I bought my bike last year with this filter setup. It has the Uni Filter PODS (Grey) and each pod has a foam sleeve that goes over them (Orange) and an Outerwear over that. Is this a normal setup or am I restristing to much air this way? I've been trying to dial in my jetting and I'm having trouble especially at the dunes after the filters get dirty. The reason I think I'm restricting is cause on my third day at the dunes, I popped my 320 main back in and it ran really bad when it ran almost good all day on day 1.
-
Yeah, I used to have a set of 10x10 wheels on my 250R back in the day. They felt really firm and the damn things where always getting dinged up cause they where way out past the tires.
-
Well, just got back from the dunes. Day 1 - The bike was running great with good response all the way through. But after running a good while, I would really have to shift down a lot or it would bog when slowing down, but no hesitation anymore in the middle  . Is this normal? It was kind of warm out. The plugs looked better, but still a tad rich. Day 2 - I dropped the main down from a 320 to a 310. I noticed sputtering in the middle? and not good response. I didin't ride much cause I just didin't like the way it felt. Kept the needle on the fourth clip (6 notch needle). Day 3 - I went back to the 320 cause it felt better then the 310, but now it ran like crap with a lot of sputteriing wide open? I don't understand if it ran good with this setup the first day? it was a little cooler on day 3 and my filters where dirty by now. What's your thougts? ::

With your setup, I would go with 20x10x10 - 8 paddle Haulers. That's what I'm running and believe me, you'll love them. I think http://www.rockymountainatv.com/ has the best deals on Haulers. They where having FREE shipping on purchased over $100, not sure if they still are.

Thanks for the heads up. My cousin just told me that his friends where going to drop their trailers off tomorrow at Buttercup.. I'll let them know. -
Gordon's Thur & Fri, Glamis on Saturday. Can't wait!!!!!

I did mention it was running rich, but didn't mention that my plugs where pretty wet when I pulled them out at Glamis. When plugs are fouled, will a rich Pilot or clip position cause this if your good on your main? Oh yeah! and I just noticed that I have toomey needles (6 notches) and set to the third clip. I moved it up one and it feels a lot better when reving it up, plus my slides where out of sync to. I'm sure learning a lot here. Well, I'll let you know how it rides at Glamis this weekend, and I am taking a set of smaller jets.

Took the bike out for a ride, but it still kind of sputters a little at take off. But when I ride it for a while, it doesn't do it anymore, only when I first take off after turning it on and warming it up. I don't have an open spot to go full throttle, I'll have to wait tell the weekend to do that. With a 320 main, should I try dropping it down one, or try the needle up one? I'll check the reeds today.

Sorry! I should explain a little better. Ok, the air screws need to be turned out and set to where it runs better, but what about the Pilot? Is it suppose to be turned out or just seated in all the way? I did turn it on yesterday, and I noticed that it idles better. I can turn my brother's shee on with choke half out, and his bike will idle with it on, my bike won't? I'll pull the choke out half way, start it and have to push it back in immediately or it'll die.
-
Ok, I replaced my Pilots with 27.5's but I forgot to turn them out 1. I was thinking the turning out was only on the air screws. When I pulled my 30's, they where screwed in all the way. So, is it important to go back and turn them out? I didn't run the bike yesterday cause it was late and I didn't want to piss off the neighbors.
-
Thanks! I'll try that. So when you say .5 on the screws, are you talking about the air screws?

I forgot what my compression is. I had it checked at the shop and they told me it was still in the good range. They wrote the compression down on the work order. I'm running 20x10x10 8-paddle haulers and the needle is stock. Should I start with 1 1/2 out on the Pilot when I change it?

I've been reading topics on this forum, but I just want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. My bike starts good (first or second kick with the choke half out), but at take off when the shee's been sitting in the garage for a few weeks, it kind of sputters but then cleans up after running for a while. Ever since I bought the bike, I always knew that something was missing, it just doesn't have the clean snap my brother's shee has. I can pop new plugs in, and it runs great for a while. I mostly feel the hesitation when I'm dunning. I have to shift down a lot to get around when I slow down and really have to gas it. What gets on my nerves is that I'll gas it, but then really kicks in a few seconds later. I pulled my plugs when I was at Glamis for Halloween and it's running rich. I went on the BHQ ride at Glamis but didn't think to ask the guys about it....Dumb a$$!!!! Now, since the bike hesitates around mid when I'm dunning, I should raise my clip up one? should I mess with the main? These are my mods: 13 - 41 Gearing, Stock motor, T5's, Filters w/no air box, 320 Main, 30 Pilot, Screws 1- 1/2 out, Needle at third Clip.

I just ran my new Haulers Holloween weekend at Glamis. Man! Big difference in the hook up compared to the Sand Sharks, especially on the steep dunes. 8 Paddle Haulers all the way!

I'LL SEE EVERYBODY THERE!!!!!!!! I'm taking off Friday Night and staying over at my parents in Yuma, then heading out in the morning. It's nice having family that close to the dunes.

Is the grab bar stock? -
Man! I might join you guys. My friends are flaking out one at a time and some say they won't be out till noon on Saturday. I won't know for sure till Thursday. But that's going to be sweet seeing all these banshees lined up and taking off at the same time.
-
I love Mother's! I've never heard of Magic Mix, I'm going to have to try it.
-
Yup! I use Armorall everytime! I first clean it with Simple Green then Spray Armorall and rub it in real good.
-
It's not a Banshee, but here's a pic, and wheels even match the paint job, Plus they're Daytons....... they might even be 24's. :shoothead: BIG BOOTY GIRL INCLUDED! :yelrotflmao:

What size of bolts do I need for an aftermarket handle bar clamp on my shee? Can I use something from the hardware store? I'm heading out to the dunes this weekend and I'm not sure if the bolts that I ordered will be in on time. The reason I don't have bolts is cause I sold some parts off my bike and I accidentally threw the handle bar clamp bolts in the box........
-
I'll be there! not sure if we're going to Glamis or Gordon's. I think Gordon's is the SH*T for dunning. Does anyone in the Phoenix area know where I can get a pair of 8 paddle haulers before next weekend? Hardly anyone stocks them. Screw Lewies has them for $98. I'm trying to find a better deal. 20x10x10 8-paddle (Not the extremes)
