  1. Tusk=Shit, you get what you pay for.
  2. Boyeseen pro series dual stage reeds on a mid-top motor. Carbon tech low or mid tension on a low-mid motor.
  3. I have a cascade clutch kit.
  4. It will do between 40-45, it the same motor as the wave blaster or the super jet if I remember correctly.
  5. the float height is from the carm bowl mating surface to the top of the float just barely resting on the needle. The needle and seat is not where the slide is, its down in the bowl attached to the float.
  6. Whats the float level set at? Does the needle/seat seal up completely when pressed?
  7. Here is what you do. Hold down the reset button on the back for 30 seconds. Then it should work after it reboots.
  8. I would flush it every night, methanol is corrosive to Aluminum. Hence, why I say its not worth it to run it if your not doing a full blown drag bike.
  9. Well, just to clarify. Are you going to use Ethanol or methanol?
  10. I will be at Little Sahara June 8th and 9th.
  11. Lightened flywheel will give you faster acceleration, but take away some holeshot inertia. I do run a lightened flywheel though. I personally would not run a 12 tooth front sprocket. Its too small in my mind and will wear through your chain slider on the front of the swingarm. They also tend to bind the links on the chain as compared to a 13 or a 14. I run the holes in Oregon, and I have 22x11x8 10 paddle hauler extreme super lights. I run 13/46 gearing with them.
  12. Time and money spent preparing the bike vs the return and actual maintenance is not worth it to me. Are you pretty good at jetting bikes, and mechanically inclined? Cause you have to be to run alcohol.
  13. Here is the deal, a mikuni round which goes in increments of 5 is by default larger than the hex sizes. So a 165 round is way bigger than a 165 hex. I wonder if this is why he thinks he needs a 165 or 175 jet?
  14. Wow, your right. Although, I have never seen a banshee run a jet smaller than 210-220. I would have to be at 10,000 elevation to need a 175.
  15. I would stay away from alcohol, but I would run the lectrons. I never heard they were drag carbs. Most people probably think that because guys who drag race usually have a ton of knowledge. It takes quite a bit of knowledge to tune a set of lectrons. I have never seen anyone have to constantly dick with them with temperature changes either. I ride with 3 guys who have them, and I ran them on one of my bikes about 6 years ago.
  16. I have done about 5 transactions with them and never had a problem.
  17. I am not an expert here, well maybe I am. But........The pic he has posted......What's with the round main jet? Is this why you think in your other thread you should have a 165 main? You realize a banshee carb has whole number size jets that go up in increments of 10 right? I.E. 230-240-250-260!
  18. I wonder if he realizes that mikuni does not make a 165 hex main jet for the stock banshee carbs? Sounds like your buddies are either french canadians, or they are fucking with you and making you look dumb. There are canadian members on here that I am sure are wondering what the hell your talking about as well.
  19. Well, I can name some stuff but your not set up right for it. If you want to keep heading in the direction that your motor is built. Some boyeseen dual stage reeds will add some snap to the midrange. A set of better mid-top pipes would probably free up a few hp (cpi's). More than likely alot of your problem is going to be jetting and setup changes like gearing, compression, and timing.
  20. Im back, I had to go put on some hip waders.......The bullshit is getting deep in this thread!
  21. You need to tun whatever setup Cameron tells you to run. Call him and ask him what he recommends for the complaints you have about the power delivery. Off the bat your bike should pound the ass off that stock bike your buddy has. I imagne the jetting and some small things with the setup are not right. Everyone always thinks they know what they are doing. I look at bikes all the time that run "Good" according to the customer. We make a bunch of changes, and now they run "Awesome". So, listening to your builder and not doing stuff because its cool or popular is fairly important. You cant build a idiot hole bike, and a drag racer all in one. Your gonna need to pick a direction and build the bike around that. Off the bat with the setup you mentioned you had, for holes I dont like Pipes, the reeds, and the gearing. You never gave a compression number, but I like around 175-185 for the holes.
  22. Screw the cap on! 1.1 bar is 16 psi.
  23. Isn't that convienient. You must be running 18" tires with 12/48 gearing right?
  24. If you have Ricky stator rewind your stator, they dont do it in China.
  25. Well since I suck, I may as well make your life worse. Care to include which set of carbs, or carb your asking about setting the float level on? Stock? dual pwks? Single pwk? MIkuni round slide? Mikuni Flat slide?
