  1. Fast 500," i have a passion conventional hot dune port ", is this more than a "normal" dune port but not wuite a dune port? If that makes any sense at all. Also is your motor still stock, as in not a stroker? Sounds like good #'s thats why I'm asking.
  2. Ellison445, thats what made me start this topic. There online store says they work good on stock or modded motors. This summer I'm just going to leave the motor alone until fall/winter. I'll change pipes and stuff like that but nothing internal. I don't mind spending a little money on pipes as long as I get good ones the first time around(cpi, grr, etc..) I don't like buying stuff more than once. Maybe someone on here will get some before I buy some and let me know. Will see. Later Geoff
  3. Just bought the bike last week and the guy said it has a "race port" but I haven't seen the cylinders apart to say for sure. I just wasn't sure if the GRR's are still directed towards dragging or if the inframes were supposed to be a better all around pipe. I don't want anything with a really high powerband or it will probably suck in the trees. The bike currently has FMF fatty's so there is definately room for improvement. thanks so far.
  4. I was wondering if anyone has used these or knows anythign about them. Soon I might be shopping for some new pipes and saw that they say these are good for stock or modded motors but obviously they are going to say that.....there job is to sell. I have read on here that there out of frame drag pipes are pretty good, but I think there inframes are new. I just dune ride and do holeshots in the trees and drag now and then with your occassional trail riding(got to just to get out to the dunes anyways). If the GRR's are more towards dragging I was looking towards CPI's since I know people with those and they all talk good about them. Thanks Geoff

    Paddle Question

Well got the clutch cable fixed so I'm ready to go again. But at the shop they have a set off Ultralite 22-11-8 9pdl extremes on douglas rims for $250. I may jump at this even though it's not optimum but it will save me $$$. Seems like a damn good deal. Bansheeseat$$, thanks for your help. Yeah those damn cheetahs make alot of power so you don't really have to screw with the gearing which would be nice, but I'm not even close to that....yet. Atleast I got to ride for awhile rather than it happening straight off the trailer. Thanks for everyones help, I'll let yuh all know what happens Later Geoff

    Paddle Question

Banshee thats a nice vid, wish you could see more of the hill though. It seems to run pretty well. I judt got back from Florence today after it's maiden voyage. It runs pretty good so I was happy. With stock gearing(14/41) I could hang with my buffies shee thats been bored and has a coolhead & v-force reeds and so on. The 20-10-10 10 paddles work well but when I get in the holeshots with the loose really loose sand and ruts you could here the chain start jumping. So as soon as I get some more flow I'm going to try and sell my set and get 22-11-8 8 pdl and re-gear as needed. The only bad part was I had to come back a few hours early since my clutch cable broke . The funny part is I let my bro-in-law and one of my best friends who both have raptors ride it and now they want shee's to , kinda funny. Thanks for everyone's help......Let the spending begin, lol

    Paddle Question

I'd go with the 22's and just re-gear it if I go that route. Some of the ruts in the holeshots start getting so bad that on the short tire the changing starts jumping. I'll go with the 8 extremes most likely when I get to that point. That way once I do some more motor mods and such I will have the tire for the job then also. Thanks for your guys input so far, everything helps when you pretty much don't know squat. Can't wait to break it in this weekend. Thanks again Later Geoff
  8. Thanks, a friend of a friend already has the drill and tap I just need the screws. I think I found some today though from cascade innovations. Thanks alot though for being willing to lend them to me.....I appreciate it. I'm going riding this sunday so I might tackle it next week sometime. Later Geoff

    Paddle Question

Well, Its a 00'. I was told it has a race port, head shaved .040", wiseco ultra lite pistons, welded crank, 310 mains, Boyesen Reeds(stock cages), twin filters & FMF gold series pipes....Can't think of what else would be useful. I just don't want to be one of the ones that over paddles it. My buddies bike has T6's and coolhead and rejetted. He is running 9 paddle 22 extremes and it doesn't seem to R up instantly and I think that might be associated with being over paddled but what the hell do I know. I'm learning something new about these things everyday. It's just I've never seen a banshee at any of the oregon dunes with a 8 paddle 22 hauler, let alone a 7 paddle. It seems like the norm way down south in Cali though.
  10. OK, I just got a Banshee and I'm going to get new paddles down the road. My buddies here in oregon all run 22-9 or 10 paddle haulers. Now in Cali it seems the guys are running 7 or 8 so whats the deal? A friend told me it's because of the lenght of the hills and type of sand but I was curious. I know most of our hills are shorter but we have really fine loose sand in the spring and summer most of the time. I was leaning toward 8 pdl extremes when the time comes so I can roost my buddies better. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me, thanks
  11. I just bought a Banshee yesterday and the TORS is already unplugged. My buddy gave me the cable and tops to get rid of the TORS but I need the idle screws. If anyone one has any laying around that they wouldn't mind parting with let me know.....or if you know were I can get just the screws that would be useful also. I no longer have to bum a bike from my sister and bro-in-law to go riding, what a great feeling.
  12. Wallrat & Dtm, I'm new here but it's like this with everything. I'm into old cars & trucks. With old trucks, they will run faster with a dual plane intake because it makes more torque(tq is ET) but actually make less HP(HP is mph). So what do people do after they ask for help? Go buy a single plane intake that operates between 3500-7500 rpm. There rig will actually be slower but will make more HP. People always want the "bigger #" even if there actually taking a step in the wrong direction. I promise yuh man, when I get a shee I'm going to get 8 paddles. I rode one with 9 and you could tell it was over paddled. Ran well but didn't "R" up as fast since it was lugging it somewhat. Thanks for all your guys pointers.
  13. Heres a pic....I think, haven't been able to get it to work. If someone wants this pic I'll send it to you and maybe you can post it. I can't seem to get it to work. It says I've exceeded my global limit even though I've went all the way down to 350kb.
  14. Heres a link to a turbo busa running the hill. They say it's 500hp and gets clocked at 106mph. http://www.planetsand.com/memberphotos/406416-Default_16.mpg
  15. 80overshee, your off a little on the power. On a motorcycle site I checked out awhile back they had(have regularly it seems) dyno contests. The guy that won was on a busa, turboed and it made 708hp at the RW. I know thats going extreme but if your building a turboed busa your probably going to try an hit a homerun with it so your #'s are a little low I think.
