  1. what is your current suspension set-up?
  2. and your intentions for this banshee?
  3. google elevation finder
  4. That's an excellent suggestion.Just don't use SOS... Lol
  5. List your mods and elevation. Carbs Filters Reeds Pipes
  6. If you're going to run that oil, then yes. When you lean your mixture out, you're going to have to rejet. Mixing leaner yields a richer fuel to oil ratio, so you'll have to lean out your jets because you'll have more fuel parts per million than oil parts per million than your current mix of 32:1. 32:1 means 32 parts fuel to 1 part oil. 50:1 means 50 parts fuel to 1 part oil, follow? 12.5oz to 5 gals is ~50:1. I run Yamalube 2R at 40:1. That's exactly 1pt, 16oz to 5 gals. Super convenient and no measuring at all. Simply dump a pint into a 5 gallon jug, fill with exactly 5 gallons and presto, ready to rock!!
  7. Give Jeff at FAST a call. They build some nice motors!! Or Bill at Driveline Performance.
  8. I know Amsoil Interceptor is formulated to run premixed at 50:1. Running it much richer than that yields problems. https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/2-stroke/interceptor-synthetic-2-stroke-oil/?code=AITQT-EA Repacking silencers is very easy. I think RMATV sells FMF silencer repacking. If your silencer end caps are riveted on you'll need new rivets and a rivet gun possibly unless you can get the silencers apart from the stinger tube to silencer interface,
  9. Now that I've built the suspension to the max, riding WFO is all I do now.Wicked aggressive dune riding. I went out with a couple HQ guys in Pismo last Labor Day and burned a tank to reserve in 30mins. I'm looking to get a Clarke 5.5 gal tank.
  10. Yeah Richard told me the same thing. He was about 2-3wks total including shipping to and from him. He mentioned something about moving to the PNW to retire.
  11. That's exactly where I'm now too.I wanted to do your exact build, but I'm going to sell my stock bore cyls and crank. Buy a set of 4 mil 66mm bore low port timing Driveline cylinders. I'm gonna have Bill port them for maximum area under the curve. Gonna have my stock head cut to run race gas Drivelibe domes. I set for sea level and another set for 4,000 ft asl.
  12. Here are my Suspension mods: | Fireball Racing LT A-Arms | Elka LT Stage 5's | | Fireball Racing +2 HD Swingarm | RPM Dominator +4 Axle | | House of Horsepower Resprung/revalved Rear Shock | Here are my Controls mods: | Fireball Racing +2+1 Anti-Vibe Steering Stem | Streamline Steering Stabilizer | | Pro Taper Contour CR Mid Bend | ODI Rouge Grips | ASV Pro Shorty Levers | | YFZ450R MC and Calipers | Streamline 54" 2 Line Front Brake Lines |
  13. Words of wisdom right there ^^^. Yeah man, spend the coin on suspension and controls first. Banshees handle like shit stock, and that's a fact. Bolt on power is good for 40-45whp. I'm looking for more power now. Check my mod list in my profile.
  14. Rear stock shock is a decent shock. Richard at House of Horsepower rebuilds and revalves stock rear shocks for your riding style, weight with full gear and your length swing arm very reasonably and quickly.
  15. Yup, page 29, top right hand column.See if this link works. http://ftp.dwtracing.com/Public_DropBox/APP%20GUIDE%20111716.pdf
  16. FYI, Douglas Blue Labels in 8x8 wide, 8x9 wide and 8x10 wide.
  17. Create photobucket account. Upload image to photobucket. Get image link and paste link directly in post on forums.
  18. I'd start there.Forget the cs agents at athena.
  19. Radar mentioned .042" - .054". The angle of the squish band relative to the piston dome angle is also critical. Where did you get the 18cc big bore domes? My suggestion is contact Athena's customer service and ask for technical assistance and tell them you're running 100 octane AV gas at 4,500ft. One would hope they can get you the correct profile domes for use with 100 octane AV gas at 4,500ft. If they can't help you, call Driveline Performance, which you should've done in the first place for a no nonsense bolt-on 392 kit and see if they have any experience cutting domes for Athena 392 big bore pistons.
  20. That's exactly why I said to do a squish band test. You say it ran good with the domes that came with it but you wanted more compression. Why didn't you call who you bought the kit from and talk to them first before buying OTS big bore domes? OP, do you know what model # pistons are in the motor? Like sleeper and radar said, you have a dome issue.
  21. Oh, and to the OP, Amsoil Dominator is formulated to be mixed at 50:1. Look in the applications paragraph. And Google, "amsoil dominator 2 stroke oil mix ratio". https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/2-stroke/dominator-synthetic-2-stroke-racing-oil/?code=TDRQT-EA
  22. Read thru this thread. Last post is good info. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/58613-34mm-mikuni-flat-slides/ Another good read. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/33644-4mil-stroker-dune-port-34mm-mikunis/
  23. What did you mean in your first post, "it ran great before". Before what? All of those changes you listed, or just going to the 18cc domes? Personally I think you're rich as hell!!
