i'll get one for my next set of cases.. i'm looking for a reason to retire this set.. lol I've been looking at these for a long time.. $50.00 for a part that dont work.. or.. spend the money on a piece that actually does its job.. kind of a no brainer.

I dont even like wiseco. I realize wiseco had nothing to do with this piston other then make it. I understand 1mm is huge, which is why I'd like to mock one up with a degree wheel. I'm curious how these will work with my ported 350 if I switch to a 4mil. Who is the distributor for these? anyone know? or is Minkia the source?

My point of the window mod.. is that it give similar performance gains as these. Builders have been doing it for years and only gaining a HP or so. Most dont do it now as its not worth the cost. thats all my point was. My opinion on the VF4 claims is another topic. Perhaps we can discuss that over drinks in LS and you would better understand my point of view. Again.. Only thing I'm nay saying is that I dont see these pistons making a 7hp gain with no supporting mods. Its the same as saying by boring your cylinders out to 66mm you'll pick up 7hp. Now, if I'm thinking about this correctly. these pistons would allow for ported stock stroke motors to jump up to a 4mil long rod with minor changes. Since the port timings are all staying the same?

I agree with all of that.. I'd like to see what the port timings are. I think they'll still be off a bit but I wont know until I get a set and put a wheel on.. But that will never happen since I dont have any motors that would use these. The only thing I'm nay saying is the gain of 7hp by using these pistons. Here is why.. lets just assume for arguments sake that all port timings line up perfectly. Your not going to see 7hp gain by simply adding 23cc of displacement and moving the intake windows a bit. I'll stay with my estimate of 2-3hp. IMO.. this is similar to the 10hp gain over shearer pipes. I think they will have a place.. but at 250.00 a set I'd need proof of the gains to justify them. Jmo of course. To ea. their own. Who is the distributor for these pistons? serious question. wouldn't a window mod give you a similar piston? other then the 1mm pin location that would have to be accounted for?

problems with the stocker is the cushions wear out and there is no way to replace them.. at least not for the avg. guy. That is what leads to the grooving.

I could see using uplon in a 4 stroke with alcohol... but using it in a 2 stroke dont make much sense. that why we mix oil in. I'm not knocking your choice of parts. What I'm saying is. You can use the best of the best parts and you will still have failures. Ask anyone who has had one for a decent amount of time what kind of failures they've had and how much "actual run time" the motor had. The ones I see fail are drag bikes.. and they only run on the throttle for 4 seconds at a time. Let alone hours in a day. I understand the need/want of more power for play/trails.. but when you start pushing the envelope that much.. at that point there is better options for the kind of money being spent.

120hp through parts mostly intended for 30hp is a failure waiting to happen. its not if.. its when.. and being a "play" bike its more sooner then later.
