  1. whats the difference in padle height between haulers, extremes, rippers. i meen the height of the actual paddle from the body of the tire. what kind of power do you need to turn some 12 or 14 paddle tires?

  3. 2000 banshee fresh sandblast and painted red a-arms, frame and swinger. replaced all bearings and chain rollers. with fuel tank, plastic, headlights, bars, taillight,controlls(minus throttle cable) brakes all new pads, wiring, shocks, axle is junk but it rolls. looking to trade for a raptor frame, a-arms,subframe, steering, brakes, shocks,plastic, headlights, tank maybe plus cash? seeing whats around pm me
  4. fun bikes but they wont touch any 600 inline4 . more upright sitting. good torq but they are kinda weak on the top end. for a first bike awsome if you can go used itll save you tons
  5. if you still have park brake hooked up try agjusting that out looser to see if that is stopping the caliper piston
  6. ive read about it on planet sand. they have been detuneing it from the original 650+ hp to about 400 something i think and they have gotten billet custom trannys made so it should hold together better. fuck the 2 stroke sound i prefer screeming turbo sound.
  7. crf will smoke a banshee i have both bone stock 04 crf450. 00 banshee with t5 and 2-1 35mm. no comparison. crfs rip 217lbs 46+hp at the wheel stock yz450s only have 4 gears so i dont doubt you can pass em on a banshee. yz426s are turds
  8. pic would deffinately help. needle is about 1/4-3/4 throttle. never had an air stryker apart but youll pull the cap with cable and pull out the slide and needle connected to it. pull spring up and carefully unhook cable from slide. take the slide and unscrew the little cable retainer thingy and tip up side down needle should fall out. hold the needle as it sits in the carb and remove clip and move up to lower the clip causeing leaner. always clean off the carb before dissasembling to prevent shitintrusion
  9. fab 1 spray on oil kicks ass. foam filters are better because they are thick and air moves through passages hitting oil on the way through where k&n is a layer with holes in it. my 02 always ran foam on my dirtbikes and have seen many turbos dusted from k&ns

  11. i have a k&n filter and filter skin for sale. it come with a stock airbox that wasburned through by pipes on both sides but top is perfect. idk what this is worth 25$

  13. ive seen ds with bike motors and tehy fit in there pretty good. but where im at they are pretty uncommon to find.mn. im gonna try and get a yfz450 and if that falls through ill try for either a banshee or raptor roller. has any one actually ridden a ds,banshee,raptor,yfz and can compare them for me? i know raptors sit kind of high but i think that ds do too. and ive seen a banshees with 4cyl motors and they dont look like a natural fit. i dunno i guess ill make whatever i find for a good deal work
  14. either way im going to have to modify the top and bottom of the frame to fit it in. i was thinking like stretching maybe 2-3 inches for the 450. what about a banshee? how do they compare to other quads in the sand? i dont know shit either thats why im asking how other things ride
  15. so i did the mod just as i was supposed to worked sweet no rattle then after like two days of riding it would stick and not come out. like realy fucking stick. it yank on it as hard as i could and kick it at the same time and it would take like 5 minutes or more to come out. i took off the kicker and cut down the spring behind the ball some and it worked good for like half a day and started sticking again. when i had it apart it looked like the hole opposite the ball bearing hole was oblonged and smashed out on one side? wtf should i do?!?! i know just not kill it but my girl was riding it and killed it all the time
  16. im going to be building a duneplay /hillshooter and im wondering what is the best ride for dunes. i ve only ever ridden a banshee so i have nothing to compare it to. IM GOING TO BE USING A MOTORCYCLE ENGINE so dont base your claims on power. im concerned with ride and controll only. ive read old 250r is the best for mx and trails. basically im thinking either a raptor 660 or yfz 450 chassis whats your thoughts?? prolly going to be biased being on bansheehq but everyone here is way more help full than the douches on planetsand.

  20. i checked reeds before the trip there are good. its a SINGLE 35mm. i was thinking electrical too but how it just lost power it wasnt like a miss at all. ill get the jetting taken care of first. and hopefully thatl be it. unfortunately i cant run up any big dunes here in mn becuase there are none. stupid crapy no dunes...mgmmff thanks pete
  21. she rode it for two days then i changed plugs and we went straight to thunder like 15-20mins
  22. 2000 stock motor never been apart. 35mm pwk trinity intake. clamp on uni filter. t5s. stock gearing. 8 padle haulers. so up and down the road everything is good. took it took st anthony for memorial weekend. 4700+ ft here im at around 800ft. so it was rich and i tried getting jets but didnt have keihin. girlfried rode teh shee like two days. i rode it and noticed missing in midrange wont pull at all from 1/2-full throttle. drop down through gears get it singing in first and keep it there it pulls good. removed coil ground and scraped off paint and reattatched,, now good. attempted to run up thunder dune (big and steep but not huge) screaming in 3rd at the bottom only got like 1/2 way up and ran out of power had to turn around. my crf450 will pull 5th to the top so i need to jet it yet. and will check compression. im pissed at it now very dissapointed. what else should i be looking for possable causes of lack of power, and missing? what should my compression be? if i need to redo teh top end which i probably will i might as well get a port job done while its apart? whats next for me? ps im cheap so no sugestions of 10mil sabertooth and sh!t like that i just whant it to run good.
  23. ive always used nonclorinated brake cleaner. aerosol cans like 1.50 at any parts store and its fun to burn too.
  24. first wait till like 2-3 am then go over to the neighbor who is always bitching about you ripping the shee up and down the street and dump out all you fuel in their yard. go home fill the tank part ways up with clean gas swish it around and dump again. do this a couple times and you should be good. or dump it and blow it out with air.
