  1. That's not fair to them man! It's not a race organized by Planet Sand, the thread just got started there. http://www.planetsand.com/forums/ubbthread...ge/1#Post679440
  2. AMEN BROTHA! I had some Sand Skates 2's and they some times slide too much when you're ridding the side of steep dunes, and they don't pull you up the hill as good as a hauler. Go with the Haulers, you won't regret it. People won't like ridding behind you, but you'll look cool ass hell when the Haulers are kickin up sand even when you're just cruisin.
  3. I'll be there!!!!
  4. Some people say they are still going on the 11th, but it's officially the 18th.
  5. GOOD LUCK! Forecast is 96 degrees, but the afternoons are still nice.
  6. Thanks! You never know with this crazy ass weather these days. The forcast for Saturday was 97 yesterday, and now they are saying 90, But the nights are perfect. Good luck!
  7. It was pretty hot out there this weekend, but we still made it.
  8. I'll there this Saturday. A cousin of mine just finished building his drag bike. I don't know the specs, but we'll be out there testing at Olds after 12:00pm.
  9. When you say Indian School, how do you get there? I've only been down by the bridge. If my uncle backs out on our Glamis trip today, I'll try and make it to Hassayampa on Sunday. What is a good time to head out there?
  10. We'll be heading out Tomorrow around noon.
  11. I'll be out there on Saturday. I'm taking a couple of newbies. I've takin them to Gordon's, this will be their first time at Glamis. They own Polaris's, so we'll be puttin along...LOL
  12. I was trying it this way cause it just seems easier, but when I go to turn, it pulls the tie rods with it. I was just scared to snap one of them. How much can they handle?
  13. My Left wheel is toed in a little and can be noticable in the sand with my Dune Trackers. I only found a couple of topics on this, and I'm not sure what piece on the tie rod to adjust. I loosened the screws that hold the center piece (tube) in place. Now, do I adjust that piece or the tie rod ends? If I adjust the tie rod ends, do I pull the one off the spindle and just give it full turns in/out of the center tube till the alignment is set?
  14. Dropping my pilot from 30 to 27.5 and raising my needle to the fourth clip (Toomey Needle) cleaned my bottom up real good. Mine would sputter a little and hesitate.
  15. My bike would also bog when trying to take off in second. It cleaned up after dropping my Pilots from 30 - 27.5 and raising the needle one notch.
  16. I just got back from the dunes and I got to ride a couple of bikes with Gecko's. I didn't like them at all. But then again, they where mounted on a 500 Predetor and a 400 Scrambler, both heavy a$$ bikes. The tires where spinning to much, and they would slide way out when turning. Nothing like a Hauler!!!!
  17. Well, looks like I'm keeping the carb settings that are on my signature. We went out to the dunes on Saturday and the weather couldn't have been any better, maybe 70 degrees. My Shee was screamin all day long. I pulled my plugs, and they where a beautiful chocolate brown. I took it easy on the filter oil for the out part of my Uni. I noticed that the sand didn't stick to it this way.
  18. Mine where off by quite a bit. The right side would lift before the left side, so I adjusted the Left. My tors are off, so I turned the top screw Counter Clock Wise, like you would to loosen a screw. This tightens up the tension of the cable with the slide and a few trys later, they where right on. Hope this helps
  19. I've been using Klotz Supertechniplate(20% Benol, 80% synthetic) for a year now. No sludge build up in the carbs, not a lot of smoke and smells like your running racing gas! Bell Ray gear saver for the crankcase.
  20. I think Black n Blue looks SIC! Go for it.
  21. My Tommey needle was set to the fourth down from the blunt end and I had hesitation at midrange. I guess that's considered 3rd clip if you count from the bottom up. I dropped my main from 30 - 27.5 and raised the clip up one (third down from blunt end) and it really cleared it up. Even the sputtering at bottom cleared up.
  22. I got a replacement at Home Depot. A year later, and it still works fine.
  23. You guys think I'd be ok just oiling the main filter good and leaving the pre-filter and outerwear dry? I mostly ride at the dunes (Gordon's / Glamis). It just seems that the fine sand sticks to the outerwear and stays there once the oil gets on it.
  24. that's what I thought? I notice the outwear gets oily cause it's up against the prefilter.
