  1. You never answered on wether the carb slides are in backwards or not. Does it have spark? Does it have good compression?
  2. The carbs can depend greatly upon the pipes you run. I would figure that out first.
  3. orange positive, black negative. There are wiring diagrams on this site.
  4. Technically that sleeve on the site is aftermarket, so that wouldn't prove much. They are aluminum with cast iron sleeves though.
  5. I have never had a pilot in any 2 into 1 bike over a 50 size. we run a 42 in a 396cc 4 mill with a dune ported motor. A lot of people tend to put way too small needles in, way too big pilot jets, and usually way too big of a main jet. Or way too small of a main jet.
  6. Are the slides in backwards, is the choke balance tube on, are the bowls on the correct carburetor?
  7. USE THE SEARCH!
  8. I wouldn't say its over priced if your looking to buy a bike and fix it up. There is easily a good $25k-$30k of money sitting there, and a good 40 hours of work that was probably done. $16k price tag is pretty cheap when you look at it that way. I would buy it if I was looking to have something like that. Luckily for me, my appetite does not demand something as extravagant. No the shock resevoirs wont hit.
  9. You wont find anyone with pro circuits or dmc's in stock. Cascade is about the only place I can think of Besides RMC in Renton, WA that will have any sort of selection of pipes. RMC will probably have something in stock, but it more than likely be a very small selection, and not be what you want.
  10. Im putting a bike together with the following. Stock carbs with pod filters cpi inframe small bores. PD coolhead with 20cc domes advance timing +4 degrees Lightened flywheel Boyesen pro series reeds on stock cages Elevation 0-700 feet riding, sand dunes, and pavement. I was thinking of starting at about 310 mains. Anyone have a better suggestion for where to start, what needle clip position to use, and pilot jet/ air screw settings? I usually mess with TM's and pwk's, so I am sure there are a few on here that will have a better idea of where this thing needs to be.
  11. Apparently you didn't read it. I used to have a dynoport 2 into 1 pipe. There is a dyno graph in there from testing it, and an entire paragraph on what the pipe was like. The low end power of those pipes is horrible, and the top end power is pretty bad too. It revs fast, and stays on the pipe easily, but I would rather run my pro-circuits than that damn 2 into 1 pipe.
  12. Search Results
  13. I used performance coatings. It was $250 for my pipes and silencers.
  14. They wont look like those if they are the woods pipes. The headers come out and instead of having a gradual bend, the turn at straight angles on the torque pipes. Like these.
  15. We run around 2.5-3 psi in the paddle tires and dont have bead issues on douglas .125 rims.
  16. I run the steel D bars. You can get them from Parker ATV in Coos Bay, Oregon for around $25.00!
  17. Did you use primer on that stuff, or just do it to the bare steel?
  18. I think he is saying the pipe physically limitates the petcock from being turned.
  19. I thought about doing a whole bike in it. I may do my a-arms. I need something black, rugged, and easy to spray on. I had my battery box done in the stuff, it turned out pretty good.
  20. Thats what I am sayin........I got around 60k miles out of my Toyo MT's.
  21. Whats done to your bike? Is it ported? If so, where is your exhaust duration set at?
  22. So a 150 hp drag banshee with nos that has to use a battery, shouldn't have one? What about a battery fired drag ignition? I disagree with this, I like having a battery, it works out rather well for me and everyone I ride with. My lights never get dim, they are very bright all the time, and when we sit on the sand at night I can keep my underbody leds on so no one hits us.
  23. There are tons of things that could be wrong with your bike. Squish, electrical, reeds, etc....... The key is to get the jetting to where it should be close, if nothing changes, then you have to look elsewhere for problems.
  24. The setup I run isn't even noticeable. Being under the front plastic right there is gonna stick out more than mounting it in the back. People ride behind me all the time and have no clue that I run a battery.
  25. There is not going to be much special about it. Jetting and needles for a stock bike with pipes compared to a 4 mill, is relatively close. Maybe two sizes different between main jets, a pilot size, and th difference between an eej and a dek.
