I would not go over 4° on a new-build, especially when you don't know what the original problem was. also since you don't know what the original problem was , I would check your squish and do a leak down test , when done assembling. Got pics of old Carnage?

Swap carbs & see if it follows... But it's possible one cyl likes more fuel , basically can be treated as 2 separate eng's

Idk this is the last I heard about it...but, if you check it with a meter you'll know & you'll narrow it down to lights or power problem

Iirc, you usually have to do a little bit of triming. ( Might be for stock covers tho... Just don't freak out if it doesn't fit perfectly. FYI also, they sell different ones for a different sprocket size ranges. so before you trim, make sure you got the right one Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

You can look and see what he has for a voltage regulator if it's stock or if it's an aftermarket rectifier/ regulator... You don't have to have the battery like the JL... it's nice but, with the Floated ground and the rectifier, the stator/rectifier just runs your DC circuit separately, ie. your lights Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
