that sucks hell maybe they thought they needed to use it all around the bearings to hold them in
-
I agree on it being a damm good price if I had the money and it was close to be it would be gone lol
-
man I am soo glad I dont have to worry about this stuff in Kansas, we dont even have to regiser them here either and no emission checks on anything we drive.
-
billet billet billet lol, not to mention polish that side cast back out its looking a little hazy. its amazing how a little attention to detail can go along way, not to mention a nice chrome set of pipes

there was some other explanations of what a banshee is on here a while back that were great but I can't remember them all, however if you search you might find them. I would have to also add a worthwhile money pit , they get expensive but when they are runnign right its all worth it

that phone number is to rm stator in canada that sells ricky stator stuff. I have had the exact problem with my flywheel, it took the stator with it as well. I am currently waiting the replacements hopefully they will send some soon.

Since The Sand Riding Season Is Over....
dirtplay1975 replied to jayzx10r's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Its hard to imagine not being able to ride int he summer, makes me feel good to live in the middle of the us lol our dune season is just getting rolling. Anyway if its too hot in the day why not just ride at night that way you dont have to let it sit and you get to have some fun too, afterall with those big lights you shouldnt have a problem seeing things in the dark -
I just want to add something here. Although it is probabally very unlikely, but don't rule out the plugs. It would be hard to believe they could both be bad but it could happen. On my CR125 I put in a new plug after it sat for a while and couldnt get it to start, pulled plug I had spark, so it got kicked some more. Well I eventually gave up for that time and cleaned the carb out a week or so later, still wouldnt start. Well after dragging it with the banshee, checking spark and fuel many times I figured what the hell and put a second new plug in and hmm it ran fine. For some reason the first new plug would fire out of the cylinder but not under compression so I basically spend alot of time and frustration over a really easy thing. So even though they are new dont rule them totally out, it dont hurt to try a second set, who knows maybe you will get lucky and itll run.

ya the vent lines were routed pretty weird, someone just brung them to the outside to clear the boost bottle I guess, but I fixed that last night, with my friend just buying it we had no clue what oil was used so it got changed and belray put in when the clutch cover was taken off for inspection. I am kinda hopefull it will be fixed now, but if its nto I guess I will pull the motor and slpit cases, drop in some crank seals and get it together again so it will make it to little sahara sat with the rest of us. Guess thats what I get for having friends that dont know much about working on stuff :yelrotflmao:

so that must mean that even though I am 31, some days I must be like 98 since I feel like it. Guess I still have sleep habits of a teenager lol, just too many things to work on and not enough hrs of the day haha. I plan on riding and building cool cars till I cant so hopefully that will be a long ways away. I do intend to get alot more seat time on the shee this yr compared to last yr, its time for the hot rods to take a backseat to the banshee, its time to ride

I am at a loss as to why the Banshee a friend just bought is blowing transmission oil out of the vent hose. This thing dumps quite alot of fluid out all over everythign when you ride it. I removed the clutch over tonight and inspected everything inside, crank seal looks good, the vent hoses are not plugged, and nothing is apparent to why it would have been doing so. I also re routed the hose back to where it should have been and of course it has new trans oil now, but it was too late to ride it without pissing off the neighbors so I only hope this fixed it. If anyone has had this problem or have a solution I would appreciate the help.

I was just wondering if anyone has had to rejet or move the needles after installing a prodesign intake. my btm end thru midrange went to crap when I installed it and its kinda slobbery, yet I can out the stock intakes on and it runs good.

it kinda looks close to a GM color called Med Marblehead metallic, I shot a frame for a guy with some of that color I had laying around and it was pretty close. Also could be a gunmetal grey metallic, or a med grey metallic almost too close to tell. I would say to just go look through soem paint chips at a parts store and pick what ya like and goes with what you are doing.

you should check out www.albaaction.com they have a cool tribal graphics kit with seat cover. I just got one for mine and love the way it looks

Here at home I have about any tool you could possibly need to tear down rebuild and or customise not only the banshee but also any car I work on, as well as a good welder, 4post drive on lift(doubles as a atv lift when a car isnt on it), and about anything else I need. in my truck I carry a ton of tie downs, full set of short and deep metric sockets, metric wrenches, pliers, crescents, screwdrivers etc, as well as an extra cdi, stator, clutch& throttle cables for everythign I ride, a binch of plugs, one hell of a assortment of metric bolts, blue loctite, axle nut wrenches, coil, premix oil, small air compressor, flashlight, spare tie rods and ends, and a few odds and ends like oil, engine ice etc. under the seat I have pliers, plug wrench, 2 plugs, and a screwdriver.
