carb parts warehouse on ebay
-
wait a couple of days i just got some shipped to australia off ebay and i found that if i lost the bid it was about a week before new one were on there
-
ok so i got 150 155 and 160 main with the carbs i was just wondering what the secquence of the jets were for them becasue i have heard people talking about 158 and 162 as well
-
so do you guys think i should runn with out the powerlid? and also they arrived today i got 150 , 155 and 160 mains im not sure about the pilots so should i just start with 155s?
-
i finally won a set of 30mm oko carbs off ebay and im waiting on postage to australia. i was just wondering what i should starting my jetting at when i get them any opinions would be great. my mods are - cool head 21cc, bored.25 over, dmc aliens pipes, +4 timing , boyesson dual stage reeds (soon to be V3 but that shouldnt change jeting i think), dune port , dual stage foam filter and KN power lid. i thinks that it im at sea level and on the stock carbs im currentlly running 340mains and 27.5 pilot.

so if i take the coil out then remove the rubber pieces off that slip over the plugs, what is underneath should unscrew (what the plugs go into off the lead the D shaped metal pieces then go into what seems to be hard plastic and moulded around the lead) , correct? it just didnt seem like they unscrewed it seemed like a solid unit right back to the coil? so if that doesnt make much sense
-
yes all i did was switch the spark plug lead coming from the coil to the spark plugs right to left, left to right
-
ok so one clylinder is blowing more smoke than the other (also oil coming out of silencer a little though not exsesive ) i swaped the leads and the problem is on the other side now is this a coil issue?
-
i was just wondering if the anywhere else other then ebay i can buy the oko 30mm carbs, they only ever seem to be on ebay for a short period of time and i always miss out. is there some where i can buy where i dont have to bid?
-

Brand New Banshee--Stock give me some ideas
pokeatyou2 replied to lush_Dawg's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
just look at my mods in my sig that should give you some ideas -
that seller has to sales for tag bumpers in his store one for $60 and one for $80 what is the difference between the 2?
-
the pistons are only 2 months old as i said in the first post and i have only had 4 rides on them some i really think re-ringing them is pointless. and the base gaskets are brand new never used i brought them so i could replace the one on there at the moment after i ripp the jugs off. the main reason i was asking for was becasue i didnt know if you guys would recommend a hone after i was finished or just clean them up good and gently and wack them back on

i want to try and polish my cylinder jugs. i rebuild my banshee 2 months ago. i brought some new base gaskets will i be ok to take the jugs off polish them, then once the are polished wash them out (really good) then with the new gaskets just slip the jugs back on?
-
i just got rid of my key altogether just join he to wires that ran to the key together and you still hvae the complete circuit. then i just use the on off switch on the light switch and my kill switch to easy
-
IMO and experiences you can have just as much trouble with a stock banshee as a modded one
-
why does a banshee seem to run fine with the spark plug caps switched around? or does it just seem to runn fine? could you actually swithch them and run it with out a problem without knowing it?

ok i was riding last weekend when heard a weird noise coming from down near the crank ( I SHIT MY SELF LOL) it was real rattly so i shut it down. and scrathed my head for a couple of minutes and had a smoke. then because i was a couple of KMs down the beach i had to ride it back. so i jump back on kicked it over and proceded to ride back going easy on it ,xcept where a couple of dunes came about that i had to climb to get back by this time it was running like and absolute pig and the noise was getting worse. anyway i finally got it back and took it home. i thought about the noise on the way home and the timing plate jumped into my head( for reasons unknown). so when i got it home i ripped the stator cover of and sure enough the bolts that hold the timing plate had come loose and been rubing the flywheel. i could move the timing plate freely by hand easily past +10 and then back to -8 so thats explains the running like a pig. but anyways the problem i now have is that the bottom bolt was the the worst one to have come loose and becasue of the movement from hitting the fly wheel the first 3-4mm of the thread in the case is gone. the left and top threads on the case and bolts are fine. what should i do about the bottom thread in the case is there enough meat in the case to drill and tap? also then i would have to modify the plate to accomodate the larger bolt in the bottom groove section. i have already put i back together thinking that the remaining thread will be enough and put the it back together using loctite (stud lock) instead of just thread locker. i havent riden it again yet and i keep questioning my decision. it is bolted in with about 5-6mm of remaining thread what do you guys think i should do go with it? tap it out? or any other opinions? im just worried if it happens again wihich i dont think it will with stud lock it will really fuck somethin up. THNAKS IN ADVANCE

thanks mate thats what i was looking for i did a compression test yesterday with 21cc domes at sea level and got 160 so im happy
-
i remember whilst searching through some posts once before i came across i chart that had compression averages for different dome sizes and elevation i want it now and cant see to find it again. if anybody knows where it is it would be great
-
i have a set of ohlins front shocks with compression adjust and rebound adjust and i love them

mate you definetly have the wrong sort of quad. jetting is very easy. to be honest i think it is easer then playing with the needle and you said that you want to get it right the first time SO DO THE JOB PROPERLY. if it is lean on the top end change the needle hieght wont change a thing its only effective in the mid range and from your added mods especially removing the air box lid it will be running lean. so change the bloody mains other wise it is going to be A HELL OF A LOT OF WORK REBUILDING YOUR TOP END
