hey guys thanks for the great advice i dropped the mains down to 340 and i will see how we go im running 32:1 this part u will laugh at though i ripped my head off to check the o rings they all seem ed fine until i had to but it back together and dropped one of the little bastard down the exhuast coolant chamber in the cylinder lol so then i had to take the cylinder of as well to get the bastard out. well will just have to wait till this week end and test it again.

when i installed my modquad intake which is basically identical to the boss intake to jetting changes were needed
-
the guy i raced had the same paddles (roosters) also yes the exhaust was raised(my bad) the plug chop with the 6mm was done properly i will be doing another plug chop with 340s and posting pics but honestly with my jetting correct i should be killing my mate with just t5s and the same paddles? i think so anyways what else could have been the problem for the overheating? it was a very very steep hill very soft sand it was for a standing start that i could only get it into 2nd gear and it was revving it arse off the whole pull and not going very fast so could it have just been a lack of air flow on the radiator also it was about 100F and it was my third attempt at the hill which i didnt make the first 2 times. thanks again

what im running with. dmc alien exhaust - dualstage foam filter adaptor plate now with a k&n power lid on - modquad billet intake manifold with built in cross over tube - boyseen dual stage power reeds stock cages - prodesign cool head 21cc domes - advance timing +4 - bored .25 over with wossner lite teflon coated pistons - ok i also got some porting done i actually know the some of the specs of the porting intake was dropped by 8mm and the intake opened alot , the exhaust port was dropped by 3mm and opened to match pipe opening to create the smoothest flow possible into exhuast, im not to sure about the transfer port but i know they were opened down near the crank but not in the cylinder. hope that info helps ok now im up to 27.5 pilot and 370 mains running at sea level at temps 60-90F all these mods done after recent rebuild i did a plug chop and it was about 6mm of coffee color i thought this would be ok i dont mind being a bit rich but this is to rich im thinking was on the sand yesterday and got beat my a stock banshee running t5s no air box lid and kN filter I WAS NOT HAPPY i know my jetting is to rich i have huge amounts of oil on the ends silencers and new plugs after one ride were black as black can be and wet. yesterday was my first day back on the sand after running it in for 2 full days on the dirt i dont mind giving it a big runn in better to be safe then sorry with it being this rich do you reckon i should drop down to 340s just that i have a set of these and go from there? with correct jetting i should be beating him shouldnt i? also it boiled yesterday on a very steep hill climb, can being Way to rich also cause over heating problems? just was very pissed off to have it boil with a cool head on. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS

ok i have just rebuild and ran in my shee SEA LEVEL AND TEMPS 60 - 90F firstly i will let you know every thing before rebuild BEFORE REBUILD dmc alien exhaust - dualstage foam filter with adaptor plate (lid on) - boyesson dual stage power reeds on stock cages and stock intake with this setup i was running 25pilot and 300 mains NOW AFTER REBUILD AND MORE MODS dmc alien exhaust - dualstage foam filter adaptor plate now with a k&n power lid on - modquad billet intake manifold with built in cross over tube - same reeds boyseen dual stage power reeds stock cages - prodesign cool head 21cc domes - advance timing +4 - bored .25 over with wossner lite teflon coated pistons - ok i also got some porting done i actually know the some of the specs of the porting intake was dropped by 8mm and the intake opened alot , the exhaust port was dropped by 3mm and opened to match pipe opening to create the smoothest flow possible into exhuast, im not to sure about the transfer port but i know they were opened down near the crank but not in the cylinder. hope that info helps ok now im up to 27.5 pilot this im not worried about but i have 370 MAINS . does this sound excessivly large jump from 300s before other mods were added to 370s after rebuild or do my new mods justify the mains increase i know yas are going to say do a plugs chop i have and they look fine im happy with them im just curious on some opinions to see weather the new parts and porting justify the mains increase also i know i have not got any air leaks anywhere if anyone thinks the new modquad intake manifold was pulled apart and loctite gasket eliminator was added to create the best seal everywhere. also the botts from the air to carbs are snug and secure. so air leaks are ruled out well i believe so thanks in advance darren

what are we talking about here outwears for airfilter or shocks? anyways in both cases they will let water in. but if you have outerwears there is no reason to take them of in the wet for the air filter in wet conditions i believe the best thing to have still is the stock air box. how wet are we talking banshee are meant for huge amounts of water just my .02 my doesnt like starting sometime after a huge scrub, so i would ride it though huge amounts of water.

i spent about 12hours on my clutch cover and i think it still could have come up a little better
-
does it really matter that much . if u want to get techical about it baddsheee polishing is a modification is it not. :: does anbody agree with me?
-
i have been doing a lot of polishing lately and i was getting fed up with the amount of sanding required. so i decided to try something different on my throttle cover. instead of sanding i wacked a fine wire brush on my dremel and started brushing it. it took all the paint off and also started to bring out a little shine , then rubbed it with a bit of steel wool . the wire brush on the dremel spins to fast to leave any huge scrathces steel wool is the only manual process i did then i polished it on my bench grinder with a loose leaf buff and white compound as i usually do to finsh jobs. alittle mothers aluminium polish to finish and it came up awesome the whole process took a little over an hour. it saved a lot of time then going through every grit sand paper.

very strange the taper looks like stock but then the spacers are weird
-
how do the good old turf tamers still wiegh up against all the new dirt tyres? do use still rate them
-
hey chris its daz . your banshhe addiction is kicking in. did you put thos paddles on your stock rims? if so what are you going to do for the dirt now? if you get a set of douglas rims you can get them with a big off set to widen the arse up even more then spinning the stock ones. also to widen the front more cheaply can get the valves on the front rims put on the other side and get the old hole pluged or maybe u can spinn them now with those spacers i dont know i have never used them . or what you could do is change the valves onthe front spinn the front rims then but the spacer on the arse to wide the arse further with the rims still spun a couple of options . also did u get the paddles from the usa if so did you have any trouble with customs?

also i will continue using a instant gasket product on my stator hopefully it shouldnt be coming off to often
-
if you want it reliable i suggest a cool head to maintain a good operating temperature and go with 22cc or 21cc domes so you dont raise the compression to much.
-
thats what i was thinkinsg if you keeped the oil that came out of it measure it to see if there is still more that 1.5L if so add that to the oil that was blowing out of it and that equals over full.

MY QUAD INTAKE thanks fire head i need some reassurance the i made a good choice im happy with the look of it it really cleans the bike upwell intake wise anyway. is the link provided the same as your intake with cross over tube?
-
firstly the i already have these 2 items i just have a couple of questions about them. the modquad intake with built in cross overtube does any body have these and if so are you happy with it? it doesnot look that much differnt to the boss intake. i have just installedthis intake i shouldnot have to change jetting for it should i? i just hope this in take is ok because i brought it of ebay thinking it was a boss intake but once it was installed i found out that it was a modquad one. also just installed a mod quad billet stator cover and was worried about sealing it because my stock one used to leak with the rubberseal so i used loctite gasket eliminator to create a seal between the case and cover . what would you guy have done? once again thanks in advance for your input
