  1. I use 6" with the angle.
  2. a lot of variables. Rate of acceleration would be the biggest. if you left the line at 45mph .3 seconds would get you about 20ft in front before he left. but.. leaving at 45 mph is not even possible.. the rate of acceleration for that .3 would have to be known and a long ass formula that i can't even comprehend would be needed. you could take the 60' time and dissect it to get close. with a 1.5 60' would yeild a avg speed of 27.mph at 27mph you would travel 11ft in .3. but even then.. common physics tells us we're not leaving the line at 27mph. you leaving at 0 and accelerating. so we really need to no know the rate of acceleration to get a more precise number. Kind of a fun topic though..
  3. lol yah.. people who race me usually get a bike or 2 lead also...
  4. if a guy got the jump on the tree by .3.. that equals about a 2ft head start. If you got 2 good racers.. that wont happen. .03 difference would be more typical scenario with a .03 jump.. assuming he left the line at 10mph.. that would equal about a .5 foot head start or less. Unless rate of acceleration is known.. its impossible to get a exact distance.. The end trap speed is the most important variable if your looking for a quick estimate in distance difference.. I think i edited this like 20 times.. lol
  5. it would depend on trap speeds of the bikes. at 85mph it would be .0024 miles traveld in .1 which is about 12.5ft.. if both bikes trapped at the same speed. That being said.. itd be safe to say that you could give or take a foot and that would give you a +/- 10mph
  6. I prefer the billets over the UPP. With the clamp on filters attached to the carbs.. they liked to bounce. This was even worse with longer filters.. i didn't like that.. I liked the more solid mount with billet intakes and the sturdy mikuni boots. I've used UPP, BOSS, WK, Pro-Design and Chariots. Chariots are my choice. . I've never had a problem with fuel flow.
  7. I agree with spurdy and loco. clogged/lean pilots or air screws.
  8. x4 Brandon @ wildcard. Hands down.
  9. CPI would get my vote here also.
  10. yes. complete setup.. though I can't seem to find one of the cable holders..
  11. Got a set stock carbs that have the tors removed. Idle screws installed. Comes with caps and throttle cable. Just dont have them handy for a pic. $60 shipped. I'll even throw in a few feet of new Tygon fuel hose.
  12. I got a top end at Wildcard.. Stock porting, I think its 64.75 or 65mm bore.. $275 shipped Wildcard is going over them and making sure they're 100% ready to run.
  13. pssshh... you aint ready for a rebuild till your in the 80's.. your good to go!
  14. I started a project on my 5th wheel and had to pull these from the garage. There're in great shape. They measure 23"H x 18"D x 77"W Might be able to work out some type of delivery depending. Figured one of the MI guys might want them for their cargo trailer. $75
  15. I have a spread sheet gear calculator.. somewhere on my computer.. lol
  16. Bought this about 5yrs ago for my stereo install.. ended up selling the car.. no need for it it.. Its brand new in original package. 15.00 shippped.
  17. I also had a +12 swingarm.. so setups were probably pretty similar.
  18. I had a stout 421 back in the day.. I ran 13 ext on 8x8's. Gearing was 15/42 or 14/40.. I'd jump between the 2 depending on the track. I was about 220ish also.
  19. bueller..... bueller..... bueller........
  20. If you do everything and get shit on.. then get a different job.
