  1. I figured you'd need to do the DC conversion. The air flow sensor is a given, but there is no need for a sensor in the exhaust. The PCIII that many Raptors use doesn't require one (even the new PCV with autotune doesn't "autotune" very well). I don't think the benefit of FI is power - Banshees can make the most power out of any bike out there. Besides, sensors weigh close to nothing. http://www.allterrainriders.com/fuel-injection.html There is a guy out there with a very sick FI Banshee that runs off of E85. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=105138
  2. I now own a Raptor 700, which has EFI. I was thinking that maybe it wouldn't be too hard to use the Raptor throttle body and Power Commander on the Banshee. Has anyone ever looked into this?
  3. Doing it on the front will cause quite a bit of bump steer, which means you'll have a harder time controlling the bike at higher speeds. If you make the rear wider than the front, it will hamper handling as well.
  4. Wow. That's a lot of people. So what dates will you guys be out there?
  5. I'll be out there with Yamahammer from the 22nd to the 25th or 26th. He's going to be out there the weekend before until the weekend after.
  6. Is there going to be a meet up? If so, I may show up. I don't have my Banshee anymore, but I am down to ride with my Raptor.
  7. I am thinking about going out there in a couple of weeks. I might go buy some security wire and some tarps now to lock and secure some of my stuff up. I don't want them putting crap in my gas tank or gas cans, or stealing my stuff. Man people like this make me angry.
  8. No. There are better frames to use and better engines to put in them!
  9. Jeffco is the most popular. But to be honest, reverse isn't really that important. I have a Tom Pro powered by a Hayabusa engine without reverse and it has never been a problem. Just drive and park smart! I just need a good push out of the trailer. Otherwise I jump on one of the rear tires, grab the frame, and walk on the tire to propel the car backwards. Works like a charm!
  10. Awesome man. My dad quit cold turkey too. Still has his last pack from years ago.
  11. Where's BigRed? I think he lives right by KP.
  12. Like I mentioned, I am planning on going out this weekend. I might not go though, due to issues with the people I would be camping with. If I don't go this weekend, I wan to go within the next few weeks.
  13. I bought my Banshee with most of the mods done to it, so I don't really know what a stock Banshee feels like. I just bought a Raptor and it doesn't have enough kick for me stock. Compared to my Banshee, the Raptor is pretty tame. It's fun, no doubt, but fairly tame. I don't know if it is the way the power band is or what. But thanks to the Banshee I had to go out and spend lots of money to mod the Raptor! Race and let us know who wins. Oh, and why is this in the Riding and Events forum?
  14. Aww. Weak. I couldn't find anything on PS. I don't really visit that site so I am not familiar with it. I guess next weekend is going to be slow.
  15. Do you have any more info on the 4SW?
  16. You totally have to visit the dunes! There's no doubt, the Banshee is king of the dunes. But the Raptor does quite well there also.
  17. I am actually selling the Banshee haha. I am sure down the line when I have my career scootin' along I'll get another Banshee though. I have been wanting to try out the Raptor for awhile now, so I'll let it have its run.
  18. You loser. Go start meaningless fights somewhere else. There is no place for people like you here.
  19. For lights, think about going with a DC setup and a 250 watt stator. Throw on four 50w HID's (similar to the placement on my bike below) and you'd be GOLDEN at night. You can never have enough light at the dunes!
  20. Barkers. I also got a 15 tooth front sprocket and a twist throttle. I think I might hold off on the front sprocket so I can really compare the difference in power between stock and the "big three." www.raptorforum.com has been my friend lately.
  21. It's way different. I took it out to Glamis last weekend. It doesn't kick me in the ass like the Banshee did, but I still enjoyed it. I just ordered the "big three" (dual pipes, aluminum intake w/ K&N, and power commander) and that is supposed to push the bike just above 50 hp. That should hold me off for now. I'll tell you what. It uses a hell of a lot less gas though! Oh. And I'll still hang around here. I have met a few cool guys here and I am always down to meet up and ride.
  22. Okay guys. I went out and did it. After tooling around with my bike for awhile, and then discovering that I have to rebuild the entire engine and replace many parts ($$), I have committed blasphemy. I went out and bought an '08 Raptor. This is my confession.
