Places to ride in Northern California?
moneybags replied to Animalman294's topic in Riding and Events Forum
I live about a mile from where your talking about in marysville. The track in marysville under the bridge in now a pay track that is all fenced in and you pay to ride. I have never seen a 4 weeler on the track and I drive over it 5 times a week. I have never asked the people that run the track under the bridge in marysville about 4 weelers cause I had some words with some ass hole before they had the fence up. I was walking my dog's through their and some ass hole who was shooting meth. In his white like old jeep chearickey flipped out on me. Saying that I had jumped the fence and how they had just spent a bunch of money on a fence to keep people like me out. I told him that he is crazey and how I am so badass that I lifted both my dogs over a huge fence. My dogs weigh about 110 pounds. I never jumped a fence. As for the booby traps in the orchered. I would say that it is not the farmers but the homless people that live on the river bottom and shoot and cook meth. A bunch of dust is bad for buissness I used to to live in foresthill and can show some people some cool trailes and what not if anybody wants to do riden. I used to ride a CR80 to school back in the day up their. Their used to be some good riden behind the mill in foresthill but dont know if it is still their cause they are building a new high school right infront of it. Bottom line is that If anybody wants to go riden in northern ca PLEASE TAKE ME -
Well, I dont know what your deffinition of trail riding is. But if it is like, hay let's go climb that monster hill over their, then go see how fast we can get going top speed, then make a 1 or 2 mile gravel road mediem ride speed, then spin 20 donunt in front of a familey of five just so they can hear the pipes then, go mash through the bushes to hit a cheezy track with crappy jumps. all in 15 min of ridin Then yes I plan on trail riding my shee

So it sounds like It will be safe to take it for a ride before doing any jetting? I will be the one riding at sea level. I was thinking about bumping that timing aswell. I looket at the plug as soon as I got the shee. It looked real crappy. Like Black and carbon filled. I figered that was from starting it around the grauge and not riden it. I want to go with a 2 carb setup what size carbe should I get. Would a set of Toomey T5 pipes work good on the cub Insted on the sheares pipes?

Ok, I just got a banshee and I would like to know where to begin with jetting. This is what it has 2002 Yamaha Banshee 421 Cheetah Cub with Clean Up Port built by Passion Racing in 2006 (4 mill stroker, 68mm bore) Noss Cool Head with Custom Domes by Passion Racing (High Compression) 19 cc V-Force 2 Reeds Shearer Small Bore in Frame Pipes (Chrome) Direct Drive Lock Up Clutch with Custom Chrome Cover Cascade Innovations 2 into 1 Polished Intake Single 38 mm Keihin PWK wit LARGE BILLET BOWL Single Pingel Fuel Valve Adjustable Timing plate set at +4 Degrees The shee has a 220 main jet 52 pilet jet EEK needle on the bottom clip twords the point I will be useing pure race fuel. The guy I got it from said that it was set up for 4000 feet. I am at sea level wich is where I will be riden and temps around 60. Can I Use an airbox with the Shearer Small Bore in Frame Pipes?

I went and checked it out yesterday and it sounded pritty strong. I think that the motor is a little to much for my brother who is a pussy when it comes to riden. So maby I could switch the motors around with the one in my shee so he dose not kill him self. The bike looked pritty clean. The guy who had it did not seam like the kinda of jackass who likes to beet the livin crap out of his toys. I am pritty sure that somebody from this site is porbley the owner of it. Or his good buddy. As he said that he has a groop of 4 or 5 riden friends who all have Banshee's. :geek:

I have been looking for another banshee and came apone this one in my airea. I went and looked at it about an hour ago and it looks pritty good. Could I get your oppions on it? How dose it look as far as the engine being set up? What is it worth ? Has anybody seen it in auction at sand mountion? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-Yamaha...1QQcmdZViewItem Thanks

-
Is the pic on the screen? Can you read it? Also Thought that I would mention that I run my shee at 24 to 1 with yamalube and 50/50 race gas.
-
Mine are brand new and they are the same as you are decribing.
-
What do your plugs look like now? Bet it dose not run as rich.
-
I have the mods listed below and run a 310 main jet 27.5 pilet and clip on 2 clip at sea level and 65ish. Thinking of moving to a 30 pilet and a 320 main. You can see a pic of my plug in the I am LAMO post of the 310 and 27.5 jetting.
-
Did you mean a cool head with 15 cc domes?? If so are you using race gas?? I am just a newbee so I cant tell you your options. But, the above stuck out to me.
-
The higher the elevation the thiner the air. The more richer you would run. At sea levle the air would be thicker then say 4500 feet I am not trying to starte a bi_ch fight so I will save it for now tell somebody elce rings in on this If I am wrong then

pistons instead of porting?
moneybags replied to The Faster Cracker's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Can you run the pistions if you have your cyclinders ported??? Dumb question  -
Im with you on this I think that your are mistasken on the Cold weather = More dense air = less airflow But I am a newbee and not positive about it My 2 cent

I went riding today and had a blast. Once I left my house, I rembered the new plugs that I had sitting at home. And did not go back to get them. As for my shee it must have been running pritty good. Cause, the carb jetting was the farthest thing from my mind. I can email a pic of my spark plug to somebody. If they want to try to post it for me. Thad be cool P.S When I went riding I saw a cupple of kids on a new 400EX. I'll bet that he went home and shot himself in the head for not buying a banshee..... :: ::
