  1. I believe Toomey recommends 10W-40 all the time.
  2. I definatley don;t think it is overheating, it runs fine, just like it should, just hard to get started. I will check the pick up coil. Where is that located? (I guess I could look in thte book). SOrry if thta is a basic question, but like I said this is my first Banshee.
  3. It seems like it has to be something carb related. I was even thinking out of sync, but that doesn;t seem right, becasue it will start on the one cylinder with the choke, before the other one kicks in. So it can run fine on one cylinder.
  4. I guess it could be. Next time I play with it, I will see if I can pin point it. Is there something I can do to check out that roller, is there a spec? Thanks
  5. While riding this weekend (first time really playing with it). I noticed that when you let off the gas and hit it again the tranny makes a noice. It sound like the gear engage synchros (I am nto sure what they are called, the four tabs on the gear that catch the next one. At first I thouhgt it was a chain noise, but it isn;t it is the tranny noice. It works fine, but my other machiens have neevr done this. Could there be an issue? Thanks
  6. Well I took my Banshee out for hte first time this weekend. When I bought it I had to rebuild the carbs, and now it runs real good. The only thing I really notcied was once it heats up, it is hard to start?? Usually it is the other way around. I have to kick it about 5 times. It didn;t seem to matter much opening the throttle either? ANy ideas? I imagine a carb issue, the only thing I could maybee think is a low float, but even that doesn't seem right becasue cold it starts on the first kick? Maybee a stator going out? Thanks
  7. Well I think we are going to change the shaft and the forks. He is wanting to change the drum, but I am not sure if that is necesary. Do the drums go bad?
  8. Well me and my buddy have been messing with his Banshee. It is hard to shift, sometimes it just won't shift. Doesn't matter if the clutch is pulled or not. We had it apart last year and it looked fine, we did not see anythign wrong, but it was the first time through the cases. Took it apart, inspected in and put it back together. He is going to try a new shift drum? Any other ideas? One more thing, when he bought it the guy told him it had some kind of easy/super/star shift something (can;t remember exactly what he said). But it shifted fine then. Thanks for the help
