  1. I hope the video link works. Tedder & his son run a 10.07 1/4 mile on a stock stroke cub with no power adder. http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r143/BL...nt=100_1358.flv
  2. 2.50 X 10 on a 2" wide rim. Why?; wieght savings, less friction and great reaction times. Bryan
  3. NYUK, You hit the nail on the head and there's a proper way to tune it also. You need a clutch activation switch that's adjustable. With proper know how you can solve the problem of being rich on the launch limiter. Bryan
  4. Both Tedder (358cc Cub) and I (443cc Cub) have ran mid to low tens on race gas. There are a couple of bigger cc quads that have went 10.38. Bryan
  5. We run a +8 arm and use a 130 link, but it depends on the sprocket set-up. Bryan

OK, take this for what it's worth. It's my own personal experience with Rich and Pinks All Out. Pinks All out came to our track (The Strip in Las Vegas,NV.) in the fall of 2007. I too felt the same way as most about the Host and even about the show. I'll get straight to the point, I made the show and lost in the 1st round. My opinion did change about Rich & the show. It was one of the best organized races I have attended, but still wasn't convinced about Rich. Until he gave us a little background on why he was doing this. Of course the 1st thing is to make money, but he didn't say that. He truly is trying to help out the sportman & street racers get a good payout & tv publicity. Now, would I travel for the event, no! The odds of you getting pick is slim to none for a 16 car field out of +400 cars. I got lucky to get picked. I think his new Arm Drop program further proves his comittment to the racers. Big money, but no tv. The 1st race is or was in FL. and advertized ATVs to race also. It's also coming to Vegas in the fall and I will try and race the event. Bryan
  7. It used to be a stock cylinder, +7mm on alky and the best ET was 10.91. It ran consitent 11.0s, we still have the cylinders and put them on a couple of months ago. They went 11.09 on race gas.
  8. Our home track is Las Vegas, NV. We are planning on running the Sports Nationals in Fontana, CA. Oct.3-5 2008. We will also be testing 1/8 mile at Irwindale, CA. late June-July. Bryan
  9. Thanks, we run low 1.40s with our 1/4 mile set-up. Plan on working on the 1/8 mile set-up here in late June & July. I'm sure going back to alky would help us a bunch, but I've got spoiled/lazy with the race gas. Bryan
  10. Thanks NYUK! You are right about the streetbikes. When we test the 1/8 mile in CA., they will not even line up with us. 1/4 mile we are starting to hold our own pretty good now. This is our fourth year racing NHRA with the quad. Last weekend was a first (I think) for NHRA and we competed at a Divisional race in Fontana, CA. We are making headway with NHRA and have others that are doing the same with IHRA. Bryan
  11. Yes it is. Here's something I won a couple of weekends ago at a NHRA National Open Event. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r143/BL...innerMedium.jpg
  12. Another Photo http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r143/BLK1700/100_0398.jpg
  13. Here's one. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r143/BLK1700/100_0395.jpg
  14. The goal is 9's 1/4 and 5.9 1/8 on motor this year. We have always ran at higher altitude tracks and we have a pretty heavy quad/rider (550lbs. total). I'm looking to lose 30 lbs. and get me around 180 lbs. Plus, we are looking at going to a sea level track in Aug. if gas prices don't get to much higher. We might have to put it back on alky, that's where our good tune-up is. Bryan
  15. 443cc Cub on race gas and no power adder. The other lane was a motorcycle.
  16. Here's a one time slip from this weekend. Bryan http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r143/BL..._0448Medium.jpg
  17. Come out on the next points race. We have been running an NHRA legal quad in Las Vegas, NV. for 4 years. PM me if you wish, Bryan
  18. Thanks everyone! We have made over 400 1/4 mile passes to get it to where it's at now. The 2nd video I posted was a pretty cool video this guy made up for you tube. The times were not that fast, we were testing different new parts. Plus, we went back to race gas from alky and all our tune-up is on alky. It's way faster now on gas than our best time on alky. Bryan
  19. Last year Vid.
  20. Thanks NYUK, I think you've have laid down some better times than that.
  21. OK here are some details that I can let out. Tedder & I trade a lot of 1/4 mile information and it has worked out good for the both of us. 443 cub on race gas with no additives or power adders. We run anywhere between a 2.05 - 2.17 ratio with 2.86 pri. gears and 20' American Racer tires. We use a multi stage lock-up for the clutch. On these runs we put in a new 1-6 override and it wouldn't shift into 2nd gear. So, we used the ignition kill and that's why we were running slow. Found out the next day that we broke 3 dogs of the gear. We put in our 1-4 manual 5 & 6 and put down a lot better numbers and hit 119 mph. The quad weighs 335lbs. (stock frame) and I weigh 210. Bryan
  22. Should work now.
  23. Here is a video of testing new parts on Apr 18. The test didn't go very well and ended up with broken new parts. We managed to run a 10.70 @ 117 mph, with the problem. I replaced the new parts for the next day and ran substantially faster and hit 119 mph. I'm not giving up the ET! Bryan
  24. 18/39 should be pretty close depending on numerous factors, better have the motor to pull that gear. We have run 10.80 @ 115 mph with that ratio with 2.86 pri's and 20" tall tires. Bryan
  25. Attached photo is the multi-stage lock-up Tedder & I use for 1/4 mile drag racing. The initial cost is around $900 with machine work needed. The secondary cost to learn how to set it up is double the initial cost. It took us about 3 years years to some what master this system and many clutches. Would I do it again, you bet and I'm sure Tedder would agree. Bryan http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r143/BL.../Lock-up001.jpg
