hmmm.... let me think....maybe I should take the clutch apart and put it all back together. maybe something got into a bind when I bolted it together?
-
so you think my crank may be bent? it runs sweet and doesnt shake or viberate or anything weird
-
so what do ya think?? my crank is bent? wouldnt the motor shake or viberate?
-
when I started my new motor for the first time a couple of days ago I just had to take a quick peak down at my new see through clutch cover. I was a little startled to see that the whole clutch system wasnt spinning perfectly true it looked like it had a little wobble in it. The motor didnt feel like it had any shakes or vibes. Has anyone noticed this before on theirs??

MY TURN, MY TURN!!! I PURCHASED MY CPI'S ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO AND FINALLY GOT TO THE POINT OF PUTING THEM ON. I NOTICED THAT THE CHROME SUCKED SO FOR THAT REASON AND FOR A BETTER THERMAL BARRIER I HAD THE PIPES CERAMIC COATED. IT MIGHT NOT BE AS SHINNY AS CHROME BUT I PROMISE THAT THEY WILL LOOK BETTER IN 2 YEARS UNLIKE THE SHITTY CHROME JOB THEY PUT ON THEM NOW. THE WHOLE TIME I WAS TRYING TO SLIDE THE STINGER TUBE OVER THE PIPE I THOUGHT THE SHITTY FIT WAS DUE TO THE CERAMIC COATING (GUESS I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED ON HERE FIRST!) NEXT, I WAS LOOKING AT THE MOUNTS WELDED ON TO THE SILENCERS....NOW I AM A VERY EXPERIENCED CERTIFIED WELDER AND THOSE WELDS LOOKED LIKE SHIT NOT TO MENTION THAT ONE SILENCER MOUNT WAS ONLY TACKED. I HAD TO TAKE IT TO WORK AND TIG WELD IT MYSELF CAUSE I WAS AFRAID I WOULD NEVER SEE IT AGAIN IF I SHIPPED IT BACK. ALL IN ALL I HOPE THEY PERFORM GOOD AND MAKE ME SOME WHAT HAPPY I BOUGHT THEM. HERE IS A PIC OF HOW THEY LOOK AND HOW CLOSE MINE IS TO MY HEAD. HOW CLOSE THEY CAME WITH HOW THEY BOLTED UP.

im running 55 on the pilot and 165 on the mains and the needle on the bottom notch. does this sound close?? -
I got these set of carbs from a guy that bored them out. i.d they are 1.132" which if im correct they are 28.7mm. Now the side of the carbs say PWK but I thought that pwk's have the round plastic screw- on top. mine are not round and are held down with two small screws. Maybe I just have some early carbs?? know on the side of them they have "73 RAB KJ" anybody familiar??

all I said was lectrons are the only ones ive personaly seen on alky. I didnt say those are the only ones that can run on alky.

i I tore my bike all down to build the motor some more and to dress up my frame. The stupid poopdick that had my bike before me (aside from all the other important parts he removed) decided he didnt want to have any of the breather hoses on it so I orderes all new. I already put the hose on the vent right below the rear motor mount (wich was a bitch) to the "t" I also have the other hose going from the clutch side to the "t" but now im left with one open spot on the "t" and and one extra hose that is about 2 1/2 ft. long. Where does that go?? if you look on http://www.powersportsaccessories.com/fich...tion_detail.asp and look at hose #10 it doesnt show where it is supposed to go. Please help. thanks

I pitched mine and now im running the pro design intakes withe spacers and vforce3 reeds
-
I went through the same thing. You can either weld one on or bolt one on.
-
as far as the chrome goes...I also thought it was kinda shitty but before I even put mine on my bike I had them ceramic coated for 175.00. looks killer and is a great thermal barrier.(hotter the exhaust the faster it flows) sorry the pic is kinda blurry
-
which way should it face?? in what direction??
-
F.Y.I.....I DONT HAVE THE PARKING BRAKE
-
the line is off,the bleeder is open and I did compress it all the way. But I got it on now, I just shaved a 1/32" off of each pad. Thanks anyway though

When I got my banshee about 6 years ago I put new pads on it but for some reason they were dragging really bad, after tearing it apart again I realized that it was dried up and toast. So after realizing my disc was also toast I put it back together with the old pads and ran it for several years. Just recently I tore my bike down to pait it and bought another caliper from somebody. It looked barley used. I just put new pads on it and again I cant get the caliper to slide on the disc smoothly and it drags an awful lot. Anybody have this problem?? im getting very frustrated!

nneed help, popping noise from rear of bike
DUB replied to hellride96's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
ok mine has done that also. first you have to make sure that you have all of the sliders, rollers, and guids in place. then make sure all your motor mount bolts are tight and you have good motor mount rubbers (1 in the front left and one in the rear right.) And be sure you have your two braces underneath the motor. Everybody can speculate on what they "THINK" is the problem but I can asure you that it is a combo of a number of things. Aside from what Ive said above You also have to have a good chain and sprockets. I bought a brand new loanstar swingarm and even though it was big bucks I still had to take a grinder and open up the slots so it would tighten down more on the carrier. If not it would loosen up my first time on the gas. Ive had to deal with this "popping" problem alot in the past. But all speculations aside Its mostly shit (sand) in my case getting caught in between the chain and sprocket.
