  1. Ok...Stock porting, 2 into 1 carb single 35mmPWK, Milled head with re-cut domes, +4 swingarm, and +4 timing...... I am riding strictly dunes....mostly in the dunes not a lot of drag racing....but Bansheeryder21 and I have daily races up Test Hill for bragging rights.....Anyhow, i'm always loosiing but his bike is ported. He's going to run 14/41 with 20x8x8 Haulers.....that'll work for him.....but for me i'm running 13/41 and the thing rips through the gears with no real pull on the top end.....i run out of gear....there's plenty of motor there but i just pin it and it's only going so fast......i don't want to loose the low end for cruising the dunes but i would like to pull harder up the hill.......i wouldlike to be able to pull hard into 5th gear on the hill......noo need for 6th.....but at the same time cruise dunes with plenty of throttle response for those razor backs and walls......i have a 40 tooth rear that i thought about trying with the 13 front.....any thoughts would be great....
  2. I just bought the CV setup and i bought the airbox adapter also.....It's really easy to trip the lip on the airbox and ge tthe adapter plate to line up just right....i had the K+N t into one setup without an airbox before.....so i didn't see just having that setup laying around so i went with the airbox adapter....it's going to flow just as good if you cut away your airbox....all you need is the front part to support it and the billet filter adapter.....cut the rest off round the edges and it'll look just as good as a pod filter......and you won't loose it cause your clamp worked loose either.....haha see those all the time in the dunes.....the loan pod filter lost while duning the unsuspecting rider never even knows till he gets back to camp!!!!
  3. well there they were installed on the banshee in the pic.....i'm no expert but that was a hell of a deal....
  4. After you get the puller....pop off the flywheel....you might need a buddy to help by holding the flywheel with a strap wrench so you can loosen the nut on it.....you should do the 35 dollar timing advance while you do the flywheel.....you have access to all that stuffwhen the flywheel is off and it's very easy to do.....rickey stator.com i thin is the web site....you can get the timing plate from them....35 bucks..... Look up booneman on here he does the flywheels for around 60 bucks.....he did mine and you can really notice a difference in the revs...
  5. I just bough the 2 into 1 setup and am really excited to get it installed and check out the performance. Based on the guys here in the forum i'd say that the people running the setup love it and wouldn't go back to duals.....the died in the woold dual carb guys wouldn't run 2 into 1 if you gave it to them....that's the cool thing abou this forum....you will get multiple opinions to base your decisions off of......go with what you think you'll lik eof ryour style riding....
  6. I am running a similar setup.....did you get the Toomey needles that came with your T-6 pipes....if so you need to be running those needles with the clip on the 2nd from the blunt end.....also how far out is your air screw.....i would recommend starting at 1.5 turns out......with that 310 main and the clip right it should be crisp throughout.......let us know how it responds...
  7. could be worse....i talked to the guy and he has negative feedback but hey....he made me an awesome dela on his ALBA swing arm.....to each his own.... any way you look at it that is a smokin deal on some seriously wicked shocks.... here's the link again..... http://cgi.ebay.com/works-black-widow-shoc...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/works-black-widow-shoc...1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. here are some a-arms from the same dude......he said that he'll part with the whole front end for 1200......looks like it might go cheaper than that if you bid NOW......... Sick used a-arms.....you can't beat this price...... http://cgi.ebay.com/Lonestar-2-1-chrome-ex...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. got some pics of that swinger? I might be interested.
  10. what do you think about those 34's on a stock motor.....only thing i have is the t-6 4degree timing advance and the lightened flywheel.......oh and also a shaved head with re-chambered and re-cut domes.....can i jet those carbs way down and still run them or should i wait......what else do you have???? Got any reeds?
  11. I have a nice T-Maxx r/c truck that i'm looking topart with for the right banshee parts. It's got locking differencials front and back and it also has the .15cc engine. Nothing fancy here just a t-maxx not really used that much with the radio, extra battery, battery charger, little bit of 20% Nitro, gas bottle, glow plug heater, i also have the stock body and one other body to go with it. Everything you need to get out there and have fun with it. I would be interested in trading for Carbs, Manifold, Reeds, CDI box, pretty much anything performance related that is in near new condition....(no busted ass stuff)will be considered. We can work out the shipping whenever we figure how who wants this thing. Pm me or whatever with offers. THANKS!!!!
  12. There is also a place that i have used called Elderado Sand Blasting and Powder coating down by 32nd street. They did the frame on my 400ex a couple years ago and i just had them do the engine cases and the hubs and a few other parts for that bike not to long ago. They do greta work and the turnaround is great. Also the pricing was good too. I think I only payed 185 for the frame to get done. Anyhow call down there and ask for Kevin....he is the owner. He's an older guy and a real nice guy to boot......here's the # 619-696-0700
  13. What are you riding Anthony? i ride an 02 SHEE......stock except for t-6 toomey needles 310 mains and the airbox chopped off with the K+N
  14. So.....i know this is probably somethingt that has been covered a hundred times... How much do i want to advance my timing.......my buddy and i both are doing it.....i just have t-6 pipes and toomey needles with 310 main jets.......k+n filter with the airbox chopped off......i was thining 4 degrees but not sure if that is the best setup????? we're lightening the fllywheels at the same time so i wonder what the best timing advance would be......and what additional mods i would need to get the most power.......i also am planning on doing the NOSS cool head with 20 cc domes...maybe even 19cc.........
  15. Has Cameros in his sig. on a Banshee Forum???????????? What's up with that???????
  16. He's not trying to port and polish NOW...there are 100 things you can do to a Banshee before you tear into the motor to port and polish........come on now....gearing is a huge deal...get it right and there is a big difference in the attitude of your SHEE......
  17. you also have to think about durability my man.......do you really want to spend all that cash to watch it get chipped and beat up.......cause it's gonna!!!!! doesn'[t matter if you baby it....it's going to chip......it's paint.......and the clear will discolor over time......just stick with the powder coat.....a lot more durable and cost effective...
  18. doesn't sound too bad....but the question is what all do you have done to the bike? Also what is your elevation.... I ride in Gordons well all the time and i run a 310 main with Toomey needles.......it works great for me.....all i have is the t-6 pipes and a K+N filter.......airbox chopped off.......but each guy is going to be different so pick and choose what works for you.......i'm 1 1/2 turns out on the air screw by the way.....
  19. ok.....i see....i accually called and spoke with Allen out at Fox......he is a really nice guy and a straight shooter....he's been around a long time and i would love to see what he can do with the bikes!!!! Thanks A ton for the advice fellas!!!!!!
  20. i'm not to sure bro.....i think that the 14 tooth will be back to square one....it's baqck to stock gearing, you know what i mean.....i think you should try something different and see what YOU like.......try to go up a little on the rear and see what you get....it's so easy to swap out those sp;rockets man...we can do it right there at the camp if it doesn't work out....so if it were me i would go buy a couple different rear sprockets...you know cheap ones....and run them one by one and see which one you like over the course of the weekend......if you find one that pulls hard like you want....then invest in a good sprocket and chain......it may cost a little more because you bought a few extra sprockets but hey....what's 50 bucks in the BANSHEE world!!!!!! hahaha i know you feel me on that one!!!!!
  21. what do you want for the stock cylinders w/no porting???? I'm in San Diego, Ca.
  22. I think you should go with what the first guy said......try something simple first......nothing to drastic....between the faster revs and the timing advance we've done......you'll be KICKING MY ASS up TEST for sure bro! Go back to the 14 in the front and see what happens....we've already got the stuff apart to get to that......i'll put a 13 on my bike and we'll see who rules the HILL.....
  23. my buddy and i did our tiing plates the other day...we're waiting to get the flywheels back from boonman but the onstall was easy.....removed the old one and install the new one exactly how it came off.....i have no idea what you would advance for your motor but the overall install is a breeze.....
  24. Yeah i'm interested too. But no sense messing with the valves if it doesn't do any good....you know what i mean? Anyone have any feedback at all.....any gains or losses......????? or is this mod like the boost bottle......absolutely worthless?????
