And, if the woofer has 2 ohm voice coils, theres a good chance you might have blown the amp. Only powering 1 coil, you were only giving a 2ohm load to the amp, and most (a lot of) amps can't do a 2 ohm load in bridged mode.

For $35 I think its worth the money. And Id get the plate over modding, just for the peace of mind of knowing how much advance you're running instead of guessing.

Its just the natural cycle. People all said the same thing about Mcgrath. He would lose a race occasionally, but generally just checked out in first couple laps and build up a huge lead. RC was young, and when Mcgrath finally started to fall off, thats when RC came into the spotlight. He had finally built up some experience, had a few years under his belt, then he was ready to go. Same thing is going to happen again, maybe with stewart. Give him a few years, let him get some experience, and RC will start to fall off as bubba is there to take his place.

Out of those 3, floats. I've had my mind set on TCS for a long time, but after riding a guys quad with floats on it a couple weekends ago, no question. Not to mention every person I've seen thats gotten them raves about them. Works, well, I've never been impressed with Works, they're good, but if I was going to spend money, I'd go with someone else. I had a pair, and they were better in the woods, but not leaps and bounds. And they bottomed just as easy as the stockers did. Pro series might be better, but I doubt it. And Elka has gotten too big IMO. They aren't custom built shocks anymore like they want you to think. They spend soo much money on advertising and sponsorships, thats what you're paying for now. Sure they're good, and I wouldn't mind having some, but I'll save my money for something else unless I come across a great deal. Plus the ability to change the Fox shocks whenever you want just by adding a few psi sounds great.

It might work, but I doubt it. The rz500 wasn't a v4 really either. It had 2 crankshafts, so it was more like 2 parallel twins slapped side by side. A big porker of a motor, although it made decent power.

As far as going to war for oil (which isn't what this thread was started for, theres been plenty of those), if we did, we didn't do too good of a job getting the oil. While the oil companies are making record profits, thats coming from the record amount of sales, they are still operating at a couple % profit margin. The same as they always have been. OPEC is the one making all the money. (although I do think they could definately lower the price of gas without going under) And I've talked to several soldiers that have been over there, and they all say that most of the people over there are glad we are there. My cousin said in the first few months, they couldn't walk through the streets without being paraded by the public. We've put more infrastructure into that country than there ever was, or ever would have been. Now sure, we need to hurry up and get out of there, but try getting some first hand information about the place, CNN doesn't count.

But its not even communism that we're leaning towards (or socialism, or fascism), its something else entirely. Communists are about the workers uniting to bring down the capitalists. The workers own the means of production, and everyone is given what they need (think star trek). They're trying to take down the capitalists. Yeah I know, thats not how the Soviet Union worked, but they weren't communist, thats just what we called them (United Soviet SOCIALIST Republic). Here, what we're doing is giving enough handouts and welfare to keep the masses out of poverty so they think they have it good. Meanwhile, the rich just keep getting richer and finding new ways to hold us down and pull the wool over our eyes. And revolution would be a good idea. The basic idea of our government isn't bad, but where there is wealth and power to be had, there will be corruption. Just wondering how many of you heard about this. The supreme court has held for a long time that flag burning is free speech, and struck down any law prohibiting it. Well apparently congress has a few times now tried to introduce a constitutional amendment banning flag burning. It just a few days ago went before the senate and only failed by 1 vote (it already passed the house). The supporters say it is a sacred symbol of our country that deserves protection. But I don't think that many people that support this amendment fully comprehend what it could mean. Our courts interpret the constitution to determine whether or not certain laws are allowed. If an issue is not expressly discussed, they have the ability to decide based on case law, and their interpretation of the constitution. An example is how freedom of speech is defined. Speech is a literal word, yet the justices have expanded it immensly, covering actions, written words, pictures and so on. How do we know that this amendment would not be used in the future to limit our freedoms? Heres an example: The wording of this amendment states "The Congress shall have power to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States". The flag is a sacred symbol of our nation right? So it should be protected. Well, our presidency is a symbol of our nation right? Its already illegal to say you want to kill the president. So lets make it illegal to burn an effigy of the president. Courts will probably uphold it, its a symbol, the flag is a symbol, the constitution protects the flag right? Well, now that desecrating an image of the president is illegal, well, cartoons desecrating the president are pretty similar too right? Lets make them illegal. Sounds kinda familiar now doesn't it? Like all the controversy about the islamic cartoons. We all scoffed at that, saying its just a picture, its free speech. Well, its just a piece of cloth. Now sure I might be exaggerating there, but seriously, don't think for a second that our courts wouldn't interpret this amendment in other ways. And yes my blood boils too everytime I see someone burning our flag, but thats the thing about our country, we have the freedom to disagree, to show our protest. Right now in the world there are only 3 countries that ban flag burning, China, Cuba, and Iran.

The whining and crying is human nature, we don't want to admit something is our fault, we want it to be somebody/something elses fault. Well what kind of drag is he running? 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, 300 ft? Ive seen a guy at the drag strip here pull 11 sec 1/4 mile. I've seen videos of banshee's in the 10s. Not to mention all the banshee's everywhere running in the 3s in 300ft races. He might be fast, but there is someone faster somewhere. If I remember right, whatshisname with the turbo hayabusa shee had to use a titanium axle because the stock axle was preloading (like a torsion bar), and stripping teeth off the sprockets. Its possible, but I doubt a cr500 is doing it.

Man, if I hadn't just rebuilt a few months ago, I would have jumped on your offer. But I would like to see the person that does it (maybe a drawing), be able to take it to a dyno (before and after) to show us what we can expect, rather than simply saying "man its fast as shit now".
