It's hard to tell from the pic and whether or not the silencer is twisted but it almost looks like it is on backwards. Seems like the top mounting plate on the silencer is "slid" to one side of the silencer some.

I've got a set of front and rear blue plastic that is uncut and in damn near perfect condition. I'm located in OK so shipping wouldn't be too high. What color/condition is your race-cut plastic in? Might be interested in a trade or I'll sell the blue. I also PM'd ya.

Ya just do that, I can't remember the reasoning behind gridning them down vs. cutting exactly. It did make very good sense tho.

Not sure on the ratio to mix it at but... $7 a gallon doesnt seem that bad. Most places around here sell it for $10 a gal. so....

I've got this same problem, but someone recommended to me to grind off some of the material on the spring instead of cutting coils off. This way you ensure that it keeps it's original length, just somethin to think about.

Would having run 7 plates on it affect it when you tried to run 8 since it's grooved so much?

Buddy that I ride with and me and his dad dropped a 502 in his '79 chevy longbed pickup. Waitin on the minispool so we can somehow try to get traction before we take it out and try anything too stupid

Also remembered if someone needs the clutch gear I've got a basket/gear that I broke one of the basket teeth on that I'd be willing to get rid of. PM me an offer on anything. The clutch pieces I have are an inner basket and pressure plate.

Already got the gaskets comin, figure if I get a decent weekend I'll tear 'er down and check all the tolerances to see if I can at least make it past Spring Break ride hopefully.

I've got a clutch basket that spins, but the gear is good. Would be a great deal if you're looking at getting a billet basket. Comes with inner hub, pressure plate, and springs.

As in, if you hold the gear in one hand and the basket in the other it will spin about 1/4" back and forth. Check out this video I made of it to show everyone. I'm always tryin to squeeze out all the power I can, so I run an 8" rim in the sand b/c less weight/mass=easier to spin, I know it probably doesnt make that much difference but, i take what I can get.

Bought it from a member here thinking it was good and it obviously isn't and spins, j/w if someone was wanting to try to fix a stocker that spins. Also has the inner hub, clutch plates, springs, and bolts.
