  1. The vf3's on a ported 350 and a 4 mill 396cc made 2 hp less than a set of carbon tech mid reeds on stock cages. Thats with a set of ptr mids, pro circuits, and with single carb, and twin carbs. The vf3's are for drag motors, not trail, play, and mx motors.
  2. they dont make a 34mm pwk. Did you mean 34mm PJ? I would run a pwk 35mm. Ditch the vforce setup also. Roll with stock cages on low tension carbon tech reeds.
  3. Is this guy one of the other members fucking with us? This is a 2 into 1 intake and pwk carb. 2 into 1 link
  4. You do a big bore kit in combination with a port job and usually a stroker crank. If he was recommending a big bore kit, and you dont know what it is, then you probably should wait till your a little more crafty with a wrench. You have to be a good tuner, rider, and wrench to upkeep a well built banshee motor.
  5. Pro circuits.
  6. You want it ported, not bored out. Ditch the mechanic, he is a tool.
  7. ditch the boost bottle (use the stock one), ditch the reed spacers. Get an adj. timing plate and bump the timing to +4. Get a set of carbon tech mid tension reeds for the stock cages. Go to a 14t front sprocket, and switch out the pipes to something like pro circuits or fatty's. Carbs I would run a 28mm mikuni tm or a pwk 28mm. You could benefit from like a 43 or 44 tooth rear sprocket also. More compression would help a ton.
  8. Do you have Pipes? You need a bigger front sprocket probably. Your tires are super small. Ditch the reed spacers. Ditch the boost bottle and get a timing plate. You didn't give us much info, so I dont quite know what to tell you.
  9. If your xhaust ports are raised from the porting the comp. will be lower. Maybe new plugs? Plug cap? Reeds seating fully? Air leaks? Clip position and needle size effect running ability. I think from memory your needles are close for twins. So just adjust your clip position. Chances are you will never get the bottom end of a smaller bore carb. I also think it is too much carb for the top. Your pipes will only pull aroud 8600-8700 rpm.
  10. If you have oil coming out the silencers, the needles are rich. Mikuni TM 28mm carbs run awesome on my bike. I can recommend Jets, needles, and pilot jet also. I tuned mine on the dyno, and have tuned one other bike that was a ported 350 also. With these carbs, and pro circuits I mad 67hp. I also upgraded reeds to stock cages with mid tension carbon techs and added a dyna cdi. I got 2 more hp from the reeds after ditching the vf3's. Got another 1 hp from going to 18cc domes also (185psi comp). So thats 70 hp at 8,650 rpm with pro circuits and 28mm tm carbs. My bike is a wheelie monster with a +6 swingarm on it. http://www.carbparts.com/mikuni/mikuni_atv.htm http://www.sudco.com/mikuni.html#tm I would probably buy from these guys. http://www.procycle.us/carb/mikuni.htm
  11. On the contrary I love my pro circuit pipes, and The dyno loves them too. They make more torque and hp than ptr mids, and the dynoport 2 into 1. I literally can have fun going from the sand trails to shooting holes, then climbin hills, and even stay very competitive drag racing. My ported 350 stays neck and neck with my cousins 4 mill 396cc, and I lost by 1/2 length in a drag against a trinity 420cc Stage IV 4mill last weekend. I am a tuner though, so everything on my bike gets tweaked, and even sometimes replaced if it doesn't cut it and do its job right.
  12. I run dual 28mm tm mikunis. Twin 35mm on a ported motor is way too big. It will kill your bottom end.
  13. was it resleeved with the exaust ports lowered? Or are you running some weird pistons in it?
  14. the t5 seemed to be a mid-top pipe for dune bikes in my opinion.
  15. I feel like we are all mostly adults. Most of us act like adults. The members should be able to ask themselves what they feel is right or wrong when they do something on here. If they make the wrong choice and someone else has to do something about it, then obviously they will have to pay the price. There is a few small things that have to be thought of, that were maybe overlooked here. I sometimes leave the HQ page up in my office. If my wife, or nephew or someone happens to see an "offensive" avatar or picture then I will hear about it. I dont necessarily want my nephew or nieces seeing a naked gal in my house either. Maybe the situation just needed to be handled with more tact than it was. I say we just go on from here, try to be adults about it in the future and let it go.
  16. its got to be the green/yellow then.
  17. Anyone got one? Whats a good one to get? I need to get one for me and my wife. Diesel for my truck is getting spendy. I know its hard to find a good one because of all those hidden things in the contracts.
  18. Ok I will say it again. The park brake wire on the cdi has to be grounded. If the bike starts, and it wont rev up past 2600 rpm then the parking brake circuit is activated. You have to ground the park brake switch wire.
  19. I thought it was around 25-30 psi.
  20. I have a mac tester, a matco tester, a KD tester, and a craftsman tester. I had the mac tested/certified and it is the only one I have thats within 3 psi of the actual reading.
  21. What are you gonna do with it? Put it on your Powerglider?
  22. I am gonna put on a few more things later today.
