well I had one on mine when I bought it. I tried it but didnt like it (this is only an opinion) I wasnt "affraid" of it I just plain didnt like it. I think the reason why you find them on bikes more is because typicaly you grip the bike with your legs as well. Myself I hold on only with my hands so I want my right hand to stay put and not have to twist.

lol thanks. how I camr across it was because I un-screwed my air/fuel screw all the way out and accidently dropped the spring. all i saw as it was falling was a hole in the case. i then paniced and stopped it before it dropped in then i started thinking......"should it be plugged?" :baseball_bat:

maybe silly but thats fine with me.....On top of the case on the left hand side in front of the clutch indicator there is a hole....should be plugged or just a drain hole?? Id like to think im pretty experienced with my shee but im drawing a blank.

like I said I had it all apart. everything even the shock. This is the second time this has happened to me. I would say that your one of the lucky ones.

lol I thought I was the only one..... Luckly I had mine torn all the way down then I had to take the bolt out. It was weird I could spin it really easy but could not get it to budge! I then blocked the frame up on its side then sprayed some PB BLASTER (penetrating oil) around the threads and spun the bolt then waited 10 min and did that again for about 1 hour. Then took a peice of hard nylon and placed it on the bolt then hit it about 6 times as hard as I could. It came out pretty easy after that.

lol oh ok. he didnt sound to sure of the name..."snorkel thing" and im so used to not even having an airbox that I didnt even think of that. Ooops :baseball_wacko:

snorkel?? you mean the cross-over tube on top of the intakes? You will seriously fry your motor w/out it. I would hope that who ever told you that just forgot to tell you to plug the holes back up. I dont run one but thats because my new intakes dont allow me to.

I just bought some trail-techs 35 watters tonight and I used my stock wiring. But both wires coming out of the light are black (not polorized) so I hooked one up the the black and the other to the yellow. I just cut and taped the green wire up no need for the low beam wire anymore.

lol no biggie! I think that the washer right behind the nut is to big (not the right one, maybe it doesnt even belong there) and its off center of the stud.

ill get ya pics later. I couldnt use my flame grill in my radiator plastic cause the front maier plastic would push it agained the radiator.if you look at oem plastic you will see little slots where the radiator plastic and tank plastic fits inside of. not on the maier its just open so there are no slots to guied the plastic into place for a nice even fit with one another. Like i said Ill snap some pics tomorrow

well put it this way....im a machinist and welder for a living. Im not used to the loose tolerances such as the several that are involved with a banshee. Awsome bikes but poorly built if you ask me. The center nut/stud combo is NOT exactly in the center of the clutch assembley so that was NOT an illusion. But when you get that spinning really fast your eye wants to automaticly focus in the center. It just looked to me that it was the whole thing not just the center adjuster. this was the first time Ive ever seen one up close and running. I guess ive should of known better than to think that everything should be absolutly perfect! Are you kidding for asking me if im kidding you? why would I be kidding you? Is what I said sound completly out of this world? Ive owned my Banshee for about 7 years now and Ive learned alot about it but this one had me stumped. And after looking at other bikes I guess mine is just as true as theirs or should I say theirs is just as UN-true as mine? Anyway hilarious thanks for asking Im glad people like you are out there to help people like me.

Just wanted to add........MAIER FRONT PLASTICS FUCKING SUCK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the shee back together and it looks and fits like shit!

well I went to cascade (only 30min from my house) And told the guys there what I thought my problem was so they fired up a couple of their bikes and after looking a them I realized that between the center adjuster looking a little off and the fingers on the lockout spinning it was all an optical illusion on my part. Thanks for the insight though :biggrin:

ME ME ME! I lost an o-ring on the right side twice with my cool head and a couple of other people I know also fell victim. When mine blew it pressurized my cooling systen also and blew my coolent out the overflo. I took my coolhead to work and let the guy that runs the laser tracker shoot it in and my assumption was right it was not machined flat.

smooth? black peice? hmmm, so do you recomend he leaves the parking brake bullshit on or just take it off and leave it open? LOL dont ever go into cascade you would probably get an upset stomach over all the "attention getters"
