  1. dajogejr, I'm decent and I think the guy may be just a decent rider also. But a friend who rode my bike who is a really good rider could stay with the the more hopped up bikes....one was that 4 mil cheetah, for about half track until when my pipes start fading in my opinion. I haven't rode a bike with CPI's and I don't know what there like. Some have told me they are the best all around pipe, Others have told me they have a light switch power band. I don't have enough experience to know who's right. I don't mind sacrificing a little, I just don't want to give up alot of bottom end. I've been into old cars for quite awhile and I understand to make horsepower you have to make sacrifices(ie..street drivability), but I also know that there are usually a somewhat happy medium. Thanks for your help so far guys. I love this site, it's help me alot so far. Geoff
  2. Were are you located? Drop me a pm if you want and I'll call them up for yuh and find out were the closest one is. Sorry took me so long to see this, forgot about it.
  3. I hear yuh, everything he's said has so far been truthful so thats all I have to go off of. The only thing that makes me think it is actually ported is I raced a 4 mil cheetah and can hang with him for the first 30-40yds then he starts pulling away...but not like I'm standing still. Suspension is stock except for a +6. I'm really thinking about some +2+1 a-arms. Shocks I know nothing about so not looking forward to that all that much since everyone has such different opinions. Have you used PT highs? I talked to cascade about them because a few of there bikes are running the mids. No one could comment about the highs they were only familiar with the mids. I don't want to lose all bottom end gaining topend or vise versa. The high revs sound good on paper, possibly the best of both worlds. I personally think the FMF's can be improved upon.
  4. you better hold on off the line. I've got stock bore with 9 paddle extremes and a +6 with damp sand I was ripping the front end up.
  5. Chase, they have some sweet bikes. The pictures don't do them justice. One of the bikes is for sale for $20,000, a guy bought it for that then left town and now it's for sale for the same price. I would be scared to ride one that nice but boy does it give you some ideas. If I go there again soon I'll try and take some closer pics for yuh.
  6. OK, I got rid of my tors and put smaller pilots in and now my bike is running good. Just got back from Winchester Bay yesterday and the only thing my bike was really loosing to was some drag bikes. I just bought this bike about a month ago....it has a fmf fatty pipes, boyesen reeds(stock cages I was told), head shaved .030", 310/27.5-needle middle clip, +4 timing(stock plate drilled). The guy said it has a race port but I haven't had the motor apart to look and see. I was wanting some input on what to do next. I'm going to lighten the flywheel but I'm new to this and not sure what the best thing to do next is. I only dune ride, but drag,hillshoot,trails,etc..a little of everything. I'm thinking If I do have port work done that the pipes are holding me back(heard yes&no on CPI's?). But I don't know if I should get the v-force3's and passion intake or what first. Please help me out, I know I can get more out of it until I take it down next winter. Thanks alot guys Geoff
  7. I've wondered this same question for duning. What about Paul Turner high revs? On paper it seems like they would be the best of both worlds.....In a couple months I'll be in this same situation on what to buy.
  8. I called them to ask about a new seat cover for this coming weekend and they didn't have the one I wanted. They asked when I was planning on going to there shop and I told them today(it was about 12:30 pm)..I was put on hold and then she came back and said how about 3:30 today. Went out there and they put it on in about 20mins. Got a grill while I was there to. I know they aren't necessarily the cheapest but I thought that was pretty good customer service.
  9. MNOP(Marc Nelson Oil Products) carries 110 leaded, you pump it. I Don't know what the highest is they can get...118?
  10. Brock your right, I'm talking about the carb caps. I think most companies have disco'd them. Moose is the only one I've found that carries them so far. Thanks
  11. Don't know if this is in the right forum but.... Anyone know if they still make these. I got my carbs off rejetting them and doing the TORS elim. I called RIS Designs and they are discontinued. The only other ones I saw are moose racings, but they are anodized or just plain. Thanks Geoff
  12. I just put new grips on a 00' shee I got a couple weeks back. I put Oury grips, $8.50 for the pair and there soft and grippy. I'm sure you can get them anywhere, I got mine thru a shop here in town...RS performance.
  13. Cool thanks for the info again. Sounds good. Thanks Geoff
  14. Cool, thanks for the info. Is the stock needle ok to leave in or are the aftermarket ones better. Sorry for all the questions but this is all new like I already said. Thanks
  15. Alright, thanks guys for confirming that. I've messed around with my bro-in-laws Rapturd but I'm learning on the fly about 2-strokes. Wanted to make sure before I got all crossed up. Is there anyway to tell if the needles are stock or not? They have some wierd shape below the slots and it say 5N7. Never had a 2-stroke carb apart until today. Thanks again Geoff
  16. Ok I did a search and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I just bought a shee and it runs pretty darn good. The only thing is is that the other day it fouled a plug and then when I went to the dunes yesterday it fouled a plug again right off the bat(different cylinders). I'm at sea level, k&n pods, FMF fatties, +4 timing, boyeson reeds/stock cages, supposebly a "race port", I have carbs apart right now and the jetting is 310/30, don't know how many turns out and the needle has 5 positions(whats stock?) and it's in the 3rd. I put new plugs in after it fouled and went and rode, the plugs are dry and black/dark brown on the end but all the threads are wet. It runs good but I'm wondering if the pilot is too big and thats the problem. There is no hesitation when I'm tearing along but it does seem to lug a bit if it's not up in the R's there is some hesitation. Thanks Geoff
  17. Geoff

    spark plugs

Not meaning to hijack the thread here, had a quick question. Just bought a shee and was wondering what the recommended gap is for the plugs.
  18. Is it possible to still get teh 2's. I was told when I go to get some to get the 2's over the 3's. I know some people prefer the 2's but I'm new to this game so I'm not sure why.
  19. I'm guessing Andy must be someone at GRR? If thats the case I will do that when the time comes then. Hoping to hear from someone that has the inframes but don't think it's going to happen. thanks for the info
  20. Anyone got anymore info on the inframes?
  21. *just read your post* My ex is 27 and had new friends that were feeding all sorts of crap about how lame I was since I wouldn't go out to clubs and such I'm suspecting. Man I know how you feel, I still think now that I must of been in denial also....It seems so clear once your distanced from it, can't fix the past nor do I want to. Stan I don't know you or anything, but when I read that about what her family said I had flashbacks..No shit. They told me damn near the exact same thing! Her dad said that she "royaly fucked up everything". Step mom thinks she must be bipolar or something and needs counseling. My ex got offended also when I changed all the locks and everything. When you stop being nice like you always were(even though they say your an asshole) they get kinda defensive and don't know how to act. You'll blow your top a few more times, trust me. My words to my ex were that all I was doing was damge control and you made your bed now you gotta sleep in it. Stick to your guns mans, I could of got more but you gotta pick and choose your battles. I paid $2000 in attorney fees and I don't owe her a dime. I probably could've got damn near everything with all the shit she pulled but then you got 10-15,000 in fees, yuh know what I mean. I'm pretty damn sure if you got any real life questions that attorney's can't answer for yuh averyone on her will try to help yuh out. Best of luck Geoff
  22. That sucks man. Maybe gone but never forgotten, hang in there.
  23. Rippen you are right on. My ex is tries to be so manipulative, stuff I would never think of doing to people. Stan, I just got divorced in Dec.....was w/her for 7 years and divorced was divorced 3 months later. My attorney and his partner are very good and one thing they told me was at this point you have to believe everything she tells you is a lie. I have a 3yr old son and I got out with no child support or anything. I got my house and trucks.....I just got all the debt that was in my name....Bitch. They all seem to think there entitled to something. My ex wanted me to "buy" here out of the house whether that was getting a loan to pay here or what, she just wanted money. Never mind the 20,000 equity loan I had to take out to pay off her bills in my name. My point is don't be a pushover and definately talk to an attorney, whether you retain one or not is your call, but talk to one it can be bery enlightening. 5 months ago I thought it ws never going to be over and now I have more fun without her since I get to do the stuff I want to do, not having to meet anyone 1/2 way is kinda nice. Hang in there man, the grass is greener on the other side. Like previously said it could be worse. Once they know they can't boss you around there usually ready to "negotiate". Good luck Geoff
  24. I don't know much, but a buddy has cub cylinders with a +4 and it wills till rip the front end up but is controlable. Another buddy has a shee with a +4 and your normal boltons with t-6's and aboth these bike will trail ride just fine and go down into the trees fine here in the northwest. I just got a shee and it has a +6(not my choice) but it seems alright. I can still trail ride but you have to pay attention or you might bend some rims. It will still pull the front but nothing crazy. I would do a +4 and then you pretty much never need to buy another unless you want to drag. It's good all around and you'll be set for future mods. Just my .02, but like I said I don't know much. Fast500, thanks for the info. I just got a shee and after this summer I'm probably going to take it apart and see exactly what I got. When I do that I might have some port work done and freshen up the top end so I know were I sit. I might have Passion do the work if I go that route and your port job sounds kinda like what I'm looking for. Later Geoff
  25. If I get a pair within the next few months they will for sure be inframes since I just go to the dunes and drag and go down in the trees. I know CPI's are good but everyone speaks highly it seems about there GRR's. Maybe I'll be the guinea pig at get a set of GRR inframes and let you all know how they do. One last question, do the GRR's have some low end power like CPI's or are do they cater more towards the topend like CPI's? I was assuming they had some bottomend power since they say they work well with stock motors. Thanks everyone for your input so far
