it's cost effective. There could be full color prints but the cost would jump up a ton. I lose about 100 bucks with each new issue I come out with since I do not charge for them. I do get money from record labels and bands advertising but I am yet to make a profit. I did cut the loss from 450 an issue to 100 an issue so I'd say I am doing good. Now if everyone wanted to chip in a few bucks at the time of pressing I am sure we could get a non glossy color (like newspaper color) with a glossy cover going. It shouldn't be too bad, but I am surely not going to do that on my own.

I do some grassroots free music magazines in my spare time. Takes quite a bit of time and effort, but if you guys wanted maybe I could start something up based out of the HQ? It should not be too bad to crank out a 30 or so page zine on these things every few months. It will be black and white but if you want, speak up and I will act upon it.

Too bad you don't powdercoat too. Perhaps you should look into it? A arms should fit in a regular oven. Then you could powdercoat them to what ever color and tag on another 40 or 50 bucks per kit. In any event this is a really cool service! How strong are the stock 450 arms?

I am not talking about on the track. I mean drag racing. Lets say someone has a cammed and piped 450. Then someone has an MX ported PT mid, single carb, and all the other typical mods that would go with a set up like that.... how close are they going to be in a drag race?

Thats exactly what I was thinking of doing. How much did it cost you to get yours going part by part? If it is going to be a ton more than buying a complete I may have to save. Seems like when ever I save the world throws a curveball at me and I have to spend my savings. If I buy part by part I can't go paying a bill with a banshee frame haha. thats what really has me thinking. Maybe I can find a cheap roller on here. I doubt I will find anything near massachusetts though.

I was thinking of this too. Problem is finding Shee's in my area. They are rarely for sale and it seems like no one around has one. I have never seen a broken down one and I have only met two people that own them. Shops up in this area would not even order them new when they were available. If I do get one I will have no problem fixing it since I wrench for a speedshop for a living. I have full access to all thier tools plus my tools and discount on typical machine work like rebores. I know I am not going to get a bike that can beat my friends bikes right now. At this point I will jsut be happy to be out there. Down the road I would like some big power mods though. If I could get something piped, and jetted with a cool head in the next year or two I'd be a very very happy guy. Here are a few more quick questions... Whats the downfall of cubs on a trail? Could I get my crank welded and be fine with cubs, or should I look into aftermarket cranks? How much does it cost to get a crank trued and welded? I can't take it anymore. I NEED a banshee. I have wanted one for far too long. I sit here and get my joy out of watching all you guys buy, build, and part out bikes. I want to be part of it but I can't ever afford it. I rode one Banshee in like 01 and I have been hooked ever since. My mom is sick with cancer and I am taking care of her and her mortgage, and I also have a 3 month old baby boy. I am so excited about my son, yet so sad about my mom, and all of it has me in the pits with the cash situation. I know I can never afford to buy a bike right now. That being said here are a few questions... You guys mod like crazy. I see some amazing shit going down here. Makes me wonder if I can part together a beater banshee off of all of your used stock parts? How much cash do you think that would set me back? I just want so bad to be out there riding and sharing stories with you guys and having fun. Now my day dream stuff... Once I get a quad I know I can only afford one single one, and I like to do all types of riding. I am talking sand, drag, small jumps, and trails. I live in an area where I can find anything from muddy trails to miles and miles of dunes so I need a bike that can do all of it. I also have a group of friends with yfz's, cannondales, and the new zuki 450. They all have near stock bikes but love to drag. When I say near stock I am comparing them to bikes like the ones I see here. The YFZ and cannondale seem to always be battling back and forth. I know both are cammed, and have exhaust and a few other mods. How hard would it be to get a shee to smoke a cammed piped YFZ? Would stock port and stock stroke cubs be too much for what I want to do? Do you guys think I should go with a stock, longer, or shorter swing arm? Perhaps a dune port and in frame drag pipes? Just build a nice MX shee and hope it has enough punch to hang with the guys in the drags? I weigh about 260 so it's a little bit harder to get me going haha. What would the downfall of cubs be on the trail? Do they just make so much power I will hurt my self? I rode MX on assorted 250 2 wheelers for years. Once I finally get a quad, it will be my first one. I ride my friends bikes quite a bit though.

if you want to get a bunch of parts from jeff at fast, have him do the cylenders and bore it for the pistons, I can do pretty much everything else. If you don't mind, ship the whole motor to jeff, I am sure he will treat you right. Also look into passion of you don't mind shipping.

I also played with behemoth a few times too. I can not beleive I forgot to ad them to my list. It's just so hard not to cut out bands you like with the choice of only 10. no clue what the proper way i, but last time I did one I took the engine out, and just did it that way. I needed to send some of it to the machine shop so it wasn't really extra work for me.

I could probably make a banshee ringtone. I am just not sure how to send it to phones over the internet. All you need is to get them in a .wav file and upload them to your phone with a data cable and some software.

for what, whole bikes or motors?

I use grips for BMX bikes. Most comfy long lasting ones I have used if you get the right ones. Last grip I ran was a demolition team grip.

hgahaha 2x4 would not be enough for this kid to hurt me. So last night I had a few friends over to play poker. I had my buddy mike, Brother Jim, Friend Andy, Cousin Jen, My step father, and my cousins boyfriend Pat. It was a 10 dollar buy in, winner take all. It all started out just fine and we were having a GREAT time. Jen, Mike, Pat, and andy were all drinking. Jen and pat started getting really drunk and really annoying but what ever. So we carry on playing, Pat gets beat out. We keep playing, Step father is out. Play some more and Mike is out. Now it is Me, Jen, Andy, and my brother. Pat is dealing since he had nothing else to do, and kept trying to tell us how to play since he watches the world series of poker on tv daily. It's sad because he is coashing us yet he is the first one out. Now we are all a good group of guys and we bust each others balls in good fun. Pat is sitting there dealing and being so damn annoying and drunk that poor andy went all in on a shit hand jsut to get out of the game and away from pat. I then out played Jen. So it is me and my bro. Heads up, I had barely any chips. I started making a come back, and was chip leader, and busting chops I said to pat "Damn man, your ears stick out far as hell, you look like a white Will Smith" and he decides to haul off and punch me square in the jaw. I was in shock for a second and started to whoop his ass once I realized he jsut hit me. I split the poor kids face open, and knocked him out cold with just a few punches. I felt bad, but he asked for it. Moral of this story... don't punch someone who's family owns a kick boxing gym and trains MMA, weighs more than 100 pounds more than you, and is annoyed by you all night. Second moral... Poker is fun as hell so long as you do not have idiots acting up and everyone has a good time. If you have a chance to play a few games outside of a casino I say go for it.
