with the mods in your sig a single 34mm would be ideal. I think a 36 would just be to big of a carb. If you can get that good of a deal on it buy it and either try to trade for a diffrent setup or sell it and make money for a smaller setup.

want shock's but do you's think i need carbs first
Washburn replied to mod quad 2's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Exactly, You will gain more overall power with carbs but if your doing MX with stock suspention all of the power in the world isent going to help. Actualy it will slow you down due to your bike not being able to handle all of that power through the whoops/jumps/corners sections. I would look into some +2+1 A-Arms for stability and shocks for handeling first. Thats what Im doing A-Arms shocks steering stabilizer then a 4mil and carbs. -
You could be killing it with the timing that advanced. I would go back to what you did and set the timing back to where you had it in the first place. If thats not it try everything else. But before you go buying parts check that timing. Thats my oppion.

Thanks for the help on my tire sizes guys
Washburn replied to trueraiderfan's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
They are a Really good tire. They last you a long time but most of that depends of the riding you do. Holeshot tread is softer, and they grip like mad on dirt roads and trails. They are lighter by a few lbs too. Not as meaty as the Razr tires espically the Razr IIs. . They will chew up much quicker than you would like if you ride on alot of roads. . If you ride alot of rocky rutty nasy trails that chew your tires all to hell I recomend cancleling your order ASAP and buying some Razr IIs if you want a good tire that will last you forever. Plus you can go somewhere else and get a better price. Holeshot make a damn good tire, they are my favorites, but the Razr IIs are more Ideal for my riding style. -
Wow, I dident realize its been that long since you"ve rode. I havent rode for over a month and Im going through withdraw. I feel for ya brotha. The Rotax is my Mechanics. I pestered him all summer to let me ride it in the winter and he said yeah as soon as I take it out Ill let you open it up and climb some stuff. I was psyched, I almost gave up hope untill it started snowing the other day. Now its just a matter of a few weeks I think. Ide never buy one. Ide rather have a low end torque monster 4x4 for hauling plowing working and having fun in the deep white stuff. Espicaly since my father wants to ride something in the worst way and he cant walk our property due to his back and he definatly cant ride the Banshee. Only my Mother rides the Banshee haha whole diffrent story. But I couldnt justify a snowmobile at all.

heh, same here. 1 house down from me all the way up my street everyone had power everyone down from my neighbors house and sourounding dident have power. Couple thousand people I believe. But you know its gonna snow and lay. This is the way it gets every year except it usualy happens a few months earlyer. Ill be testing out a badass Rotax snowmobile when it snows so Im pretty excited myself. Youll have your Bansh too when you get your jugs back. Good luck with that. Should be killer.
-
Yeah I can only Imagine how pissed off the sled guys are who dont have a backup toy around here. Snows comming though slowly but surely. Its been snowing off and on here for the past few days.

I couldnt agree with you more majicmike. I will have my premium membership before summertime not becaue it was pushed on me but because I want to support what I love.

You have to invest in a Clymers Manual. If you had one you would have had it done rite the first time. What costed you 200 dollars? Im guessing you took it to a Yamaha Dealer and they charged you 50 for the parts and 150 because you dont have a Clymers. I can get you a Clymers manual brand new for 21.50 shipped. Ebay also has them. RMATV Probably has them. Take your pick bro. Plus this site is a great way to get you through your projects. The only stupid questin is not asking one.

Your gonna love those tires. For Trails and MX they cant be beat. Decent price too. They are my favorite rough but not to harsh enviorment tires. I go with the Razr IIs because they also grip like mad and slide like noones buisness. They are alot meatier and they grip better in the rough stuff rocks, roots,Ruts ect espically up hills and they last more than twice as long as the XCRs. -
Yeah Ide give 13-1500 but with rediclous claims like that shows you he has no clue what he is doing, so it obviously had poor matnince. Who knows what components work. The engine is no big deal 230 to rebuild it yourself but its the frame components that hit your wallet. and if you look at his seller name that tells you alot. He may as well of used the name I smoke alot of pot and sell my stuff for bags. Mabey he tried and it wouldnt fit. Morons, I swear man. If nothing else its entertaining to a point.
-
Ha, comeon bro Ide think you would know me a little better than to try and sell a Banshee with a refilled boost bottle. That alone is worth more than the bike  What else do you think it is that makes it go 100+ on pump gas!
-
Hahah na man, I just put a bid of under 1k figuring I might hit a lucky streek with a rolling chassie I was suposto get that fell through anyway. Thought I might get a badass drag Banshee for a few Gs. Might as well wait for that winning lottery ticket instead

Ive tried an O Ring chain one time and it did not suite my riding style. It required constant matinence and it endend up seizing up. I used to run the RK Gold x chains then I went with a D.I.D. and never went back. They last longer. Just leave like 2 fingers worth of play. Always change your sprockets with a new chain and keep the old ones for spares. I usualy use sidewinder sprockets. Ive yet to replace a sprocket on my Banshee yet so I dont know what Ill go with. Sidewinder unless I find something better.

were the best place to put my bong in the banshee
Washburn replied to jack24piper's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
That is such a bad Idea. If your gonna smoke pot I really could care less but if your at the point that you need to bring your bong with you to ride and smoke your endangering other people lives with your slow ass reaction time and you have a problem. Marijuana and Fast vehicals do not mix. If it takes you crashing and breaking every bone in your body to learn that fine but if you take someone else with you be prepared to do alot of time behind bars! It would serve you rite! -
Doing it yourself is the ticket. I always figure Ill do it myself make sure to keep all of the parts bolts washers everything in order and if I mess it up Ill take it to my mechanic. Thats all internal shit. External stuff is easy if you keep track of what you did. Ive seen people with busted handle bars come in the shop and ask if he could fix it for them. He just says do it yourself it will be cheaper and more reliable with new parts instead of welded broke ass handlebars ect. Espically 2 strokes they arent exactly rocket science.

Sigh...Another Compression Ratio/Fuel Octane Thread...
Washburn replied to jayzx10r's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I would run a 60/40 blend of 110 and 91 at the least if it were mine at 160. That would suck if you had to change the domes out for bigger ones you would notice a power loss and if its running that well why not throw the extra money in for race fuel thats just MO. I know alot of people who run straight race gas in their stock bikes and swear by it. Some people I know put 110 mixed with 927 in their weedeaters. I thinks thats rediclous but, hey whatever. I run straight 93 at 150psi and SHEEs good. As soon as put my timing plate in and bump it +4 it should raise a few psi then I will run a blend. -
Happy Birthday my man  Take care of yourself today. Happy Birthday RIPPEN
-
I put my max bid in. I want these suckers. Good lookin out man!
-
Well the Clymers manual is definatly the way to go for do it yourself projects. I hear Jeff sets up a very strong clutch along with his port job/engine mods. So you are going to want to talk to him about what setup you should go with. Im sure he can help you out with everything you need and his prices are fair.
-
Will do.I bought it wensday and the guy said he would ship it out today so it should be here by monday. Just curious what project are you working on or do you just want one for future refrance? Either way its a smart buy.
