  1. Thanks for the info guys, the dude at my cycle shop reccoemended Pilot, last time I called they were a little backed up, maybe I'll giv 'em a shout again, you know if they will re-spring it too? Thanks!
  2. Yeah, really, errbody always tryin' to knock the banshee. Congrats Simon! Always one of my favorite bikes on the HQ!
  3. They are on e-bay from time to time, the seller's name is carbpartswarehouse you can shoot him a message and he might be able to hook you up, CPW is the one that makes them, and sells them.
  4. :yelrotflmao: I don't even know why they bother putting throttles on blasters at all. J/K :yelrotflmao:
  5. I love the twist throttle better, I bought the Turbo Twist, where it's 1/4 turn to wide open. I like it a lot better for trails, because I'm not sore at the end of the day, I liked it so much, I put them on both my bikes. With thte thumb throttle, I would always be jambing my thumb, or it would just be friggin' sore. The twist, especially the turbo twist takes some getting used to, it is a little easier to gas it accidentally out of turns, but once I got used to it, I liked it a lot better. Buy one used and give it a shot.
  6. They mount up just fine, you won't be able to use that dust shild thats bolted to the spindle, but it really doesnt do anything anyway. I ran them on my 01 before my teardown, and they worked nice, stopping power was greatly increased, watch out, it makes the bike easier to endo though. Also, make sure you bleed the lines properly too or else you won't notice much of a difference. Good luck!
  7. LSR is a stand up guy! Bought a swinger fom him, shipped quick as hell!
  8. You have porting done on your bike though right? I'm worried that with stock port, the 30s will drown out the engine a lot, and jetting will be a pain.
  9. That's actually not a bad idea, I'll send you a PM in a few.
  10. Send me a pic of those balls when you get them , I wouldn't even know what size to go with, I would think that since they are probably only carrying 5lbs or so a piece that they would form to the inside of the tire fairly well. Sounds like a good idea, flat tires sure do suck, gotta ride back on it, and try to plug it while it's all muddy and shit, really pisses me off, that's not a bad idea.
  11. OK, I finally have my frame set, I just need to gusset it(I have a pretty good idea of what to gusset), and I fucked up the lower muffler mount, I'll probably need to grind it off, and weld a pice of stock steel over it, drill it and tap it. But, I can;t weld for shit, and I don't know anyone that welds. There is a place enar e that fixes trucks and stuff, but the guy really didn;t want to do any of the work, and gave me an insanely high price(I could have bought a whole new bike). I was wondering if anyone would want to help me out, I'm near New Brunswick, NJ, and I will come to you, looking for someone within an hour or so. I'll give you cash, or if you just want a few cases of beer and a pizza, that's fine too. I can send pics of what needs to be done, but it shouldnt be more then a 2-3 hour job. I'd really appreciate it someone could give me a hand, and I promise I am not the type to look over your shoulder constantly either. Thanks!
  12. That's pretty interesting, never seen that before. That is a lot of loot though! Pretty neat concept, never thought I'd say this, but those are some sweet balls! :yelrotflmao:
  13. I know this thread's a year old, but I was never able to find a gusset kit, they make the for the 450s, but not banshees, and I am at a loss for what areas to gusset, and what to use to strenghen them.
  14. Same here, I know the steering hoop, and rear shock mounts are weak point, but I wasn't sure of any others, any pics of fully gusseted frames would help, I only wanna have to do this once. Thanks! :beeer:
  15. If that was the case, I'd probably build a drag bike. :yelrotflmao:
  16. Thanks for the good deal man! What color did you do your banshee frame in? I like it a lot, looks real sharp, I'm getting mine PCed in the next few weeks, but I still don't know what color I want. Bike looks real good!
  17. Yeah, that's what I was worried about, it's mostly a woods bike, so I need all the low end I could get. They are a knockoff of the Keihens, from what I've heard they are pretty decent. I believe most of the parts(jets, needsle, airscrews) are interchangeable with the Keihen ones. There are a few reviews on here and I havent heard of anyone being dissapointed in their quality.
  18. Ok, I'm gettin' ready to buy carbs, and I was gonna try out those 30mm Okos on ebay. For 200 shipped, jetted with a throttle cable, doesnt sound like a bad deal. I know many other members ave had positive things to say too. Only question is, are they any good for a stock engine? I don;t have any porting done, just timing, filter and pipes. Will they be impossible to jet, or should they be a good improvement over stock? Thanks for the info!
  19. I'll take 'em yo. Can you take paypal? Lemme know, I'll send it out today. Thanks man!
  20. What do yall think? 450 sound like a good price for a full rebuild, and revalve with a new double rate eibach spring? The front elkas I ordered are 0 preload, so the rear is going to have have to be a 0 preload too. I figure the shock should perfrom well after it is rebuilt, and will be a lot cheaper then the elka rear. Any thoughts?
  21. FMF Fast Mother Fucker :yelrotflmao: All great choices, a lot of it boils down to prefernce, I would eliminate the T6s though, they ride the same as T5s IMO, but the T5s will be better if you ever get porting. I have never ridden pro circuits, and I don't know anyone that has them. I always wanted to try a set though. Anything is better then stock!
  22. Ahhhh, this man must know what he's talking about, he has a Natural logo for his avatar! Natty is this shit! I prefer the Ice though, gets ya real drunk for real cheap, I've been buyin' that shit since I was in high school. :yelrotflmao:
  23. Yeah, or a bunch of stupid Yuppie dads that can;t be bothered to get their hands dirty in the garge. Shit, head down to the local service station, and you can buy a real car for $500, the kids would have way more fun with that shit, hell, buy 2, and then you could have a demo derby, fuck that pinewood shit. :yelrotflmao:
  24. Thanks, always the first place I check! He had a few frames a while back, and actually threw one of them away, he's had a hard time findin' bikes from what I hear.
  25. :yelrotflmao: I wanna see the look on the parents face when the kid drops it, and it smashes. For real though, a few years ago, my nephew had a pinewood derby, and with my infinite engineering knowledge, I told him I'd build him a car. Long story short, the cars that win are the cars that the kids don;t bend the wheels on, and that happen to go straight down the track. The kids that won had a wooden wedge with a plastic army guy on it. Beat out a shitload of cars that were obviously done by parents. Unfucking beleievable that there are people that dumb out there that would fork over $500+ for that shit.
