I had my banshees stolen,they were insured,so it covered me.If he has insurance than he wont lose much.If he didn't have it insured,then the fact that he has a 600,000 house and won't carry insurance that costs approx $150 annually deserves a.. Its the way of our world,it sucks,thats why you need to protect your assets.If your covered,you will always sleep good at night.

  5. I believe they can and will improve performance,but you will probably only see gains at part throttle.One of those parts that smooths out the power transition from part to full throttle.Just like the power now inserts.

  7. I have a brand new stator with adjustable timing plate for 95-up banshee new in box.No longer have a banshee and came across it going through my closet. Looking for 2 rear tires(20/11/9)Preferably Holeshot or Razors.Must have better than 80% tread and no holes.   9. Looks good,but I think the before pics were better.Remember it don't matter what anyone else thinks,you need to make it "yours". I made it as old school as I could.The only ones that hated it were the chumps I use to whup on. :laugh:

The heims are junk,but so are all of them.Even that Uni ball design is a POS.Unless your running super moto or strickly MX,I would stay away form heims.Even dirt will destroy chromoly heims over time.The uniball looks like dirt and sand will be able to sit right in the pocket.I guarantee without a dustboot,the uniball wouldn't last as long as a conventional heim. If your going to spend big money on A-arms,stay away from heims I would venture to say 90% of factory a-arms are steel.

I MX that quad for 2 years and trail rode for 3.Wayne national forest every month and I was at Hatfield 5 times.My buddys banshee had LSR and bent the chit out of them by the end of his first mx season.Just goes to show you,if you don't know how to ride,you can destroy anything. I'd say those A-Arms paid for themselves.The weakest point on those are the heims.The a-arms themselves are actually fairly stout.All you need is some ball joints and those a-arms will last forever.   12. Kodie,those A-Arms are 5 years old,Im surprised they lasted you that long.The threads are fairly common,you should be able to get a ball joint version from someone else that will fit those a-arms.Less maintenance.
  13. With sst go for about 140-150, you can squeek by with 94 .I loved my mx ported shee with fatties and 18cc domes.It was a handful in the woods.

I have to agree with the other on the dg products,The baja products have stood the test of time on all three of my banshees.I am still running a swingarm plate from 01 and its been on 3 machines.The Baja series is more expensive,but there rock solid. I destroyed 2 pro armor and one ricochet plate.
  15. I.D micrometer is the only way.Don't go more than .003 on cast pistons or .004 on forged.If your motor builder sets it up with any more than that ,he is a motor butcher,not a motor builder. I've rebuilt over 20 banshee motors and never had one clanking on me.All it takes is one time for some dirt to pass and your top-end will be torched.

Try a 52 pilot and 152-155 main to start.Running a dual stage foam filter and powerlid is pretty restrictive no matter how your ported.I ran K&N and powerlid with no outerwear. and I was at 150 main and 50 pilot,needle in the 2nd clip from top with PC pipes.Burned a perfect plug when you poured it to it.darkened up a bit on trails,but pulled good.The v-force will make your midrange a little fat.Needle adj will take care of that

  19. I run these carbs too.With K&N and powerlid.I found the needle to be a bit rich on these carbs.Im at 2nd clip from the top.50 pilot 150 main and there isnt a bad spot in the throttle anywhere.The plug looks text book.With open airbox a 52 pilot ,needle in 3rd clip and 155 main was dead on.
  20. Sounds like you don't have enough motor for those pipes.Mine was the same way.i had T-5s and it made less power than my fatties too .I was on stock stroke .040 overbore and ported.Your porting probably has alot to do with it.

Check the bearing behind the clutch basket(clutch shaft).These bearing have alot of load on them.You can tell when they are going bad by the growling sound comoing from the clutch cover when the clutch is engaged.If the sound goes away when you pull the clutch lever in ,the bearing is shot.It took me a year of troubleshooting before I figured it out on mine. Also the oil drainback is very slow on banshee engines.Probably due to the long drain bolt blocking the oil flow.make sure when you change your oil that your putting the right amount in.It might look like its full but its probably not.
  24. I have confirmed it with a mechanic at local stealership.Yamaha will no longer produce the formula thats currently on the market.It will not be the same.Those were his exact words. Do your self a favor and buy a few tubes.I bought 4,It is still plentiful on the shelves but it will be history once the supply is depleted. One of the chemicals used to produce it no longer meets some bullshit regulation Another sad day in the 2 stroke kingdom.
