  1. My opinion do a compression test and then go from there. Process of elimination bro, If you have the compression you are supposed to have in both cylinders then you kno to looks elsewhere. carbs etc.....
  2. When running this much compression, Is there anything that i should keep a eye on? The bike is going to be used for alittle bit of everything, But i do ride hard and abuse this thing so anything else i should kno?????? thanks
  3. Im having some work done on my motor right right now, I heard that higher compression gives ya some better bottom end. I now that everything is give and take. So school me on the compression/timing/octane thing I will have the timing at +4, running vp110 compression will be around 185 Will i be able to run alittle more timing, do i have to worry about this thing blowing up with alot of compression and timing??? thanks

  6. You can have you carbs bored out to 27.5, stockers are fine for you right now. Bore them out and bump ur timing to +4 and you will see a big difference. should only be like 80 bucks or so to have the stockers bored out.

    If you need a Co Pilot sign me up. lol Thats a far drive dude, prob take you 4 solid days of driving each way. Where are you going to sleep? are you renting a camper when you get there? It is def less expensive to fly, but a road trip is SICK. 4 guys would be better and easier on the pocket ::
  10. Well im no jetting expert, Im sure some of the pros will chime in. But with you mods, minus the air lid i was at like 290-310 range. I would say you are way lean on your main jet.

    DUDE are you Joking Have you typed in Glamis in youtube?, you will be watching videos for hours. Me and some guys from the HQ went for presidents week and it was the best trip of my life> We where all from NY, I blew my banshee up on the 3rd day, bought a brand new YFZ450 at imperial cycles in Cali and it was still the best trip I have ever been on. I almost didnt get on the plane to come home What are you arrangments, when are you planning to head out there? how are you and you machine getting there? All i can say is DO IT, you will not have 1 regret, I guarantee it

  15. I had a similiar problem and it was my stator. From what I have read/heard the banshee coil and cdi almost never go bad. I would try swapping stator's first Good luck I hate electrical problems

  19. If you already have a shock, and dont mind going for a few $$$,you should consider sending it out to be rebuilt and set up for your weight/bike/riding style. I had mine done and prob one of the best mods that i have done to my shee, sent it works for a heart transplant. I think it was like $350, still half the price of a new shock. The rear of my bike is so comfortable, handles/rides great and squats awesome out of the hole. Just a idea for ya If you are still looking for a shock though, PM NYUK on here, he's a great guy and usually has alot of baNSHEE parts for sale.

  21. Alot of guys on here have fixed them, used those kits that RMATV and cascade sells, all the same shit. Makes the noise go away for some time but always comes back from my understanding. I had mine built by a HQ old timer and still No raddle, has been like 2yrs

I have both aswell, If i where to sell one of them it would be the YFZ Dont get me wrong, the yfz is def a fun bike to ride, good torque/power handles great etc but for me the banshee is where its at. You have to think about which bike is going to suite you better, and then go from there. If you are looking to get into mx and gncc, I think you are in the right direction looking for a YFZ, but if you can swing it and keep both, I say do it, dont sell the banshee.
