  1. That is awesome, but I bought my quad with the carbs jetted already so I have no clue what is in them right now.
  2. I did a search and the results sucked. So I now turn to you guys. I usually run at Glamis. But I will be doing a trip to a family vacation spot which is at 7,000 feet elevation. So how do you guys think I should jet my carbs?
  3. I have a Prairie 650 4x4. It does pretty well in the dunes in 4x4. In 2 wheel is does alright, you just have to keep your momentum up and keep from climbing anything steep. So long as you have a 4x4 option, a 500+ cc utility quad should be a great family machine. When I got stuck out at Olds (in Glamis) back in November, my brother in law and his buddy came out to tow me on the 650. It managed to carry two large guys while pulling my Banshee and me up and out of the valley without hesitation.
  4. I ordered two of their universal spark arrestor kits. I heard they sometimes forgot to send out the little stickers that authenticated the kits, so I decided to send an email out just to be sure they didn't forget mine. I received a very unprofessional reply arrogantly stating that the stickers were sent out with every purchase. About a week later the kits were delivered at my door. Not surprisingly, no stickers were included. I sent out another email and I got what I wanted soon enough. My experience isn't nearly as bad as the thread starter
  5. Well, there were several people that didn't make it, but everyone that I met was really nice. I jammed out fairly quickly to chase after someone I recognized, but I managed to sneak a pic when no one was looking... By the way, don't mind the date on the pic... haha...
  6. The guys I am heading out there with are set on camping on Gecko for this trip. I have always camped on the side with the washes, so I don't exactly know how long the ride would be from Gecko to the beach store, or how much gas that would consume. Any hints? By the way, I have a stock gas tank, but I always carry a 2 gallon gas can in my six pack rack.
  7. Things have changed. I'll be there the 17th and 18th! I am stoked. So, beach store at 10:30 on Sat?
  8. For some closure: I finally sacked up and finished working on my bike. I found out what the problem was. For some reason I was slamming on the shifter hard enough for it to snap the shift adjustment screw that screws into the block on the clutch side. So I replaced that and the seal where oil was leaking out of on the stator side. I also fixed a few other things that I found while I was at it. Just a minute ago a ran it up and down the street a few times and everything worked well. I think I may be going out to Glamis next weekend...
  9. Damn. I wish I could go. I have three exams the following week...
  10. While it is definitely possible, I really do not think it is a good idea. The Banshee is an awesome machine, but what really accounts for its fame is its engine. The suspension geometry is less than desirable compared to other quads. If I were you, I'd work with another frame. I have seen members on here do things like put a Banshee engine in a yfz 450 frame and even put a street bike engine in a Raptor frame. Something like that would be much more cool. But if you want to stick with the Banshee frame, I say just build it up like most of the people here do.
  11. Just got it tonight. Six hours.
  12. Looks like the vocalist from Mudvayne, the guitarist from Nothingface, the drummer from Pantera and some others I don't recognize off the bat. Interesting stuff. If you guys like Killswitch, check out Caliban and All that Remains. Simply badass music.
  13. Fantastic man. That's how my Dad did it. He just up and quit and never looked back. Stay strong.
  14. Hey asshole. He's from Canada and it is obvious that Engish isn't his primary language. I don't know what your fucking problem is? He is posting pictures that were requested. Not that it matters because his project is pretty cool, but he already stated why the pipes had to be fabricated and why they look the way they do. Grow up you piece of shit.
  15. Costa Mesa is where it's at.
  16. Do you train at all? I know you are into MMA.
  17. Well, I busted my bike (see thread in Mods and Repairs) so I doubt I'll be making it out. We'll see.
  18. Yeah we really need pics of that!
  19. Orange County here. Just a little further south from you. Costa Mesa, to be specific. I am actually like five minutes away from Wallrat and FireHead. By the way, I just rode at Stoddard Wells (well, technically the exit just past it) and it was badass until my tranny blew (see thread in Repairs and Mods).
  20. Okay, I was riding out in Stoddard Wells today and enjoying every minute of it when all of a sudden shifting became very difficult. I could stomp on the shifter and the transmission wouldn
  21. http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids http://www.youtube.com http://www.putfile.com http://www.photobucket.com There you go.
  22. Yup! We have some excitement coming our way. Cro Cop is going to own everyone. I want to see him vs. Arlovski, then I want to see him fuck up Sylvia. Then after that mayhem, I want to see him drop down and mess up Chuck (assuming Chuck wins this weekend). Then there is Heath. He is solid. He will add some flavor to the heavyweight division. I would bet he could beat Sylvia, but he won't beat Cro Cop (in fact, they have fought already, and Cro Cop stopped him). Additionally, Diego is supposed to be fighting for the welterweight title in March or so. It's time Diego sees what real competition is like. This upcoming year will be nice.
  23. I am heading out with my friend to Glamis Jan. 6-7. My friend doesn't have anything to ride, so I am letting him use my huge Prairie 650 4x4. Let me know if I'll see any of you out there.
