  4. what should I expect if it is the bearings? I had taken the cover off for a minute while in the dunes but didnt see anything... I will take it off now that I have it at home..
  5. sorry .............. the shift claw is engaged correctly...
  6. shift fork is engaged...... bike rolls when the clutch is engaged... I was thinking shift fork also.. how easily and why would it bend? Maybe overheated?
  7. Motor runs. Lost the oil plug. Noticed it when I stopped. When I started the bike again, it was in 3rd maybe, let out the clutch and it died. I thought it was because it was in 3rd but cannot get it into neutral. Oil was still dripping out when I stopped so I think I must have just happened. Any help appreciated.
  8. Does anyone know where to purchase a permit off site so it is only $25 instead of $40? I live in santa Monica and will be in glamis next week. Thanks!
  9. anyone help with this? Does anyone know what the change in psi will be?
  10. I have 130 in both sides with 21cc domes in it now. I am at about 200 feet above sea level. I wanted to know what size dome i could go down to? 20s, or even 19s ? If I go to glamis, wont the 130 be more like 125? I do not want to run race fuel.. thanks all!
  11. we are going to camp on gecko road.. probably by pad 2 or 2.5....... you gonna be there for the week? Let me know how many you will have cause Im gonna get some ribs from my restaurant.. Ill get a bunch and we can have a cookout! Im bringing a grill....
  12. I am bringing my cousin out there for a three day stay.. anyone going to be out there?
  13. I would do what Joe said.. Switch the plugs and wires at the same time.. Next I would check the carbs to see if they are syncd.. Check the wires coming off to see if the left one is hung up on something.. those would be the two I'd bet on!
  14. yeah Id check the carbs... they look at the reeds... easy to do.. just take off the aif filter, lift the slide and shine a light in there..
  15. bansheefreak... yeah I didnt like your test!! lol
  16. wow.. very sad... here is a guy who is new.. and right about now he is probablt thinking WTF just happened... just like some of the other guys that post "silly" questions without using the search key. OK.. I get it!! use the search key... The point is, we are all here for information and were all new at one point... I remember when I posted a question that I should have searched for.. got reamed for it!! You know what!! DONT RESPOND!! I like to respond to fellow banshee owners in need.. even on a subject that has been posted or answered before.. Makes me feel good to help someone out in their own situation.. especially if I struggled to search through all the bullshit that comes up when I do a search.. (maybe we could delete the crap posts and keep the relevant ones for the searching? too much shit to sift through, not enough solid yes or no answers) OR..... just post all of the answers ever given in all the topics, categorize them like a in depth manual, don't make it a forum anymore.. no more input... shit everything imaginable has been done to a banshee and talked about on here... never knew there were so many damn skirts on here!! Is everyone cycling at the same time!?
  17. i can get one and am curious to know if it would fit our bikes..??
  18. ha ha.. I find that it takes a second to adjust to the low light under the quad at night.... just for safety ya know..
  19. I just had this happen.. I didn't attach my harness properly back to the frame and it melted to my pipes causing a short. No spark.. I took out a plug and had a friend kick it over to check.. Thought I fried my stator... just a thought!
  20. Would yfz450 elkas shocks fit a banshee?
  21. did you get your crank welded and trued?
  22. yeah me too!!! LEDs are bright but use alot less power.. Id love to hook a set up under my front bumper for night riding in the dunes... hate not being able to see the ground when Im topping a razor back..
  23. well like joe said... we checked the carbs and if there was an air leak we would have heard it from that area.. where he heard it was from the left side of the engine, (correct me if I am wrong joe) Would have to say that it was a defective berring that heated up and caused the seal to deform. jaming on it the way we were that day, would have definately heated it up.. honestly..... I wonder if the guy that rebuilt your engine used new seals and berrings
  24. on at the same time right? I have mine hooked up to my stock switch. they only work on the high setting.. when i hook up the secind set im gonna put on a second switch... i found one from radio shack. round blck switch with a blue litup backing w/ leds... as far as hooking up them so they work seprately with the stock switch, i dont see why you cant get that to work, but why not just have full power all the time.. i am going to use the ones on my handle bars with spot beams and the ones going into the stock location will be my floods.. but they will be on together to get a good spread.. i just dont want to mess with the stock switch any more than i have to..
  25. they are really good.. depending on your stator.. I have the 250w moose stator.. I hooked up the trail tech lights w/50w bulbs and I was out at Glamis.. Lots of light drownds out in the dunes... I like to ride fast, even at night and they were great for me! if your riding trails, they will be great... I have some buddies with the 35w lights and those are good as well. Just wish I would have bought the handle bar clamps that the computer installs into.. I just velcrowed it to the top!!
