probably jetting. If it stops pulling its probably too rich. If its so lean that it stops pulling, then the plugs should indicate the condition.
-
If tying the dual outputs works, then you dont have to worry about a temporary over draw of voltage if you run the battery. The loads will pull current reserve from the battery until it gets to low to operate them.
-
It probably wont happen around where I am at, and on the dyno's I use. Its just not a popular pipe. We have had a few really good running bikes with 2 into 1 setups, but the pc's beat em out by alot once we compared them.
-
Nope, no one I know is crazy enough to run a set. So we have not dynoed any.
-
You managed not to tell us about probably the most important power making part on the bike, and that is the pipes. Which ones?

Be careful what you call BS on, these lights are made by a very big offroad light manufacturer that also makes hid lights for atv's and UTV's. I was at the warehouse talking with the owner and president of the company who is my friend. Its a german led, 10 watt. uses a pulse width modulated iinternal transformer. What do you mean effecient? It draws .75 amps with no high start up voltage. They make bigger ones that also put out way more lumens than a hid.

can it work? one 39mm keihin carb?

He told you! -

Just found out I can get these from a buddy of mine. I went in and checked them out. Draws .75 amps. 800 lumens of light. (has a 10 watt led in it) come in flood, spot, and euro beam patterns. Pretty in-expensive and super rugged construction. They inter lock on each other and come with a mounting base that can be put in the stock headlight location on a banshee. I saw one today in his office, and it was as bright as the hid's he sells. I am sold on them. I think I am gonna run either 3 or 4 of them. If anyone wants them, pm me. He told me they drove a backhoe over one 3 times and it never broke, and the light in it still works. It also vibration tested ok at 20 g's. Specifications Dimensions 2" x 2" x 2" Diameter 2" Weight .25 lbs Mounting Depth 1" Amperage Draw .75 @ 12 Volts Input Voltage 9 - 60 Volts DC Housing Die-Cast Aluminum Number of LEDs 10 Watt LED Housing Black Lumens 800 Watts 10 Beam Pattern Flood, spot, euro Warranty Lifetime Limited

NO. -
Apparently pro-circuit has at least enough demand for them, that they dont have to cut production on them. Its the most powerful low-mid pipe I have seen.

I used to run attwood engine space blowers from a boat in the compartment vents on the Arizona Jet ski race ski we built. It did make a difference in power. That was foced air though.

to single carb, or not to single carb
Snopczynski replied to Overboost's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If you want the best curve do this: Take the pipe money, and the single carb money, then buy a set of pro circuits. That will make the best low-mid curve over those fmf's and the single carb. Your probably more than likely only using the powerband between 5,500-7,500 rpm. 4000 rpm range is barely off idle. -
ask for side view pics of the pipes.

What is the "best" compression tester
Snopczynski replied to R. Rollins's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
On the matco ones, I have had two that I know were of by 25-35 psi. I ended up getting my money back because every tester he gave me was reading too low. -
to single carb, or not to single carb
Snopczynski replied to Overboost's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If you really want to see a low end gain with a single carb, run a lectron. We have dyno proven them to make more low end power than any other carb. -
Alright, woo hoo! Yeah, I am still not going to buy a set or ever run them on any of my bikes!

The extremes have kevlar paddles, regular haulers dont. I recommend a set of super light extremes.

Basically a reg/rectifier is a diode trio. However I am not 100% sure you can do this with two hot leads off two seperate sets of charge coils. Diode trio setups are usually on 3 phase stators, and stator is wired to one output. I think we need blowits input as well.

My old man ruined a set of front plastics by running into a tree with no front bumper. The bumper is also handy for lifting the bike up when you get stuck or moving it in the trailer.

I have some views that I FEEL are different with these stated power ranges. No manufacturer makes an all around pipe. They may make a pipe that feels like it makes more power everywhere than stock pipes, but nothing all around. This is what I know of these pipes from dyno testing and having them or ridden bikes with them. FMF - Fatty ~ early Mid- early high> (best suited for a stock/semi stock motor) FMF - SST ~ Mid-High > (best suited motor built for high end power) FMF - Gnarly ~ Low-mid > (best suited for a motor built for low end power) Toomey - T6 ~ mid-high> (best suited for a stock/semi stock motor) Toomey - T5 ~ early mid-low high > (best suited for a ported motor) Paul Turner - High Rev ~ Mid/High > (best suited motor built for high end power) Paul Turner - Midrange ~ late low- late midrange > (best suited for a semi stock motor) Pro Circuit - Platinum ~ low- late mid> (best suited for a stock/semi stock motor) The best low/mid pipe I have seen. DynoPort - 2 into 1 ~ Low- late mid > (best suited for a motor built for low end power) The 2 into 1 pipes are about the worst low-mid pipes I have ever ridden with. These pipes actually have a spec redline that is higher than the pro circuits. MotoFast - 2 into 1 ~ Low- Late mid > (best suited for a motor built for low end power) This pipe on the old ported 350 we had it on ripped, but its supposed to be close to the dynoport power wise.

My Rhino does 60mph, my banshee has a top speed of 74mph. The Rhino has long travel, and I can safely jump it farther than the banshee, and safely drive faster over the whoops than the banshee as well. I have to be more careful with the rhino at night. If I drive into somewhere and cant see, I may not make it out without the winch, or I might end up in a pond out on the dunes. Sand dunes in the NW are alot scarier as far as obstacles and sand conditions than most people know. I know of no proven way to rectify two ac circuits to one battery. I have never tried it, and have never heard of anyone else trying it. I only know of about 5 or 6 banshees with batteries and charging systems setup for DC anyway.

to single carb, or not to single carb

Those are the original gold series pipes that started it all. They are a mid to somewhat top end pipe. Peak rpm is around 9,500-10,000 range. Not really a trail pipe, but better than fatty's or T5's.about the 2 into 1 setup. Just that, those pipes are not a really great match, but they are ok. -
