if not what els works good for cheep 490729[/snapback] I think electric fence works good for cheep
-
I did mine a short time ago, I bought all my parts from Jeff,as many people have said on here he is a great guy to work with. He included every thing I needed and his prices were great. If your gonna spend the money why not go with the biggest bore you can.

Yes, a long socket just absorbs the blows from the gun. I have seen some really good electric impacts, with its limitation and your long socket your just not quite there.. Try the smack thing and a shorter socket.
-
There are several reasons your impact isnt taking it off. First harbor import impacts are rated at peak impulse torque. Make sure you have enough air to run the impact, it needs volume not just pressure. Smack the end with a hammer then make sure you have a real heavy socket. The thin ones absorb much of the impact the wrench provides. Hit the gun in the other direction for several blows then reverse it. If it dosent smack it again it will then come right off.

I dont think power is your problem, you need to start doing some maintainence. If you where taking care of your bike like a good owner should, you would have caught that along time ago. Look it over after you ride every time. She will reward you for a long time.

Looks like you already have your answer.....Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go??? park it for awhile it will feel faster when you get back on. Or you can gear it down and get a great 0-60 feel thats pretty cheap.

Just when I was about to get my cable TV hooked back up, Loco saved the day I will leave it unhooked for awhile longer

Agreed it happens all the time with guy's trying to buy airplane's Some have even sent really good looking cashiers checks that are not worth the paper there printed on. The gov has a website to forward these types of emails to.

Protecting Plastic from melting w/ T-5's
Old Two-Smoke replied to OnlyA2Stroke's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
If your melting plastics with t-5s then a piston is next. Go for it, you will love them -
Klotz R-50

Stock carbs--The jetting depends totaly on the density altitude the temps here change alot. Last month it got up to 70, yesterday I rode at 26 degrees. T-5s on the pipes std elevation is 3950.
-
Noss is the way to go on your head, great customer service. You can look at their website and get an Idea of the domes you want for your altitude. I dont think you can go wrong with Jeff at F.A.S.T. he is a very good guy to work with. And he has great customer service.

Not to be a smarts ass but if your really greek to the banhee thing, my advise would be to buy a decent bike. Hardly ever do people get out what they put into a bike. Go find a nice one ride it enjoy it, if its not your bag then sell it. If you fall in love with it then change what you want. If your like most new people buying a basket case you will just get frustrated wont be able to ride it and it will just be a POS in your garage.

I finally got time to get back on this project. It has about 6-7 hours on it now. I did a WOT plug chop ended up with a nice 2.5 mil brown ring. Did a few hours of mid throttle position and the end of the plug is brown at the center of the ground strap and black at the base. After having done that, I turned my oldest daughter loose on it, she wheelied the first three gears and told me ( have fun riding your new blaster dad I am keeping this) Shit Jeff looks like I am going to be looking for two more Banshees now. Will you be able to supply the velcro with the next couple of kits? we need help holding on.

Glues dont work well on plastic, you can get a cheap welding kit from Harbor Freight. Or there are several other places that sell the equipment at a much higher price (you get what you pay for) Just remeber once you get it heated up keep moving or you will have more than just a crack. Make sure you stop drill each end to prevent it from going further.

I have a 4 mill cub on stock carbs. 310 main toomy needles 25 pilot jet. I am at 4000 feet. I drilled my pilot out to 26 the thing just screams. We put my sons 35s on it yesterday, it didnt have near as nice throttle response, but yes I m sure they make more power. I put my stock carbs back on it just spins like hell so I dont need any more power until I get it to hook I am running 22 razr 2s and 14-42 gearing.
-
I use gray rtv, it works great I also put some on each corner of the skid plate
-
380 seems fat to me I would go up a size in your pilot jet and down one on your main. However if you truly feel you are that close, just add a small washer under the clip and you will be between the grooves..

You dont say if your running a high HP engine or not. What oil are you running? If it was new and wasnt properly oil soaked to start with, you most likely smoked it right away and after that it gave up all together..Also make sure the pressure plate isnt warped..
-
Have you checked to make sure your key is in the proper position so your not running -4 If your plugs are the right color I would check your timing

Save your money on port work. Buy yourself a Clymer manual, and a cub kit. Take your time and it wont take you over two days. I just did my 05 took about 8.5 hours start to finish. It totaly blows away my wifes ported 04. Two cycle engines are the hardest to design but the easiest to work on. I will never waste money on porting again. Just my 2 and a half cents

F.A.S.T...You should enclose a roll of velcro when you sell these parts to an old guy like me It would sure help me hang on. Now if I can just figure out how to keep my wife on her own machine.
-
Yesterday I pulled the engine on my 05 tore it down, and installed a 4 mill crank and 68mm Cub. It was dark when I finished so I just did 3 heat cycle's and went for a short ride around the house. Today I took it out for a few runs... it is the shit. It smokes the tires in 2nd and 3rd wheelies 4th and 5th. 6th gear just keeps pulling now my wife wants one too....

No dont sell it just build another, you will kick yourself later. Its only 10 grand you can piss that away before you even get the new bike started.
