  1. Well I am thinking of having my Banhsee ported, agressive trail/dune. I am wondering how much better the motor would be also going to a long rod (using Blaster pistons)? Is it more horsepower or just more lower torque? Thanks
  2. Make sure it isn;t coming out the shifter seal or the drive shaft (with gear) seal. Both ar eany easy fix/.
  3. Do you set the notches on the clutch steels in a row or do you alternate them around? Thanks
  4. Dave, You know what those Orings were not in my clutch. What would happen without thexe?
  5. New lever/perch, cable, and clutch (frictions/steels/springs). I adjusted it just how you are supposed to, then it that did not work good, I thightened the ball adjuster (in the clutch) a little. Not sure how thatis going to hold up, but I guess its worth a shot.
  6. Do the easy pull levers work OK wiht a Banshee? I am having a problem with mine not wanting to fully disengae teh clutch. I went as far as to give the center clutch adjuster a 1/2 turn and still doens;t seem to want to fully disengage. Now my stock lever never had this problem. My bnasket is grooved a little, but not sure what is considered bad, plus like I say the stock lever never had this problem. Thanks
  7. This is what I was thinking. Most of the time you add weight, but that may be only for single cylinders, not doubles.
  8. Hey hpw much for tghe blue grill?
  9. No they wouldn't. If they are $200, figure cost to an OEM is even half that, that is a ton of money to pass onto the consumer, and to put out front..
  10. I have heard both that the coolant bottle is not a recirculating system, but just for overflow, and not really needed? WHich way is it, can I just remove it, or where is the best spot to put it if I do? I added the 2-1 filter. Thinking about it, none of my last dirtbikes didn;t have a coolant bottle; and it was fine. Thanks
  11. Yeah I bet you got a piece of junk in the seat. Take the carbs apart clean em good and yes reset the height
  12. Is your TORS still hooked up? First thing to try is to unplug that and try it.
  13. PM/offer sent for heads and blue shock covers.
  14. Well like the title says, the machine would run fine with the slides ion backwards, but when I put them in the right way, it ran like crap, if at all. I did some searching and found a few posts with the same probelm, but no-one ever posted a solution. Well it turns out I was missing the choke tube (the rubber tube between the carbs. Added that, runs great now. Figured this might help someone in the future.
  15. It depends on what pipes you have . The pipe manufacturer sets that distance. In all reality, thouhg you only use EGTS as a way of monitering, not seting up an engine. SO what ever the temp is when it is tuned right (piston wash and plug color) just keep that in mind.
  16. Well just like it says. I found my clutch problem, the basket is very grooved up. I am not sure hwta is considered bad, but I am guessing this is. The clutch did not want to disengage, when I took it apart I found the problem. I am in SE MI and wondering what anyboyd has and how much they want. I could meet or pick it up tomorrow night, and pay with cash. Let me know what you got. Thanks
  17. Hey you guys keep that bottle, I am going to take a fifty five gallon drum, mount it horizontally behind me, and run two hoses to it, I WILL HAVE A REAL BOOST BOTTLE!!!!!!!
  18. Hey how much you wanting for that TORS elimination kit (with cable), I will probably buy it (if I don;t fin a bigger set of carbs first). Thanks
  19. Yeah I didn't find this to be much of a problem, just one clamp is thight than the other. I am not surew if it is leaking, but it seems to be sealed there.
  20. Well I got the pipes on, adn tuned it with the Toomey kit. The tors are on it, but unplugged. I foudn the oring in teh cap is damaged, I will get another one, and see from there. My throttle cable is screwed up too, but I can;t see that mattering, it still works. I appreciated the offer. I may take you up on it, if I can;t get this sorted out soon. Right now I am going to replace that oring becasue I know it is bad. I guess I am thinking maybe it is running lean, but when the slides are reversed it makes up for it?
  21. Hey I'll give both T-cats plus a V-max, plus cash! I'm getting it!!!!!!!!!!
  22. I have been thinking about this and if it was an air leak, it seems like it would have blown up by now, as most riding is done WOT. I am really confused as to what this could be. The carbs are spittin clean.
  23. I put it in the middle, but then I redid it and I moved it in. THe screw is in tight in the middle, and I don;t know that it will take all the slop out of the cable. It is a cheap cable, not sure of the brand.
  24. Yeah, cable is brand new as well, so I have a new lever/perch, cable, steel/frictions. I have flex-drive lube in it. The basket is stock I'm sure. I don;t really know how much it has been ridden, a decen tbit I think. WHere are the grooves? WHat about the ball welding issue? Could that be what I have?
