I was actually thinkin about getting a set of those, I wasnt sure if they would be to much for my shee as well.. what type of mods do you have done to your shee, if you dont mind me asking..
-
I have similiar mods as you, I just recently advanced my timing, everyone talks about it being the best mod for the price and I couldnt agree more, I felt a big difference, for me I felt alot of gain down low... Great mod for the money and +4 is safe...

How to remove and re-install airbox
wacko2000 replied to locogato11283's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Loco prob is running straight pods.. They are two seperate filters that mount directly to the carbs, eliminating the airbox, they also sell outerwears that cover them.. Usually people who riding in smud and water dont use them... As for the airbox, there are 2 metal pieces on the frame in the front of the airbox, if you cut them off it makes removing the airbox, or just removing the carbs alot easier, you will have some more play.... These are the pods, check them out... I just ordered a set from "theshee" on here, he has good prices... I tried posting a link for you to check out some pods, but it wont work, do a search and you'll see what Im talkin about... -
I run my shee at sea level, My shee is ported and some other stuff, Im currently running my air box with the lid off and Im running a 330 main... My shee rips pretty hard and im still rocking the stock carbs, I am switching to pods though...

Upgrading suspension and axle
wacko2000 replied to bansheeman1988's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I bought the ASR a-arms +2+1 and for the price and warranty I dont think you can go wrong... I bent one already and they replaced no problem... I bought works G-Series front shocks and Im happy with them, they perform very well... I had my rear shock completely rebuild, and I think its the best thing I could have done, its fukin so comfortable now... Also I bought a durablue axle, and Im not happy with it, I would def recommed the g-force, its cheaper and I think its better quality... I also went with a + 2 swingarm -
Kool man.. Have fun..If you are stripping the shee you should replace all the bearing, steering stem, wheel bearing...etc..... I have the ASR on my shee, they are nice arms, I bent one, shipped it back and Im waiting on the new one now...No questions asked, pretty sweet deal... Make sure to take before and after pics for all of us...

wacko2000 replied to F.BEJARANO's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Im also rocking stock carbs with my port and some other stuff and the bike rips.... I have T5's and I think they are great... pipes-reeds-compression bump-timing advance- and a good filter and you will have a totally different machine.. My timing is advanced +4, I run 93 and Its all good. -
Man that bike looks like It needs some TLC... My buddy has a newer one, bought it brand new, rode ity maybe 3 times has been sitting.. It is a very nice bike, real fast, Wheelie Monster, It actually is very very fun to ride... Good luck with you sale buddy..

I purchased the AlloyBoltz kit for my rebuild and I was very happy with it.. When I shipped my motor to Passion Racing I through all the bolts for the whole motor in the box and when Jim stripped my motor and put everything back together he used all the new stuff..Its a nice kit, I think I got the foot peg bolts seperate, ther upper A-arm bolt I got brand new ones bc they are not included, and the swingarm bolt also isnt included... I used loctite on basically everything...After the second or third ride I re torqued all the head bolts, they were still tight, and every couple of rides or so I go around and check all, and so far so good.. No compliants at all, o0o yea and I did have alot of shit left over... but whatever...lol

I have the works g-series on my shee, the are good shocks, not the best, for what I do Im very happy with them...If you are just looking for something better than stock any set ow works will make a world of difference for you..

Man thats is a nice clean bike and you are crazy if you let it go that low. I would buy that if you lived around me.... You are prob better off parting it out....good luck

what is everyone take on cascade bikes?
wacko2000 replied to zach45's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yea I hear Ya, I really enjoyed building my shee, even though It too a year.. Nice to be able to sad Dammm when your done and be pleased with the finished project.. Plus you learn so much when you do it yourselve... Its so funny bc I can change the needle postion on my carbs now in a few minutes, when it used to take me like an hour... -
Yea man.I just keep getting fustrated bc I have tried so many different jetting combos, It like I just settled, but I kno that Its capable of running alot better...I dont have anything spots around me that I can go to, spend the whole day and keep runnning her..The cops around here are crazy..So i figure is the dyno will get her real real close, then when Im out riding and I have to change just the main or needle positon real quick no biggie, ya kno..

wacko2000 replied to Lepew's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Man that looks brand new.. Are you switching to a dual setup or are you going bigger with the single.. I was considering a single, How did you like it? what kind of mods did the shee have that It came off of? -
Yea I understand that the temps and condition wont be the same but as long as it will get it close and then I have to make slight changes Im cool with that..Im just hopin that the dyno would give me a good starting point I guess..
-
