  1. I guess no one is going to dumont on Thankgiving day weekend. Well, I'll be there and I'll be there with my father he rides a honda trx450, mom she rides honda 400ex, and my aunt and uncle and the ride utility quads and I'll be there with everything listed below.
  2. I had to cut my air box because I was facing the same problem! I only sand ride if you go through water I would get another air box because the outer wear isn't going to stop water!!! My bike runs awesome with the air box mod I did!!! Good luck

  6. I have 4 headlights and I have a 200 watt ricky stator and I use 45watts in all 4. I think you can use up to 200 watts, I'm not the best at electrically either.
  7. Make sure if you use carb dip you have to remove everything that is rubber or plastic because the carb dip eats at the rubber and plastic. By the way carb dip is excellent, thats what I used to rebuild my buddies 1978 yz400 carb that was sitting for about 10 years and it got it to where it looked brand new.
  8. first you should take your air box lid off, you will see a big difference. if your plugs are black its still too rich, by just taking the air box lid off it can correct the black plugs, by allowing more air. take the lid off , get new plugs then do a plug chop, beware when you take the air box lid off it might make it lean. just check your plugs should be light brown. if your bike goes lean after you take the lid off the air box, try a 320 main, 27.5 pilot.
  9. go to google and search 400cc stroker kit, it should pop up with an alba kit, its awesome, it tells you everything you should do and have to run that kit, my buddy and I just finished putting his together and it was all pretty easy, no case mods required, if yu dont bore your stock cylinders with this kit it about a 375cc, if your going to put a stroker in you'll need new pistons, you should also get a pro design cool head and you have to get the domes cut to where the piston doesnt smack the top, you'll need new carbs i suggest 34 mm pj's or 35 mm pwk. v force 3 reeds, if you live in the san diego area, I could probably help you out.
  10. well i got another q.... when turing the air screw idle screw counter clock wise is that givin more air or more gas? it will idle at 46 clicks but its got a small bog when you crack the throttle not 2 sec like i posted befor but it is noticable that it bogs for a split sec befor taking off. i cant remember if after 3 or so turns if you need to go bigger on pilot or smaller? but i know the pilot isnt right if i got to go tha many clicks out. every 6 clicks is a turn so 46 clicks im looking at about 7 and a half turns. thanks in advance.
  11. k&n pods , no air box, i tried 30 clicks, still does idle i can get it to idle a little around 45 clicks but when you try to hit the gas it bogs for aboout 2 secs, any one else can help me would be great
  12. If it misses when your WOT then its probably your main jet, if its the jetting. Also I prefer dual carbs to me it seems like you lose a little top end when you only have 1 carb
  13. When you did the compression test do you only kick it once, because when I kicked mine once it showed 50 psi on both sides, also did you hold the throttle wide open? Kick it until the psi dont go up anymore.
  14. Yeah, I agree with bansheeseat$$ just drain the fuel, the only quads I know its not good for is the quads with old sumps because it will drain into the motor. Like my wifes 06 yfz450
  15. I think reeds will help, reed will give you better throttle response, I felt a difference, I got vf3 reeds. The plug should look light brown, when you do a plug chop.

What elevation, temp, how are you mixing your gas, what type of gas, you need to let us know all of this stuff because its all involved in how to jet your bike, how do your plugs look right now, how does it run? What jets do you have in it now!? Just a couple of questions that we need to know to try and help you!
  17. I have a 400 cc stroker kit and I have 34 pj's 158 mains, 55 pilots and ceg 4th clip it runs good and sounds good, but I can't get it to idle, do I need to change my pilot go bigger or smaller. If I just barely crack the throttle it will idle, I have a pretty good idea but just a little help, thanks!!!
  18. Greg, this is chris, I don't think you're burning coolant because your coolant level isn't dropping. I think its because you mixed it 16:1 to break it in and now the silencers are saturated in oil and you just need to ride it a while and dry the packing out!!
  19. I was wondering if you had to revalve for a + 4 swinger, because I was reading a couple of peoples post and they said no, can someone help me
  20. check to see if there is any leaking that you can see visually, look around the base of the cylinders and where the head comes together with the cylinders. Also, make sure you look at your plugs if your rich it can cause bogging and smoking
  21. A stock banshee should be around 35 hp I think you're going to be around 50-55 hp Let me know how close I am
