Timing dont need to be tuned on a dyno with a wide band.. Just have to watch the plugs. They dont need to be purged with race fuel.. I use 89 pump gas. It doesn't break down and separate, it attracts moisture.
as to answer the question by the OP. The pingle will work with over sized bowls. A fuel pump wont be needed. Timing will depend on the setup.. Just keep an eye on the plugs and watch the heat markings. Typically.. Timing should end up between 8-13 but there is a lot of variables. Start with Rich jetting and work your way down..
