  1. Since the cylinders were set up to run on a stock stroke crank, I would call Dan @ A&S and see what he thinks about running a 4mil with them cylinders and how to set it up if its possible.
  2. Yeah I'm still planning on the 13-15th of July. I got a few people that are planning on goin, still workin on some more people yet though. I usually head out to silver lake couple times a month. I was going out there to see the big race and I was just wondering who else was going.

  4. What about zippers or 4-snows? I'm not sure how durable they are though.
  5. I'd get some Vforce reeds, Bore the carbs and Make a strut for the rear. Then you can take the strut out when you go trail riding. This would keep your bike 100% trail worthy and net you a few extra HP.
  6. Oh I'm going to the races too. I'll actually be pullin into Silver lake on thursday about noon. So I was hoping to get some riding in before the races. Is test and Tune on Thursday? I was thinking about making some passes to get some time slips on the new build. I've never had problems gettin into the dunes with Trinity pipes. My 450 is a loud SOB too.. Havn't been turned away yet. As long as you got spark arrestors. Since they started sound checking I've only been checked twice. Once with my PT's and he measured 96db. and Once with my 450, but that was because we were leaving and I wanted to know how loud it was. (105db) might be time for a repacke lol

  8. I agree.. From the looks of your set-up your not just drag racing. Compression and timing would compliment your current mods.

  11. Fire works in the dunes are on monday arnt' they? I'll be at the state campground on the 3rd.
  12. They dont really come to life until you open up the exhuast. When I first got mine I was very disapointed. As soon as a aftermarket exhaust was available I threw it on and it was night and day difference. Whole new machine after that.
  13. Hey dan. I got a set of skat-traks if your interested? would probably be a pretty good tire for your t-rex/dunner.
  14. What about some Paul Turner Hi-Revs? they have a good bottom and killer top-end power for not being a drag pipe. I used them on my duner motor and really liked them.
  15. Piston cylinder gap will vary depending on type of pistons used. Too much gap and you'll be breaking skirts.. to tight of a gap and you'll be getting cold seizing.

  17. I have a set of 21x12x8 10 paddle extreme tires. They have pretty low hours on them. I made 3 passes on the strip with them and then I loaned them to my buddy for a weekend and that was it. Just enough to wear the strings off the ends of the blades. Tires are pretty much new. Tires only $160 +shipping, I have to keep the rims for my new tires.
  18. I use honda trans oil 80/85 with my overide. I would use the gear saver but I'm a cheap ass and the Honda oil is half the price. Maxima MTL is also good stuff. Several people run the ATF type F like bigboybanshee said. Pretty much what ever transmission oil you prefer, nothin special.
  19. as long as you have sparkies or a hush kit you shouldn't have a problem. I never had a problem with my T-5's

  21. How new is the crank? has it been trued and welded? What type of bearing are you using? Post some pics.
  22. It didn't seem the guys trying to play it safe jumping into the foam pit faired to well. The guy that hit the bobcat was a bit messed up. OUCH!!

  25. Wouldn't running the bowls dry cause deto? If he's not running a pump or oversize bowls I dont think it would take a very long pass to run the bowls dry. Also, I dont think you can use standard size mains jets. I think they have to be drilled out to size. I know my mains and tubes were drilled but I'm not sure about the smaller carbs. If your running standard size main jets maybe that lean main jet could be causing deto.? I'm by no means a expert on alky, I'm learning about it myself. Someone can chime in if I'm wrong.
