  2. wow 240's??? I would have to say bump it to atleast a 300 and i would probly go to a 27.5 pilot and needle in 4th clip. have you checked your plugs? are you sure your runnin 240's?

  7. I live in jackson, about 70 miles east of memphis and 120 miles west of nashville. Thanks for that site, looks like a cool place. "bigboybanshee" were do you drag at? memphis motorosports park? I was gonan get into dragracing my banshee but out dragstrip doesnt have much for ATv's... Memphis is only about an hour thouh.
  8. Im just wondering if there is anywere in the west TN area to MX other than Loretta Lyns?? I havent seen anyone even on here from Tennesse but I figured its worth a shot... Also, what class would a shee be in?? All I see racing now are 450's!!
  9. I just installed mine and that air box is a peice of crap. Get rid of it, it makes EVERYTHING much easier and cleaner.

  11. yep i work at a tire shop so it was no prob for me, but you do have to redrill a hole on the oposite side and put the valvestem in the oposite direction on the orginal side (so it is sticking inside the tire) so it will plug the hole.
  12. I see now! looks like a very effective way to add more holding pressure without having stiffer springs/exspensive clutches.... O yall already knew that........
  13. Well thats what i was guessing, but a clutch is still a clutch. All clutches are made to LOCK UP. So it I wouldnt call it a lockup clutch is just a hi performance clutch! Sorry I had to be a smert AZZ!
  14. Im having tha same problem, I have been seeing alot of threads on this lately but noone seems to know what the fix is? Everyone seems to have the same syptoms though.

  16. what us the advantage of doing this over just unhooking the TORS? Other that looks better and easier to get the carbs out.

  18. well after fooling with the air box and noticeing how much of a PITA it is I just went ahead and ordered some clamp on filters off Ebay, there not K&N but ate some knockoffs of them, work great.... and VERY easy to get the carbs out now.. But anyways yes i am stock other than the pipes and clamp on filters. I went back to the stock sproket now that I am mostly trail riding. These pipes added so much topend that a 18T sproket would be USELESS!!!
  19. the jets are on the bottom of the carb obove the bowl, if you had a single carb you MIGHT could get away with jetting while still on the atv..... But you will not be able to move the clip on the needle's without removing the carb tops. Id say 4th clip on the needles, 27.5 pilots and 300 or 310 mains. Do you have the clampon filters?
  20. well it is Idleing fine now that I unhooked the TORS, but it is still sticking, Ill have to check everything again......everytime I get off work its dark.... Now I am noticing that the right side is running a little richer!!!! There are no air leaks and all adjustments are the same!
  21. yea I just dont know what porting to get, Im thinkin about the vitos superstock pistons, adjustable timing plate , mod the stock cage's and just do a clean up on the intake and exahust ports. Thats some stuff I can do without having to send my jugs off...
  22. YIKES!!! It would look ok with the headlights removed, but it still wouldnt look like a raptor!
  23. as for the Evinrude E-tec engine, i have on on my boat, It get better fuel economy than my budys setup witch is pretty much the same boat but he has a 200HP 4stroke, EFI motor. The Etec I have is a 225 H.O., they are Direct injection, 2 stroke eninges. I cannot belive how clean this thing runs, no smoke no oil draining out the exaust, and LOTS of power. If you made a banshee Direct injection that would be bad ASS!!
  24. I took the throttle cover off (the plate ontop of the thumb peice) and I unscreewed the bolt holding the switch down and moved the switch away from the throttle. It will now Idle but still sticks high sometimes, I guess it could be those springs? If I give it a good tap of the throttle it will go right back down to normal Idle though so something is sticking..... Anyways I love the pipes! The only downside is they dont seem to fit very well, but I can live with that cuze I dont plan on removing them alot or nothin... They are a little sluggish down low but the topend MORE than makes up for it. I can pull 2nd gear were I used to have to be in 3rd. It deffinatly revs higher...
