cut up with. I've got a 16t i can throw on for a sunday ride. Only way to know what I like is to experiment. I run 22" pulse most of the time. May bring my pro wedges too.
It better be the most strait and wide trails in America. Or you won't be in the power band. But the engine will tractor easily and be smooth. So it's a win/win. I asked my buddy with a 450r if he wanted to try my bike a couple weekends ago but he declined. I just wanted to feel how a slightly modded 450 felt on bottom end.
You are going to install that cool head and detonate harder than Hiroshima.
Leave the stock head on. And stop buying mods before you learn what, how and why a certain mod effects the entire bike.
I just want to see where the power comes on and starts to fall off with all the pipes. Not so much as how much it makes nor how flat the tq curve is. I really didnt expect a serval to pull over 10k rpms. I like being wrong lol.
I think it would take about a 800-1000rpm change where the powerband starts to come on for me to consider changing pipes. And considering i dont even know how that would feel, im need to stop typing. I dont understand power curves on a dyno vs seat if the pants feel.
Try the stock swing arm and stock shock first. THEN make a decision. My +6 freaking Sucks because it makes handling garbage and I make a hell of lot more power than you will.
Elks stage 3s and some good a-arms. Suspension > horsepowers.
However you need to have funds set a side for top ends, bottom end and other repairs/maintenance that comes up before mods.
That's pretty awesome how early they come on. They need to make some big bore SLP's.
As for the 16/40 gearing recommendation, I'd be against that unless you have some small tires, I'd try 15/41 at most first.
