man whats up with all the midget jokes all of a sudden...... :biggrin: 332 i will tell you ths about Dave..... i as most people know was getting hosed on a set of a arms from planet sand. Dave found out what was going on and that i had no arms for the race or the dunes the following weekend. he made a ph call and secured a set a arms for me at no cost to me to use as long as i needed them. not to mention all the questions hes answered for me,and the people hes hooked me up with to get parts at reasonable prices. im not swinging on his nuts either....but if you do come up here its not a good start to be calling people out like you have in this post,and then expect them to help you out. One thing i will say is Dave does come across a lil sarcastic at times...he will tell you that himself,but 99% of the time its all in good fun. Just chill out and leave the attitudes/whining at the gate and when you come up here everything will be just fine....and i promise you will have a good time. oh yeah....the midget jokes can be left at the gate too......lmao :biggrin: Dan

my best pass of the day was the first pass off the trailer,it was 4.95. closest i got to that all day was a 5.01. well i guess i didnt get any sand in the motor. bumped the timing to +8 and OMG did it come out of the hole hard!! hopefully i can get back to the 4's at albright. Dan

there will be no more of that.......lol :biggrin: i got a cpl tricks up my sleeve JD if my motor dont crap out on me from loosing a filter in the dunes..i should be 4.9's consistant now i hope. i was running consistant low 5.0's at WMSD....but that may also change goin to bobs too,different track may be a lil faster or slower. im getting to the track a lil early ...prolly like 9:45-10:00 im gonna put my new arms on at the track,and bump the timing a lil (the 4.97@WMSD was with only +4 timing) ive had no time to do it this week were so understaffed at work right now its crazy. well i talked to dan today, and was able to keep the tires for this weekend. he also gave me another pod filter to replace the one i lost in the dunes. so ill be there saturday for sure.... hopefully with no chain issues.....lol jt those masters come in today i got to pick them up tomorrow....i got a 5 pack......lol Dan

oh i know i got alot of work...and now add a new set of cases to the bill!!. and as far as the help goes....Dave you Shayne and JT have been there to answer every stupid question ive had,and i am very thankfull for every bit of it....without you guys steering me in the right direction i would be lost for sure!! i can attest to the fact that Roger will bend over backwards to help anyone he can. he has a ton of knowledge on these bikes and is willing to share it with anyone at anytime. Dan

i guess i cant complain about my 4.97 @62.3 mph out of a non lightened completely stock chassis and lil 70 hp play motor when i build the alky motor you cub guys better be watchin out!!! Dan

He blew it up???? WOW!!!!! that sucks...brand new motor too! as far as me having problems......seeing my bike go 4.97@WMSD was worth every bit of headache i had and every dollar i spent to make the trip! the holiday weekends are a ball up there you guys got me hooked once again! best part of the whole weekend was the ride i got to go on in the $125k suspension buggy(thanks Brent) that thing was sick!! it was a brand new chain from jeff...... broke about 3 links from the master. im almost thinking it might be the carrier is a lil off on the adjustment,not to mention the chain was a lil loose as well. that wasnt all of my issues Dave.....melted about a 2 inch section of wiring harness up too(got a lil too close to the pipe). rad hose popped off on me..... bent a sprocket hub.... yeah i had a few issues. jt dont worry about those masters....ill have 2 new ones for you saturday at bobs...and about 5 more in my toolbox...lol i think i figured out what happened to my air filter too jt.....when the chain broke it wacked the case on the same side the filter is missing on.... the piece thats missing out of the case prolly hit the filter knocking it off. Damn it was a long weekend......lol Dan

the leota trail system near harrison MI is also very nice.... and it is by far the best marked trail system in the state,trail maps at almost every trail intersection. hurry up and get that surgery done and get back out there!! i broke my hip a few years ago riding,8 months on crutches sucked,but as soon as could i was back on my bike. hope all goes well with the surgery/healing process Dan

i have the $40 tusk kit from rmatv.....my bike is almost 80 hp and it dont slip at all... use 3hd springs and 3 stock ones... Dan

the jets should be the same size.... put the needle in the 3rd slot form the blunt end... 280s are about right for your setup. my elevation is very close to yours and i ran 280's with k&n and no lid with t5's and a very mild port job and +4 timing and the same reeds you have. im thinking if you raise the needle 1 position youll prolly be very close hope this helps Dan
